Lo' beneigh' the random bield, bewails upo' the leaf
An' lea'e me naught but grief and pain, as moone breaks through the heath
Upo' the gilded braes we kissed, luve sang a zephyrs cry
Where say, my luve, o' fare thee weel, till a' the seas gang dry

An' bleak October winds ensue, beneigh' the furrow's frost
The sacred lowe, o' week-plac'd love...o' lost my sweet betroth
Yea withered ere', lies mist and bleak, an' mine an empty hand
With sword in hand, yea wander'd far, monie a ravished land

Och! Fated arrow pierced my heart, cauld by thy warrior's blade
Thy sun has waned, the bluid has poured, so boldly o're the glade
Death oftly feared, tho fear naugt more, so deep within my breast
O' do thou kindly, lie him low, upo' this mound of rest

Whase only faut was lovin thee, my tears in dust, my luve is deeply laid
Immortal I lie down 'ere now, lockt in thy arms, upo' the gilded glade

Quantum Wave Extended

In your mind
I see a passing
Wave –

On a
different frequency
to mine –

If only you and I
could surf the same

On silky waters
Crest and trough in
Time –

The resonance that
Vibrates for us both

Is oh so tantalizing and
so close –

If only we could make
a quantum shift

And let uncertain
Hearts together
drift!

In my mind
I see what I can
Save-

A Quantum
of our senses
caught in time-

If you and I
in moments
could remain

Potential seeking
souls that shrill
sublime-

Reverberate and strike
a perfect note

Resounding in this
Universe of both-

With Energies of will that
 quantum sift

Through certainties
in hearts a cherished
gift

In other worlds
I see how we
Behave-

Two particles
in congress
so divine-

If only you and I
begin to crave

And dance in unison
while in our prime-

If reason for each other
we betroth

Two shifting Quantum
hearts that we behold-

A Universe resounding
with our song

A Universe in
which we both
belong !

In our minds
I see a passing
Wave –

On a
frequency
that is sublime –

And you and I
can only
surf the same

On silky waters
Crest and trough in
Time –

The resonance that
Vibrates for us both

Is oh so tantalizing and
so close –

And only we can make
this quantum shift

And let our certain
Hearts together
drift!

Your Wedding Photo

I never wanted to write about you a man from my past
From so many life's ago I felt our love would last
I was so young and weak from your trance
Little did I know that it was just part of your dance

Today, you posted a picture of your wedding years ago
Told of how deep your love was for the one that you betroth
Sweet and sappy drippings of a romance so true
Little did they know how you had always dated two

I gave you all four years of my college life
Believed in all your statements about being your wife
Never had an inkling that you had strung me along
Believing in the tryst of lies you had sung to me in song

Described how for 37 years she's been your best friend
Our college years together in 83' did end
So with my calculations your relationship began
In '78 before we met, so now I understand

For four years I believed that I'd become your wife
Instead you were courting two and living a double life
I'm so grateful that I never married you to this day
For a marriage built upon a lie, you would always stray

I hope that all the girls in college today will listen up!
Don't waste time on men in school education is a must
Men will come and go like water through a sieve
Count only on yourself and what you have to give

I dodged a bullet with this scoundrel, went on to finer things
I am forever grateful he no longer pulls my strings.

Spell Us Both

Betroth her to me,
If she will never stop amazing my spirit.
Bring her to me,
If she will never stop beautifying my heart.
Hand her to me,
If she will never stop spoiling me with love.
Entrust her to me,
If she will never stop till she fight my war.
Leave her to me,
If she will never wish for my death before the hour.
Send her to me,
Let our hands lock in wed.
Send her to me,
Let our oneness soul united.

A Bondage To Work

Work, work, work,
bare back down,
across the boardwalk,
to the bone, I walk,
which brings These days
of slavery, but now BeHeads,
my flesh, to survive,
Countless nights,
no sleep, To rest my eyelids, or head,
though It's kept me from, lack
Of retirement, I no Beg, No More,
Touching, doors, to my,
peaceful home,Tis thee way,
of pride, I betroth Of supporting,
beloved ones, who Await my
Return, for them, I do
because there's Nothing more,
I'd like to see, than A smile, or
A warm greeting, home, as
my wife, stands beside me,
Where Children play, I catch
Width,Hand out,and arms extended,
Waiting, For their hugs with A smile,
HURRAY Daddy's Home, at last I say,
Another day, Bites the dust,
back to work tomorrows, I go,
Paying mortgage to its bitter end,
As my obligation, I have A bondage,
To work, I pray my lord, protects, with
Constant blessings, for he is the guidance,
That holds it altogether...

Premium Member Bonding With Bond

What man would welcome the bonds of mortgage,
Drown in a long drink of boredom each night?
For celluloid loves we’d gladly forage,
Evil and despair we’d gallantly fight.
Childhood dreams put in permanent storage,
Follow villains into cowardly flight.
A life ordinary needs no courage,
Unlike courting harm to put the world right.

What woman would so crave stability,
She’d aspire to be a coupon maven,
Betroth herself to tame maternity,
For a rut no makeup can enliven,
Spurn the kiss of dapper virility,
Pass each tinselled day ever more craven?
A whole world resigned to mortality,
Thus chases life with double-o-seven.

These Moors

Creeping through the the moors of this castle,
the ghosts of my past lingers and haunts me.
These damp walls that has imprisoned me has the
bloodstained tears I have given and it seeps through it's
      old cracked cobblestones.
My once beautiful flowing silk gown is now tattered and torn.
The tears that has streaked my face, has soaked my long
     auburn hair to my skin.
My porcelain skin has not seen the sun peeking through my
stain glass windows in the past coming dawns.
My betroth has left this world and no longer return to me
    in human form.
"Oh my beloved, should I dare come join you, My soul is empty
with out you beside me?" As I ponder the thought looking over
           this sea cliff.
So as I walk back through these moors alone with a sorrowful
    heavy heart,
I can feel your ghostly presence gliding next to me weeping in sync as I.

Old Houses of Charlottenburg

betroth yourselves
to old houses of Charlottenburg
let yourselves be mollycoddled
by the petrified rain king
buy yourselves a shiny armour
of a former seraphim
call yourselves bourgeois,
dear ambassadors of art

prosy playwriters
live futile lives
full of futile effort

we are the revenants of heedlessness
the masses of plastic limpidness
and cubists that paint no more
like vortex and vertigo
we're abstract in a colour gamut
but I only like to whisper
among the lilies of rusty minefields
replacing the city with simplicity

Sweet Symphony

His love shivers, down my
spine, driven as the pure white
snow,
I touch, endless road,
gravitating, structure, begins
balance, that Eline'd earths
natural core to betroth him,
deep with in the atmosphere,
composing sweet symphony,
beats long to console A vivid
heart, endlessly sing...to Never
skip, nor scratch, yearning,
ones last ride, up the slope,
climb mountain, where I will
never let go, of moon-lights
past, nor his generous love, to
shine, through entwined, souls
era...

Karen

This was for keeps for all we knew
so far away so long ago
I really fell in love with you
before you played the second show

White lace and grace and promises
Beguile? Belong? Betroth? Beseech?
it's best to do what momma says
so very close so out of reach

The moment when the slight girl sings
that lovely voice like scented smoke
like chocolate and cello strings
like molten gold or burnished oak

I know I've wasted too much time
the one thing that's in short supply
there'll never be another rhyme
and stars won't fall down from the sky

I tell myself I'm feeling old
there's nothing I can do about it
and what I've garnered unconsoled
of love is how to live without it

Why must our loved ones disappear?
Oh won't you say what laid you low?
I know that you're not really here
it's just that worn-out radio

All that I have
Have that I all
Nothing matter more than you O Lord
If I have it to give, to give I will
All that you allow me instill
Oh, so grace is your glory
Oh, how wonderful you have betroth me
You’ve given me forgiveness and unmerited grace
So not worthy am I

All the money in this world
All rubies, diamonds material things and gold
Mean nothing to me
All I want all I need is thee

Oh, so grace is your glory
Oh, how wonderful you have betroth me
You’ve given me forgiveness and unmerited grace
Only in peace do I want to see your face

I thank you for giving, allowing me to live in this time and place

Oh, so grace is your glory
Oh, how wonderful you have betroth me
You’ve given me forgiveness and unmerited grace
Only in peace do I want to see your face

Thank you Father God for you’re the only one whom grants me favor and grace
When it comes to my time to live in the kingdom, I pray you’ll allow me to see you in peace
I pray you allow me to stay with you
I pray you allow me to live with you

By the By

By-the-by ‘though come what may,
And merely flew those words astray,
Here and now ‘tis limp to I,
While your fervour is sooner wry.

Thou naïve still dote a ream,
So, birds quarrel about the stream,
Thus, in fine rely to loathe,
And defy no hint of betroth.

Does a cherub speak ones name,
Aside the courter but in vain,
Yes, me a bullion stone,
To bare foible within your bone.

Hush, this notion so inane,
It ought not be of your pertain,
Be it Sabbath for dim eyes,
Then yearn for moonlight at sunrise.

Sacred Romance

Sweet Ancient of Days,
Come to me wearing any disguise:
thorny rose
soft-footed snow
mournful wind
or rain tippity-tapping my window pane.

Romance me, though all around me prove false
though mountains shake
and the hills be removed—-romance me then, or not at all.

I will learn to love the snow because of you
learn to pick out the disparate notes of your serenaded love
in melancholy music,
in the fresh smell of cotton dresses steam ironed
in the remembrance of my father’s laughter ( though now its merry swirl is lost to me.)

Wear wood smoke as your cologne
and autumn’s vulgarity of colors as bold contrast to my drab little self.
Like a blind woman whose fingertips have grown accustomed to Braille,
to the unique texture of things, I will caress the barks of trees
the familiar landscape of knee scabs;

will tremble with desire
to be the warp and woof of your weaver’s loom,
my self woven (bones, hair and all) into a gorgeous tapestry,
another kind of tapestry than what I dreamed I could be.

Ancient of Days,

my dreams are too big for me;
my child’s hands fumble them clumsily
even as I blink back tears at my ineptness, my lack of grace.

I turn at the slightest rustling sound
my ears keen for your approach.
Oh! I love you so,
I betroth myself to you
to your light in my baby brother’s eyes,
and to the sound of your lullaby meant just for me
in the sighing of falling embers
and in sun drenched streets I dare not explore without you.

Sweet Ancient of Days:
tarry with me one more hour
linger near while mother frowns over the stove
and the step-dad smirks at my stupidity;
stay lest my soul wither away
and I lose myself for want of you.
Stay.
