Listen to the song "sweet but psycho " inspired by the title by Ava Max ;)

She is sweet but psycho: demons in her mind run wild at night, refusing to let her see beyond grey circles, that left her spiraling in panic through perpetual plagues of pain. Oblivious to the sparkling stars arrayed in a straight line, her memory's attic is clogged with bruised tears, collected from gloomy summer symphonies of fear, that froze her will to comprehend what’s real when creative lies become truth. Yet she rises from hellish nightmares: like morning sun-birds, unaware of all the maniac mantras chanted through wicked midnight hours, dressed in darkness as a paranoid piranha, deeply irritating sane eyes, her mystifying aura was never destined for weakened souls, lost in her own messed up splitting perceptions. She still keeps her faith intact, finding peace from being understood, amidst the unhinged chaos carried beneath her caramelized skin.

What a tremendous write, IE, portraying mental decline, caught in a whirlpool of habit borne thought spirals. To some extent, we each are so afflicted and can cure ourselves, if we so choose. Warmest congratulations on your top win in Silent One’s contest.

Your coinages of words stand out from the run- off- the mill type which I always use. "unhinged chaos", "under the caramelized skin", 'paranoid piranha', 'gloomy summer symphonies of fear' et al.... simply wonderful. The trauma experienced by a paranoid is so terrible and your understanding and empathetic approach to that human condition shows your ability to step into the shoes of another. Wonderfully composed dear gifted friend.

The love of my life is sweet but psycho.. but I would never replace her for anyone to be honest.. because i dont think anyone will love me like she does... love calms a person and over time she has calmed and become more patient... your poem has been wonderfully expressed in your own unique style.. maybe you should have included the sweet but psycho song.. I think i have a poem on the same theme as this.. maybe I should dig it up...

The depth of your understanding of this mental condition is evident in your luminating imagery, Ink. Your descriptions were all powerful and exquisite. People with mental illness find unorthodox ways to hold onto hope. It is so difficult to see people pass from sane to disturbed mentally. Bill

Your poem lays flat out bare her suffering. You cannot help but feel empathy for her. "Yet she rises from hellish nightmares: like morning sun-birds" especially gave me a real jolt.

Your sensitivity to the human condition shines through in this poem, dearest Ink. You have such empathy for those souls who struggle with mental illness. I thought this line was powerful: her memory's attic is clogged with bruised tears...so poignant and true. I can't imagine living life in such a manner, yet I've known many people who struggle with psychosis. I love the powerful flow of your words. Excellent! have a splendid evening, Sara

Reminds me of this show I just started watching - Chosen. Mary Magdelene is possessed and is sweet except when they are active. Fortunately, Jesus finds her and saves the day by healing her. Anyway, I loved your poem

Is it a horror one ? I recently watched something on netflix, there was some trial, its based on a real story, parents were blamed for using possession to not get help for psychosis. Which is very common, as there is a fine thin line between those two. Its a difficult one to debate on. Because i do believe in both. I personally dont like horror lolol my son gets me to watch some and its just a bit ugh. Thank you for your support alwyss

Must be so hard to live a life like this. Excellent evocation of her personality, Ink.

Dear Rhyme Friend, your lyrics have captured my heart yet again. The emotional spectrum of the poem reflects the obvious "psycho." It's deeply moving and sincere. You dived into a difficult and intriguing subject. Those who are mentally unstable are prone to psychosis. So many lovely people suffering from mental problems. You successfully captured their essence. Your imagery and poetic flow are superb.

Ink, I love all of it! I understand what Hiya is expressing, I feel the same way and I sense therein that which makes the protagonist sweet and psycho 'no balance' the destroyer. Yet there is something about her, she holds on to her faith. Hope. Poignant, and glad you understand her. My favorite! ~Soul-searching Anaya

Sigh, this is a very poignant and heartfelt poem with emotive shades which reflect the seemingly 'psycho' but I would rather say, 'vulnerable' reflections of her heart!"that left her spiraling in panic through perpetual plagues of pain"That's just so impactful dear Ink, truly expressing the sombre state."her memory's attic is clogged with bruised tears"Very soul stirring this is! "that froze her will to comprehend what’s real when creative lies become truth" Extremely melancholic with brilliance

"maniac mantras chanted through wicked midnight hours" You've woven a very powerful phraseology here with lines that reflect that she wasn't made for the darkness, instead she is a mystifying aura who wants to keep her faith intact and find peace through understanding and washing away the fogs of chaos that hide clarity. Wonderfully crafted my dear Ink, as always.. Sending you so much love & light!!
