Best Browbeat Poems

Dear Dad

Father, oh, father can't you see what you've done.
Your hate has destroyed the lives of everyone.
You treated us bad and cheated on our mom.
Your temper was like trying to disarm a bomb.
Everyone said what they thought you wanted to hear.
Why you were always so angry was never very clear.
When I was four I saw you throw an ashtray at mom's head.
That was the day I new you didn't care if we were all dead.
I had to live with that knowledge my entire life.
It was clear you never should have had kids and a wife.
Once I was surrounded by a gang of street thugs.
Terrified, I talked my way out without throwing a slug.
You were watching in disgust from across the street.
You couldn't wait to get me home to begin your browbeat.
Instead of being happy that I didn't have to fight,
You made me feel worthless, chicken, and anything but alright.
As strange as it sounds I'd like to say thank you.
You were my anti role model as I got older and grew.
You showed me in many ways what not to be or do.
I knew I had to become just the opposite of you.
Here I am many years later, proud of what I've become.
Your lessons of anger and hate I was able to overcome.

Premium Member Would You Hire Me: a Resume

I am applying for the consultant position
of Office Manager for which I will audition.
I am undeniably qualified to deal with nitwits
and idiots I will immediately classify as 'twits.'

My solution to deal with those people is fair
It may not be righteous, but I don't care.
If your company is greedy to make money,
it's ok with me. Just give me my check, honey.

I don't browbeat employees with a big stick
when they come in late or say they're sick
I'll crack the whip on any numbskull at work
and there's one less lazy fool I'll call a jerk.

If you think my method is severe over kill,
you're right, because I don't show good will
to jackasses who keep making me mutter
words you would only hear in a street gutter.

I'll get control and do what needs to be done
and I promise I'll try not to pull out a real gun.
I'll need some handcuffs and maybe a jail cell.
Give me free rein and everything will be swell.

My resume' experience speaks for itself.
Once, I've even fired an Elf on the Shelf
I did it without a good reason or just cause
so you can waiver that harrassment clause.

You can hire me now for a trial run.
Keep me on or fire me, but I'm the one
you need to give brainless creatures the boot...
not due to my work ethic, cuz I don't give a hoot.

Premium Member Nature's Play

Warning bells had rung before
Nature may not like it anymore
the over exploitation of its store
but human greed did underscore
rules of coexistence as in folklore.

Our experiment with wild meat
transmitted a Corona virus fleet
silently mutating, us it browbeat
spreading one to other in a meet.

Choking lungs, it took away life
with no antidote, world is in strife
locked in homes with family and wife.

Life overscores over economic loss
points at nature to be ultimate boss.

Salute the frontline selfless saviours.

we must mend our value core
Lest nature is forced to repeat
and bleed us with another knife
and give us a more severe toss
striking at roots of our grandeurs.

The Revolt of Romance and the Returned Remedy

We tore out this hell and sank this English ship
We rafted a life till the Americas ran us dry
A sandy engagement, laughter, our world to tip
Our beats, our waves to sounds ugliest cry
In plunged your thunder to our words your stip
To have us quiet, browbeat, safe and nigh
Old masters married our merriment to desolation
Boys gauged, girls versed, and learned a false elation

Apology To Eliot

Let us go to certain half-desserted restaurant
Where cheese is spread on the table like an elkmilksheet
Steaks are burnt, curries are bland, puddings are mulberry mist
Let us go to certain half-deserted street
Where women come and go like milkrunners
Wenches in hand the spanners span the Einstein's space
( Here I am dizzy,I am confused, should it be my space?)
They are savvy nuts pulling legs of navvies
They are all dancing quirks and frizzling squidface
I am Nero, I am nerd, I like to fly like a booming bird
But hey see all ******** I am bamboozled in a brown pit
I am cheated, I am a cheat
I am timid, I browbeat
Let us go to certain half-deserted street
Kiss her kill her miss her mess her give Sue a treat
I am not fit.
I have heard bunkers singing
Weapons roar, F-16 kinking
Tattered cops and freaks swinging
Cows are mooing churchbells ringing.
Children laughing, couples blinking
Midsummer snow snowstars twinkling.
Churchbells ringing........................
Shanti Shanti Shanti.

Forcing One's Religious Beliefs On Others

Forcing One’s Religious Beliefs on Others

By Elton Camp

Some think the religion of the majority
Must be, for all, the highest priority
The chance that they would highly rate
Is to do it through the power of the state

To browbeat little children in the school
They would not think to be too cruel
Evangelical “Christians” are the worst
“Nonbelievers” they decree are accursed

“Now, you must do exactly as I say.
For I’ll teach you the right way to pray.”
“To my righteous beliefs you must kowtow
And you are going to do it here and now.”

Yet, Muslims these very ones will criticize
When religious beliefs they do politicize
“Give us religious freedom,” they will cry
But to force their own beliefs they will try

I think one is just as bad as is the other
To try to compel one to become a brother
To attempt to persuade others to one’s view
Is all that’s proper for anyone to try to do

People who their own righteousness proclaim
Are the ones that I find to be particularly lame
For the Supreme Court we should be very glad
They protect our liberty as they repel the bad

Old Love

All i notice are the shadows
Shadows of angelic beauty
Accompanied with strings
Of hyperbole and sticky
love? Who knows.

Oh! My lady call me somemore
And browbeat my furnace-like
Fury for yon might try thine
Let me dream the dream of
ancestors and perherps beyond

Im too young for this old love!
That it intoxicate me.

It Eats Me Alive, It Does!

It eats me alive, it does!

In this place

that does hold

Warm comforting

peace and serenity.

A time does arrive

bearing changes of attitude,

taking me to scary dimensions.

Where the intimidating

browbeat the thoughts

swirling in my free head.

Creating cloudiness, darkness.

I feel it now.

So cold, confused

and extremely agitated

wanting

To scream so loud.

Just take me away

from this place

carry me afar,

for I

Cannot stand it

anymore.

My heart asks,

“What is this experience”

My mind answers

“Well its cabin fever, and for you it shall pass”.

To Their Fellow Man

You can see their breath upon the air
As people bustle by without a care

The homeless don’t even get a single glance
No care for thier circumstance

your small change it means alot
to you the cost of a bottle of pop

to a person on the street
it will mean they will be able to eat

A simple greeting does not cost
some peoples souls need a good defrost

A roof above my head to sleep
A bed where i can fall asleep

and some food upon my plate to eat
and a friend who will not browbeat

A friendly face a little smile
and people who don’t judge my lifestyle

Being homeless is not a crime
yet people judge you all the time

my place of birth, the way I speak
does not make me some sort of freak

a helping hand and being kind
should define all mankind

designer suits don’t define a man
but the kindness shown in their lifespan

To their fellow man

Premium Member Chattering Voices

I pick up their idle chatter five days of the week.
Conversation with other passengers, I never seek
to learn of a secret one of them might privately leak.
But try as I might, I cannot help but overhear
a new recipe she tried, or the reason for his fear.
Sometimes, I wish I was deaf, at least in one ear!

I try reading my newspaper and ignore the prattle,
but often it's louder than the train car's rattle.
I'm not interested in the gossip of their tittle tattle.
At least the man with the cigar, smokes it outside,
or I'd take another tram. Cigar stench I can't abide.
I live in the burbs, so it's a long way home I ride.

Today, there's a young lady who wouldn't take a seat.
She looks worried, or at least somewhat browbeat,
like the people I work with down at Dun & Bradstreet.
I often wonder what's on the young conductor's mind.
Does he despise his job because he feels confined?
I'm off at the next stop, where I leave them all behind.

The family came and went
My emotional and physical pain stays lament
The burden of lies
Stays alive within family ties
The truth teller
Gets the raw deal from the home dweller
How can I get my life out of this cellar
Return to my innocence
The love I always have for those that sin
I feel like a garbage bin
Dump on me like a drunk arduous throwing away the gin
I take in a deep breath
Exhale in a way to feel no death
I’m here to stay
Love me...
Hate me...

I am amazed but not shocked at her lack of respect
For I have seen her browbeat her mother
She is ten.
