Kneeling on pearls
wisdom preys

praying
preying

hungry hearts
count the days

wasting away
in all that preying

for prayers
to be answered

children become
strangers

reading
strange words

finding
themselves puzzled

genuflecting to a deity
they do not know, nor wish to

fumbling
mouths closed,

swallowed hole
in the mouth of a black whale

hidden deep
within an obtuse family

voices...

Your Room
Behind your earlobe there was a birthmark that had the shape of palestine
But they taught you in there that it was called israel
In the hearth of your chest lied a heart full of vitriol
Out of your choice they altered your pulse, degraded your...

POLITICALLY RELIGIOUS PUNDITRY

and as the tide of mindless babble receded
whispering through the foaming bubbles,
giggling in the lather of their lies, smoothing
the unsuspecting edges of the irate populace
with the blandly pathetic pablum on which
they subsist, a rogue wave broke upon the
barren beach, tore the moorings...

To My Former Best Friend
We laughed so many times
Without even reason
You hugged me when I cried
Blandly called it “rainy season”
We were the closest friends
We might be together
Eternity has found it ends
We could deal with the weather
With the weather in our friendship
With the weather in our attention to each other
We...

Cynthia
Oh the places we won't go,
like post dated postcards
with fictional photographs of you and I
laughing lovers caught up in this
moment
now mourn this trysts annulment
The fading hue of I to you
crashing closer to memory
are the full blown passion ploys
and blissful near misses
...the only places I may...

Betryayed
i'd just been declared surplus to requirements by my boss
with bloodshot eyes i plodded home completely at a loss
oblivious of my ex-secretary's commiserations
mum's late stage cancer portended impending tribulation
what bruised my heart was my boss' betrayal
his reward for my being unflinchingly loyal
my mind raced to...

Remember Me
What do you remember when you look at me?
 Can you even say, objectively?
 I'm sure it's not a symphony.
A tranquil sea, or being free.
I probably remind you more of anarchy... Of villainy...
My memories consists of acidity, with a touch...

An Old Dust Bunny Poem That Fits Into the Current Equation
you are beautiful to me because you are here
you are beautiful to me because you accept and love
you are beautiful to me because you see me with clear vision
you are beautiful to me because you find the patience to beautify my flaws
you are beautiful to...

“The Seance”

It was macabre you see,
we were all summoned,
and therefore found ourselves
in the front parlour of Ballylee;

In our dreams
we thought we were poets
of fabulous notoreity,
the head ghoul set us straight on that.

The planchette was placed just so
below all underlings’ fingers gathered lightly sat,
while...

Free Association Comprises Ratiocination
Free association comprises ratiocination...

Bonafide catatonic doggedness,
nevertheless this stubborn stoic poet writ
afore and another feeble effort courtesy
exhaustive mental effort
he brewed den - brought about divine visit
analogously to solve mystery pinpointing
within suspense unveiling whodunnit.

Whereat your true

admittedly drastically did decline

Theater of Utter Charm Part 24
what do you need to be told
to make you capable of pragmatic liberation
which could be the foundation to a new
assessment of the inevitable

while humanity puts its hope in youth
you just have...
