Premium Member Look Closely

Look closely, feel the harmless heat
enveloping black-diamond
         petals in the glistening
            garden of glossy geraniums.
There, sprouts rosemary dreams
           from an untouched silhouette,
           eager to be seen beyond
      her perfumed pigments.

Her universe was sprinkled
with starry streams
of gleaming rays,
as she swayed to symphonic
serenades filled with hazel dust.
They may gawk with greedy
glares as wide as the night sky,
marking her with lecherous
objects that only please
shameless eyes.

She was never
in need of a sixth sense
to understand iron glances
that travel in nefarious packs,
with sugar-burnt hunger
washing all over her
unblistered flesh,
judging her concealer
as a manipulative facade,
seeking uncalled-for affirmations
that she never solicited,
misconceiving her thin lines
of red-river lipstick.

Her summer physique allowed
no consent for invasive intrusion,
yet carnal cravings become
unwelcome toxic trespassers.

Their immoral thoughts
believe shallow words
give them wanderlust wings,
while sinister stars in their sky
label her a soulless mannequin,
objectifying her
cinnamon-glazed skin,
sun-kissed hair,
and pecan-powdered~
caramelized voluptuous flare,
with their vehement
voracious desires.
Swinging penetrative thin blades
of opinions from miles,
oblivious to the fact that
she is the sanguine strength
that strolls in silver silence
across spiky swards,
suppressing the pain her
bones have endured with
every whiskering
whistle they wolfed.
There, if the mauve moon and
crystalline constellations look closely,
they would find versatile
mirrors of meaning
reflecting the times
she parades a smile too
comfortable to wear,
for they have concluded
her bed to be a shrine
of blenders and
overflowing thickened blades,
cursed by the biological
sins of Adam's ancestors.

The Scent of Your Soul

The scent of your soul
a caramelized breeze of fruit odours
reverberating softly through my memory
Throwing me right back into ninth grade
where we sat side by side
Your right arm reaching slightly for my back
Your name resonates gently with my spirit
as thoughts of you dwell in my mind
Carrying me back to the shade
of purple grape orchids in evergreen woods
Our first kiss perched upon last autumn's twig
still lingers in early morn's bone-china cup
wafting its pungent aroma of dark roast coffee beans
and so the smell of rubber tyres against the wind
Such revoked moments of unknown danger and defiant fun
Other moments,of beauty and snow angels
Of freedom and moonlights, sunrise and life
I can still recall the days, months, and years
till our footprints marked separate paths
Ah,those days,those last hours,How can I forget?
Sweet as frosty vanilla and chocolate chips of an ice cream parlour
Melting as spongy marshmallows and honey syrup
Fresh as the colour of your soul, which haunts me
like an alluring glance of almond-shaped eyes
This afternoon , like other afternoons I walk to the library
which knows the musky sweat of your palm upon my own
That fragrance 's gone now.All that is left is the fading perfume
of forgotten petals between old books and dust
No one here except my silence, and a rotten sliced apple
vacuum packed ,lacking its cinnamon and even its spice.
Back home, the mildewed strings of a guitar
await my fingertips to play once more
upon the worn out chords of my heart
What will I play,what will I sing ,a song which isn't ours ?
Fermented wine I poured into my glass
Yearning to taste its purple grape for what it was
before all it was turned bitter, acidic and sour
I wondered about where you might be ,distant or not as far
Listening to my voice on once upon a record player
Wishing on a star ?

Premium Member Poem Ingredients

Many ingredients bake writing inspiration.
This recipe combines a stirring sensation:

Heaps of desires never realized
as marinated in teary sore eyes;
Quantities of wide open spaces
caramelized by nature’s appeal;
Ageless genuine emotional traces
sifted thru heart rendered graces;
Equal parts family and romantic love
as roasted within, without and above;
Measured creamed ideals of peace
with blanched pain and battle grease;
Diced wishes braised with thrill
bearing aromas of tangy heat or chill;
Slices of awe from a glorious tree
breaded with traits strong and free;
I do not forget sour spices of greed
dusted with mankind’s violent seed;
A mix of fears dredged in anxiety
with stress jelled in complexity;
and, lastly, faith garnished spirit
grown in a soul conscious thicket.
If able, I mix love with ingredients above
before sampling my recipe once warmed up.
If savory, I enjoy serving in poetry cups.

Premium Member Karmic Kismet

When the Goddess of aroma
graces my caffeinated soul,
her milky quartz crown
                     shines in shades
                     of ineffable pleasures.
Invigorating arabica stars within
                  my senses to rise
                       like steamy silhouettes~
              laced in seraphic
                        aura of lotus chastity….

If coffee personifies
the electrifying taste
of my longing soul,
will fruity scents stir,
to evoke hidden
metaphors within this
mocha heart?

I’ll sketch
decaffeinated skies
with roasted beans
of brunette bliss.
Let colors of the
golden sun splatter
harmonious hues
of cosmic sanctity.
I’ll embrace the
aromatic elixir of life,
brewed with
floral hints of faith~
allowing unfiltered
essence of
meaningless mornings,
to reawaken an undying
thirst to illuminate
fading stardust.
Quenching serenity
from granulated values,
that depict
karmic kismet
across divine rivers
flowing with
spiritual awakening.

Perhaps, with every
sip of espresso,
we indulge a scoop of
cocoa gratitude,
expressing the
inner purity,
while happiness pours
into a crystal clear cup
of constant clarity.
There the light
of cinnamon
oozes amidst the
cleansed canvas of life,
to rescript an
ethereal ingredient
that guides us back to
a realm of rosier runes,
where ego has no palette
to rest upon,
for within us dwells
an immortal barista,
concocting healing drips
from caramelized visions.

I’ll hold on to these
unexplored cravings,
while the liberty of
conscience remains~
the first ray of
warmth I inhale.

When daylight befalls like
tints of tuscan tiramisu,
let me find the strength
to lure pale pigments
of weeping wind~
I’ll be the thread
that untangles unsettling
webs wrapped in
bitter breezes,
for the king of solace
and I, will become one;
celestially intertwined,
infused in bronze ink,
as one in a million flavors.

Lover's Paradise

A wink of the sun gently caresses my slumbered eyes

the rush of the tide slowly moves in and out

lightly dampening the virgin white sand

on this secluded tropical beach,

The scent of coconut fills the fresh oceanic air

and then I see you

emerging from the churning sea

more beautiful than Aphrodite

glimmering

your long soaked hair

 reaching down

draping that soft sweet skin

you sway

as you come closer

twinkling

 those caramelized eyes

so rich, so full of life

staring right at me

I speak

but you don't let me

placing your luscious lips upon mine

and we kiss

like we have never kissed before

as the last drop of water falls

off your sundrenched body.

At last

a lover's paradise

Beauty

Down in the valley

the yellow butterfly floats

in a field of white daisies

capturing a moment in time

Beauty

Perched up high on the hillside

sitting on a blanket

my best girl and me

arm in arm

watching life roll on by

Beauty

Gaze into those caramelized eyes

Looking deep into her loving soul

her sweet killer smile

grinning back at me

Beauty

Chasing her down the hill

Rolling together in the field

Soft butterfly kisses

Walking hand in hand

with a bouquet of daisies

Beauty

The Perfect Day

Mist rises from the valley floor

Sunshine peeks over the mountain top

silhouetting the Coopers Hawk

soaring in the southern breeze

I sit in my old oak rocking chair

drinking my dark black coffee taking it all in.

Mornings don't get any finer

I am one

one with nature.

The smell of flapjacks fill the air

Then out walks you

my heart skips a beat

as you smile

brighter than the clear blue stream

blending in beautifully

with the azure sky

your caramelized eyes glisten

each time you glance my way

I can't help but smile

for this is the perfect day

Moment In Time

A moment in time, frozen in my mind

Vision of beauty,

an angel in my eye

Sunshine sparkling down

Brightening up my cloudy days

Life was on the downturn

spiraling

lost...

out of control

Nights of loneliness. days of false smiles

A few choice words,

consoling my cries

Those killer smiles you gave

Those deep caramelized eyes,

giving solace to my broken heart

Taking my hand,

you lead me from the deep,

into the light.

Upon the next shooting star

To you, I devote my heart.

Lady In Blue

Moonbeams beckon on my window tonight
Dragging me out of this comfort to view
Delicate splendor impassioned so bright
Refulgent waves from this lady in blue

Dazzling in beauty, dignity and grace
Taut string of pearls adorning her bare neck
Highlight her dimpled and delicate face
Her eyes enchanting with a caramelized fleck

Soft scarlet lips with a wry little smile
Yellow cloth headband holding her silk hair
I stand there in awe and gaze for awhile
As sweet scents of lilacs float through the air

Strong my heart thumps for the lady in blue
Finally knowing my dreams could come true

Premium Member Ode to Earth

 her untamable sakura spirit
glows like sweet scents
of petrichor peace,
perfumed in jasmine water,
whilst there’s no path
to golden rays of sunlight,
she shines for the elite vines
trailing through silver
    gates of heaven.

and when the sky is a sea
of lilac lanterns,
   and mauve mists,
shifting amidst
  raining rhinestones
etched with mood-swings,
she remembers~
  God as the choreographer
 the mindful maestro,
tranquilizing trees tangled
 with roots of torment.

but chocolate cosmos
remain blindfolded
 by pearly lilies,
as the salmon-hued
  bird of paradise
blossoms from
 neglected lines
   of caramelized skin,
she still sprouts in solitude,
delicate but
 powerfully growing
from sepia roots
  of grief and regrets,
lessons learned
 through wisteria wisdom
earned from
 turmeric truth,
and holistic hymns of the
 almighty that echo
in captivating cadence~
as spiritual songs
  of sepals flourish
amidst withering petals,
there her frost-bitten
 soul found a healing field
in a poetic reverie,
where lyrical lines
   float above mulberry meadows,
sowing hyacinth herbs of kindness~
painting petunias in patience,
silently sprinkling
enticing anemones
as an inevitable sign
of eternal hope to freedom.

A poetic earth that shall remain
untouched amidst the cruel wind
that blow it’s way through,
while lakes of longing
 emanate soulful sagas,
synchronized from strings
of moon-kissed stars,
 unfurling light when darkness
dwell upon dreary hearts.

Mother-nature, compassionate
  spirit,
I hear her plea for
   empathetic emeralds,
engrossed with
righteous rubies,
 from topaz tenderness.

here, in singing silence,
I stretch my heart to
seraphic spheres,
for she lies in solitary stillness.
Let the beating hearts
of walking silhouettes
manifest silken fate for her
 divine aura.

Rivers may no longer flow,
and flowers may
   no longer be fragrant,
but faith shall
    never be perished,
and the wildest forests
  of her heart shall forever
flare evergreen
 dreams of tomorrow.

Premium Member I bleed Poetry

I bleed poetry to heal through
midnight confessions.
Mistress’s ink does not seek
your caramelized validation;
it has no desire to please
your feed of presumed perfection.

I’ve never tamed this
skill as an online profession;
this is just an unbreakable obsession~
I’m drowning in for a distraction.

Don’t question my
hazy metaphors,
veiled away from towering
thorns of introspection,
too vague and meaningless
for the skies adorned
with sleeping stars.
These scribbles of sentimental
symbolism may cause
digressing reactions,
for I’ve been sewing a
waltzing nightmare,
whilst counting syllables
within concocted connotations,
surfing through wicked
schemes of sunset-colored
sestinas to sunflower sonnets.

Now I knit hyacinth haikus
in honeysuckle hues,
woven from pristine petals
amidst wilting wilderness,
awaiting twilight that
would awaken words written
in repetitive refrains,
reigniting the flames
between spaces on fragrant pages,
so dreams will no longer
be more peaceful
than the air I breathe.

Although these lines
do not rhyme with teal-green
tides that sketch
turquoise beginnings,
I still hope time can maybe
guide this canvas home.

Premium Member Sweet but Psycho

She is sweet but psycho:
demons in her mind run wild at night,
refusing to let her see beyond grey circles,
that left her spiraling in panic
through perpetual plagues of pain.
Oblivious to the sparkling stars
arrayed in a straight line,
her memory's attic is clogged
with bruised tears,
collected from gloomy
summer symphonies of fear,
that froze her will
to comprehend what’s real
when creative lies become truth.
Yet she rises from hellish nightmares:
like morning sun-birds,
unaware of all the maniac mantras
chanted through wicked midnight hours,
dressed in darkness
as a paranoid piranha,
deeply irritating sane eyes,
her mystifying aura was never
destined for weakened souls,
lost in her own
messed up splitting perceptions.
She still keeps her faith intact,
finding peace from being understood,
amidst the unhinged chaos carried
beneath her caramelized skin.

Grow Old With Me

Breathless beauty shine bright tonight

my loving arms will hold you tight

no wind, no storm, no evil tide

will whisk you away from my side

I'll fly you to a land where eagles soar

where mountains climb from the shore

guide you to a meadow where nature plays

where geysers spout most every day

show you a place where the buffalo roam

where a simple man can make a home

we'll sail the sea under star filled skies

gazing deeply into those caramelized eyes

we'll have no worries, we'll be carefree

so take my hand and grow old with me

Dying Love

Those deep caramelized eyes

hidden behind continuous cries

Days, weeks, months

sitting at his side

holding his hand

the one who held your heart

the one who made you his bride

Lost, deeply entranced in memories

Nights laying by the fire

Captivated by desire

Those walks barefoot in the sand

Oh those days were grand

The soft slow kisses

The day you became his Mrs.

Making dreams come true

All the I love you's

I remember

Forty years ago when we met

sharing an umbrella

so I wouldn't get wet

You made me laugh

and giggle

.... at your jokes

I brushed your hand

and hair with little strokes

 remember

When we got to my flat

 didn't want to go in

You grabbed my hand

and pulled me in

That kiss was so sweet

One we would forever repeat

Where has the time gone

It seems like only yesterday

when we had our first date

You were not like anyone I had ever met

Such a gentleman, you were great

All those late night talks

cuddled on the couch

That little twinkle in your eye

You'll always be my guy

I miss those times

We'd sit on the porch

drinking our tea

I'd look at you

you'd look at me

We'd stare up at the night sky

Wishing upon falling stars

Picking one out

making it ours

I still hear our song

I still wear your favorite scent

I still long for your touch

where has all the time went

I know our time won't be long

I must remain strong

those tired baby blues wearily open

gently squeezing my hand

tears roll down

 you gaze lovingly at me

Another place, another time

again it will be we

..................

If We Ever Meet

If we were to ever meet

If these eyes were ever blessed

If we ever get a chance

a chance to walk

through resplendent rose gardens

gaze fondly upon tapestries

in the presidential palaces

I would not even see

not even be able to notice

their beauty

their allure

for all in my vision would be you

your candied coloured caramelized eyes

melting around my big red heart

If we were to ever meet

your smile would consume me

stop me where I stood

caress my soul and comfort me

tell me I'm finally where I belong

If we were to ever meet

before our final setting sun

my world would be a lot brighter

because I know you are the one
