Best Calm Before The Storm Poems

The Calm Before the Storm

There is this pause before a storm,
Before the sky take monsterous turn,
While the birds still sing there song,
And kid still laugh and play.

But then the birds stop singing,
And children go inside,
And then the rain begins to fall,
It starts out slow then goes a little faster,
Till it sounds like kettle corn on my roof,
Then I ask myself what happened to the rain calm before the storm.

Calm Before the Storm

lakes become quiet
when a breeze suddenly stops -
nature holds its breath

Calm Before the Storm'

It gets balmy calm like the air takes a rest.
No breeze, calmly everything stops'.Then? A tempest.
Forces all combined wind water hail, the heavens erupt.
Smashing uprooting pounding violent stroms will be abrupt.

The nations are shaky, Kingdoms endagered mandkind bracing before the storm.
Happenings earthquakes floods famines pestilence storms in strange places, Not the norm.
Soon a calm will signal to the nations come conglomorate making deals all for naught.
The coming storm is like a storm like no other at any time in human history it's a way for God to teach His laws a way of being taught.

God Our Father already knows. Our Creator is mindful.
His truths will stand He'll get our attentiion, Because? It's Spiritually lawful.
His 10 little laws are hard for carnal greedy vain men.
They, with the evil deceiver will never see God, (The real crime) their storm? Not having access ever to God and His Kingdom.

Calm Before the Storm

sit and listen to the quiet
it's outside the christmas norm
because now, when all is silent
it's the calm before the storm

the kids are upstairs sleeping
you're resting, sitting with a drink
in a few hours ...storms a brewing
it'll push you to the brink

the kids are up and yelling
paper wrapping all around
until the house is empty
no more rest today is found

the kids are outside playing
hockey games out on the drive
you just look around and wonder
if the day you will survive

next, arrive the in-laws
re-gifting what you gave last year
and good old uncle charlie
bee-lining for the beer

bad jokes and boring stories
arguements about the past
snide comments and back handers
how long will this all last

you sneak outside for a quick drink
grab a smoke on the back porch
if it wasn't your house they were in
the whole damn thing you'd torch

phony smiles and airy kisses
and the folks are on their way
the storm is almost over
for another Christmas Day

the kids are in and up in bed
there is silence once again
the calm once more before the storm
tomorrow, your folks come at ten!!!!

Calm Before the Storm - Cafe Musings Contest

The pavements stand empty the winds are still
Where are the people these chairs to fill.
Can hear shouts and cheering drafting in the air
Are these the people who will occupy each chair

They are at the Rugby an important game
So some with happy faces, some head hung in shame
Very soon waiters you'll need pads at the ready
Final whistle has blown keep your hands steady

For dozens of glasses of the best beer
Will be ordered shortly of that there’s no fear
Don’t look at those chairs wishing they were full
Instead enjoy the peace of this short lull

You will be run off your feet going this way and that
The one good thing is that the takings will look fat.
Such a busy few hours, no time to think
So, come let’s sit for awhile, relax and enjoy a stiff drink.

A great saying states there is usually a calm before the storm
How the feeling is frightening when it comes before a full moon
The nighttime storms can at times bring great fear and excitement

The Calm Before the Storm

From out of the womb we are born into a storm.
Like a cacoon emerges a butterfly.
Uncertain of what each day will bring.
We rise and except the offering.
The womb is the calm before the storm.
Where we form and are equipped with whatever we are dealt.
With only one way out.

Calm Before the Storm

Soft gentle breeze..
Warmth of the sun..
Golden rays of sunlight
Glows..
Seagulls flying high upon the deep blue sky..
Singing a magical tune..
As they soar and glide through the air..
A chorus of seagulls ..
High vibration melodies..

Waves of the ocean are in motion..
The pungent oder of salt air..
Sky so clear and vibrant..
Crystal clear blue..
Serenity had arrived..
Calm and peaceful..
Stillness..
Quiet and tranquil..

Like a rapid heartbeat..
Mother Nature takes a deep breath..
So drastic a change..
Lovely creatures seeked shelter..
No more Crystal clear blue sky..
Dark skies had dominated..
Dark charcoal grey in color..
Gloomy it is..
Waves of the ocean in motion had become agitated
Strong winds..
Enormous high tides..
Loud booms of thunder..
Fierce..
Quite a menace in the atmosphere..
Bolts of lightening..
Strikes..
A fire in the sky..
Buckets of rain falling rapidly from the dark sky..

Mother Nature surely takes charge..
She suddenly takes a few more breaths..
Silence had returned..
Once again serenity arrived..
The lovely creatures are roaming free once again..
Crystal clear blue sky..
Golden rays of sunlight glows vibrantly..

There is always tomorrow..
From dawn to dusk..
The sun will rise..
The sun will set..
Mother Nature shall always smile lovingly on us all..
Filled with beauty and divine grace..

Calm Before the Storm

On a night so
calm but shadowed,
as the calm begins
the storm,

there’s a hast
of almost glowing,
and a dark
begins to form,

quiet sense appears
to beacon,
as the unsecure
is born,

feel the breeze
of melting silence,
feel the rage until
the dawn.

An eerie calm has been encroaching
as dawn's pale light approaches the realm
of what is usually a normal morning
but no songbirds are softly trilling today
They've all taken shelter from the storm
the one that rumbles ever nearer... she comes

One of nature's evil forces is on her way
a strengthening femme fatale I fear
has set her course due north
Her compass arrow pointed right at me
She churns Gulf waters and raises tides
gulping it down as if it were an elixir
from which her hurricane winds swirl
She comes to inflict harm and pillage
among coastal villages and cities

Not a drop of rain has fallen, but she comes.
No traffic can be heard, not a single word
from children waiting for a school bus.
It's declared a stay home from work day
Francine will rule our southern coast
boasting as her pressure drops
and nothing can stop her chosen path
Her wrath will be done... she comes
this evening, she comes for us

Calm Before the Storm

And now it feels calm--
the thunder stopped,
the clouds turned blue,
the wind stopped hissing,
and the birds are singing.
It smells like sun and fresh cut grass
it feels like a warming blanket--
like a line of sun rays hitting my skin.
And I find myself smiling again,
laughing at the sky,
smiling at my phone.
But will it last?
It never does.

Calm Before the Storm

Total calmness as the sun does set
people going bout their ways, and don`t no the threat
of an abundant drastic change in weather
folk out on the moors knee deep in heather.

Starting a drizzle, higher gust of breeze
everything more or less at ease
the fork lightening lit up the darkening sky
women shreaking , baby gives out a cry

When in the next breath was an almighty roar
on par with when a football team score
torrential down pour of large drops of rain
the whole thing repeated over again and again.

The Calm Before the Storm

In the distance the thunder rolls
As the wind makes its presence known
The leaves on the trees nervously await
Once again, to be helplessly thrown

The flowers bow down to the winds mighty hand
As the birds look for some place to hide
The angry clouds are all gathered in force
To deliver its vengeance inside

The sun now imprisoned, it fights to be free
But its victory is no where in sight
The clouds are too many, for the sun to defeat
And together they smother its light

The very earth begins to shiver and shake
At the sound of the thunders deep voice
It begs for mercy and for the suns intervention
But the clouds give the sunshine no choice

The silence is deafening as the sun breaks through
And the thunder is made to conform
But it's only an illusion, the clouds use to deceive
The calm before the storm

The Calm Before The Storm Hurricane Milton

The wind speaks softly through the trees,
Whispering warnings none can hear.
Beneath the sky, a world at ease,
Yet shadows swell with silent fear.

The air is thick with waiting now,
The scent of rain, of earth’s dismay.
The branches tremble at the bough,
Unsure if they should bend or stay.

Sideways rain will lash the night,
But in this pause, we find a place—
Between the calm, before the fight,
Where love becomes our last embrace.

Your touch is soft as winds arise,
Your lips speak out, a calming plea.
Though darkness looms and thunders rise,
In this still moment, we are free.

The trees and bushes bend and shake,
An anxious heart within the breeze,
But here, with you, no fear can take—
We face the storm on bended knees.
