Premium Member The Night the Grinch Stole Our Muses

'Twas the night before Christmas and their pages were bare
Not one word could they write, not one verse to declare
The Grinch had snuck in, and in one fell swoop
Had stolen the muses from poets on the "Soup"!

It was the thing that all poets dread
As visions of emptiness swirled in their heads
No syllables floated to fill in the gap
Some poets decided their contest to scrap!

Then on the blog page there arose such a chatter
Poets rushed over to see what was the matter
The blogger's avatar was just a red sash
She said she could get back the muses, for a large sum of cash

Many of the poets thought this was a trick
It was just a scheme to make money real quick
But in the blink of an eye another blogger came
He said that St. Nicholas was his real name!

Now Heidi, now Anne-Lise, now Andrea and Jan
They told us that St. Nicholas had a plan
To the realm of the Grinch where green snowflakes fall
St Nicholas would go and retrieve the muses for all!

In no time at all he took to the sky
And to the realm of the Grinch on his sleigh he did fly
As the Grinch lay sleeping the muses he withdrew
And to the Soup, again he flew

He delivered the muses to all the poets around
Poets started writing their words did abound
They wrote of angels and bright stars, and things that uplift
St. Nick had given them the muse as their gift

Then St. Nick called for all his reindeer
And soon he took off and flew out of there
But they heard him say, before he left the site
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good write!!

Eating Crow With New Collaborations

No matter how some complain and bellow
they are exposed, each a trolling fellow
I'd look them in the eye
for telling one more lie
but I heard they're too busy eating crow
                            by Jenna Logan

Their "platforms" anchored, tightly tethered
Their statements all "if, ands, and whethers"
While blowing their horns
And spitting out thorns
From mouths full of fluffy crow feathers
                            by John Lawless

Cruel comments, sure catch one's eye
Demeaning, vindictive, but sly
Trolls aim to debase
And leave a bad taste
Perhaps they should eat humble pie
                              by Jan Allison

Some people just won't admit when they're wrong
Like to spin yarns and then string you along
But without any doubt
They are always caught out
Then feast on the first crow that comes along
                                 by Tom Cunningham

Will he choke while eating crow
A feeble mind he does show
He messed in the blog
When he slopped his hog
His words are wind and they blow
                            by Mark Koplin

Your posts pretend to blow off steam
but your words are so very mean
time to eat some crow
maybe time to go
Your vile blogs make me want to scream
                                by Tania Kitchin

So many people are really just a fake
It's just who they are, dear lord, for heaven's sake
I just want them all to know
I'd fill their mouths with crow
And feed them as much as their fat cheeks can take
                                 by Charlie Messina

A taste of revenge for the blogger
Whose intention is to cause bother
It's made perfectly clear
Folly falls on deaf ears
So fool, go eat crow for some fodder
                           by Belle Bellevue

She Ll Be Right

SHE’LL BE RIGHT

In the merry old land of Oz*
They’ve the secret of happiness ‘cos
They’ve a theorem for plight
Makes them soar like a kite
It’s this motto - SHE’LL BE RIGHT!

King Henry at Agincourt Field
Had a talent with words he would wield
Might still inspire fight
Make his army ignite
With this one liner - Mates SHE’LL BE RIGHT!

Were Churchill from Wagga Wagga **
He’d have written it as a blogger
Blood and tears day and night
Facing Germany’s might
With - ‘No worries! SHE’LL BE RIGHT!’

Should there be a border breach
With a fight on Bondi Beach
Though an awful sight
And we’ve barbi tonight. ***
Just remember - SHE’LL BE RIGHT!

Despite peril and confusion
Don’t crack brains with irresolution
Master clear, and then cite
This affirmative bright
The sure postulate - SHE’LL BE RIGHT!

* Oz = Australia

*** barbi = barbecue

Dear Best Friend,
How have you been?
I hope you're doing fine.
Haven't heard from you since.

I've been going down
That ol' memory lane.
Thinking about how
All of it began.

No. Neither to our friendship,
Nor to our spot-tree.
But to the knife,
That you used to stab me.

Pushing me down
Was your dire necessity.
To cover your own flaws,
Draw curtains over insecurity.

You mocked at my condition,
My diligence, my tireless run.
Spread your venom of lies
Filled the ears of my loved ones.

Naïve as I was,
I befriended you in every phase.
Unaware of the dark vile,
That hid behind your white face.

While I pulled you out of
The vicious death well,
You pushed me down the same.
Reciprocated so well!

You feigned guilty face,
Every time you were in need.
But band aids don't fix bullet holes
Here's a rant of your deed.

RAP verse

You talk that talk behind my back
I dare you now, look into my eyes
Now speak again, lemme hear you splash
Can't speak a word? Ran out of lies?
Or is it your dumb inferiority
Matching up to your insecurity
Imma let you speak, but you're empty
Better yet than your fake charity
Now listen up douche, hold yourself back
Get your issues towed up in a line
Did you lose the count? Couldn't even start?
My dear best friend now pay the fine.

So here's to burst your bubbles

You pulled the rug out beneath my feet
Thinking that I might fall.
Let me tell you, though unsuspecting,
I jumped before your call.

So goodbye.
Fare well.
Wish you all the luck.
And to your future victims too.

Regards!

Your non-victimized best friend

y'all know me- I'm in the poem biz
and it is a no brainer when I need a fix(I come to the main drag)of
       this poetry site

this my security blanket my safe harbor my home away from home
it has taken me years to learn the
set up(its a long way to poet)gonna take a journey

listen I don't consider my poems hot stuff
nor do I have hang ups but the bare bones is this
I go bananas for contests I won't bamboozle you
I just wanna win (win and win)

but getting a poem selected is an uncertain crapshoot
     its a tricky business
            when the theme is announced
I need to give it a good think (think)

and sometimes I write a lemon (a real stinker)
oh when I lose(so blue)oh so near when I win bees knees happy

sometimes I put on my war paint and make my way
to the shooting gallery (I mean the blogs)
don't wanna open a can of worms but
a poet needs guts to make a comment there

oh yessiree your words can be turned to smoke
sometimes its all snoggling and sometimes its just aggro
the blogger asks for an opinion then the fun begins
get out the boom box say what talk to the hand

bring me the funny wagon gotta get outa there
before I go nuts gotta chill out take my peepers to a poem
like it when its mellow yellow in blog world

y'all know me- I'm in the poem biz

Welcome to the internet,
Where basic freedoms are embedded into the hard drives.
Where the memes help you through life.
Where Socially Awkward Penguin holds the door open too long, while Socially Awesome Penguin opens it for a lovely girl.
Where Scumbag Steve shows us the scumbag in all of us, and Good Guy Greg shows us our goodness.
The memes may describe the human actions, but not always the human thoughts.

Wordpress and blogger anger people, yet pushes them to protest.
Twitter, allowing little snippets from your brain escape, all in 140 characters or less of course.
Friendster, the hipsters’ domain of range.
Facebook being fought over by teenagers and adults since 2005.
YouTube, the keeper of memories, keeper of pain, keeper of anger, keeper of happiness, keeper of love.
Vevo, the music video enthusiasts’ devil, and God.
Welcome to the internet, It’s just a world fashioned by 0’s and 1’s that seems too real...

Thoughts From the Mind of a Blogger

It was a chilly morning in paradise...

Autumn was already here...

A time for strange things to happen, as it is that time of year...

She was up most of the night, doing a write....

Regarding some hubs and her series titled "Legend of Fred "

Ahh the questions she had... rolling around in her head..

Were “where were her readers, her followers “ her Hubbers...?

They had all seemed to like what she wrote in the past..

But lately her hubs were falling so fast....

She had written articles on health and life..

perhaps she had targeted too much strife...

Maybe they wanted to read about food..

But when you're not a cook, that would be kinda rude..

Oh, will wonders never cease ?

So she decided she'd get some zzzzz's

She lay in her bed, not moving at all...

but breathing quite deeply, as I saw the covers fall...

So I stretched my muscles and walked ever so slow..

So as not to wake her , then I spied her big toe..

Sticking out from the blanket..it was such a temptation..

And with me having such a" foot fixation".. however...

She needed the rest , so she can finish her quest..

I have some thoughts of my own...

that I would like to share in a poem..

And I would be happy to help her.. but..

I don’t think the world is ready for me...

as I am a BLOGGING CAT.. you see

So I will close for now...everyone have a great week...as

I'm off to seek something that has a tweak and a squeak..

ORIGINAL LYRICS BY BOBBY DAY (ROCKIN' ROBIN)

A Better World

When I was 16 years old, I walked into the English class on the first day of school of a new year. I’d been waiting through the long hours of Economics, of Chemistry, of Physics  to get to English class, the subject I loved most.

My teacher stood in front of us and explained that we’ll be studying the theme "Coming of Age" – the transition from childhood to adulthood. We were going to read many different novels that tell this story in diverse ways, and as we read, we’ll discover the universal themes across diverse accounts of this rite of passage.”

Then he told us about the books we were going to read – Lord of the Flies, Black Boy, A Separate Peace… I noticed something odd: none were written by women and none were about a girl coming of age. I knew it wasn’t right for a classroom of girls and boys to only read stories about boys.

But what was most remarkable about that day was this: I felt a strange surge of energy. It wasn’t anger – it was more like momentum, vitality, passion. It came with a feeling of “I’m going to do something about this.”

At the time, I was a little lost – in teenage rebellion, in hating my body, in being bored with high school. Suddenly, I wasn’t bored, or lost or hating. I was excited about something. I was working toward something.

Years later I turned out to be a biology teacher even without attending any teaching school or training.
And used the opportunity to enlighten lots of female students on maturity (the transition from childhood to adolescense and to adulthood) and several female related issues that wasn't in any textbook nor in the curriculum.

Today I might not be a very rich man but I am a fulfilled man. I am fulfilled because I know deep down that I have made an impact in the lives of several females out there.

So whatever is that drive, that burning passion inside of you, that push to make a positive difference, to contribute to humanity, I just want to tell you "don't give up on it. It's only a matter of time"

Together if we all put in our little effort, we can make a huge difference.
So whatever field u find yourself, be it entertainment, music, acting, poem writing, YouTuber, blogger, teacher, student or parents, let's all join hands to make the world a better place. All it takes is for you to use your field to make positive impacts.

transfigure
verb.
transform into something more beautiful or elevated.

ascension
"Spiritual Ascension is the expansion of consciousness. It could also go by other names such as Spiritual Awakening or Enlightenment. This process doesn’t happen all at once. Instead it is a constant layering to give you the chance to adjust to the energy requirements of the different frequencies. As you ascend you realize that everything that exists is somehow interconnected to the whole.

Through this Spiritual Ascension process, your energy and vibration is becoming lighter, your consciousness is expanding and your thoughts, and beliefs about life are taking on a new meaning. Your emotions, and those of others, become understood from a deeper level and you go through life with more ease and joy.

But this adjustment can be uncomfortable and cause “ascension symptoms” as a result of holding on to limitations and resistance. For the highly sensitive individual, the ascension process can be a bit more challenging as emotional trauma, that became stuck in their energy field, comes up for clearing. This clearing may slow you down as it works through the density created within you, but it is a very important process because it allows space for higher consciousness light to enter."

It might take a few hours for the changes to show up, but now the blogs
