Best Begone Poems
I don't know what I am
Waiting for, on this chair,
Near you, and with a book in my hand.
Silence occupied, you on your work
But what am I waiting for
Near you?
Blank in the mind,
But calm just to be here.
Don't know what drags me
Near to you, though we are
Not meant for each other.
I don't know what I am
Yarning for, staying still and peeking
At you, as you are not something
I could have, and I am left
With an option to go
With the flow
I don't know why am I sitting
Here, nothing to talk about as if
The talkings are done through our hearts,
And eyes glaring to each other with
So many unspoken words.

Like squeezing and gripping
a handful of sand
Your love dropped through
the crevices unrhymed
Defining our feelings
with each orphaned word
Lost in the random

Winter Begone: Ode to the Squirrely
I found myself outside braveing Winter's bleak
Snow lay deep upon the ground--long past a week--
As more flakes christened life on this frozen creek
I saw him standing quite still, puzzled and meek
He wore a nice fur coat with snow on his crown
A powder of new flakes not yet on the ground
With a shake of his coat--one last look around
Up a tree he climbed and then looked back down
There high and aloft with no ifs ands or buts
I heard him quite clearly yell back, '"Winter Sucks!"'
But what he said next pulled my drolls from their ruts:
'"It's gonna take 'till July to thaw out my nuts!"'

Verse
Does it come in a box
Is it something to hang on a tree
I am still waiting for this gift of Love to come to me
They say it exists
I can see that it's there
Others have found it
Why has it not blessed me
I was given many a fake
They were only on the take
For goodness sake
Leave our day be
You are history.......

Blank verse
Oh Winter, with your icy heart
Your cold beauty sets you apart
But time to ease your steely grip
Soon springtime's turn must start
Oh Winter, your fires burning low
New life stirring in the earth below
Bide your time until next year
Hearts long for springtime's glow
Oh Winter, we keep our love for you
But long for skies of blissful blue
We need to know the seasons turn
And the earth once more is born anew

You made an attempt to bamboozle me with well thought out charms
But I still struggle internally from the last charmer I once held in my arms
My inner soul continues to burn and the flame tortures me still
From the last abomination who tried to bend me of my free will.
If you push me into a relationship when I'm not ready to bloom
You will hear the wrath of my scorn as I run screaming from the room
Instead cherish me and let me follow you one baby step at a time
Only then will I relax enough to give our bond a chance to become sublime.
Show me your tender side for that will win me over more than know
I just may develop a taste for you that will set your face aglow
Before long I may be the one yearning to spend more time with you
Then behold the affection and passion that will most definitely ensue.

~~~~ Winter Begone !! ~~~~
Oh, look, the wind is blowing
and once again it's snowing,
I haven't felt warm since November
and clear skies, I don't even remember.
Enough is enough, go away !!
Winter, you've had your say
but I'm sick of you now,
take a final bow
and get out of my life right away.
I long for the warmth of Spring
and the beauty that season brings.
Flowers and birds, clear skies above,
my favourite season, the one that I love.
p.ussywillows, crocuses and more
will gather outside of my door.
Winter, please begone !!
You've been here way too long
and I detest you to my very core.
Oh promiscuous, thy ambiguity has baffled me;
The thunderous cacophony of thy dreams
Has awoken me and rendered my nights sleepless,
For thou has to conquer the battle thou started thyself.
No, do not try to fathom my life into thy promiscuity
I shall neither be thy prey, nor thy mistress;
Thou hath played enough games
And won each and every one of them,
Why, oh why then play
with my holiness and pious generosity?
I forbid thee to behold me with thine eyes
Monstrous creature thou, now begone!
The First Lady Of Dark Woe-Begone
Aisha was the first Lady of Woe-Begone
So greedy for her light to be shone
Never afraid to go it so very alone
Words sung often with a saddened tone
Sweet conceit and vanity in her pose
Praise her to satisfy her lustful life
Never dare take her for a loving wife
Invite not such misery and hateful strife
Rejoice in the fact another girl you chose
Aisha was the first Lady of Never-Do-Well
Dark secrets hid that she never will tell
Never afraid to bang hard that misery bell
After she has her victim wrapped in a spell
Evil doings in her intrigues and daily deeds
She invites to pleasure her greatest joy
Vicously uses as her playful little toy
Plays with her darling little lover boy
Sows sweetly in her devilish slavery seeds
A
thorn you
are in my
side; contempt for
you I must struggle
to hide; my confidence
in you will not abide; you
confer with my foes like the in
and outgoing tide; though, I wish you
well as long as your distance becomes wide.
Old man winter hear my plea.
Your ice cold breath chills me so.
Oh, how my blood runs ice cold.
My fingers and toes are never warm.
A story, a legend or a myth,
Shadow or not - winter begone.
Ok, technically winter just begun.
Dreaming of the first sign of spring.
Feeling the renewal in your heart.
Breathing energy filled with warmth.
As you breathe, feel the inner flow.
Spring is the season of rebirth.
Flowers pop-up their heads,
And trees begin their leaf.
Old man winter begone.
In my mind I imagine it's so.
Verse
Every so often he calls my name
Can you hear me, he says
Look at you, you fool
You are not worthy of life
You are a disgrace, boy
The way you talk to others so sweetly
The way that you walk...
With that permanent smile...
On that sorry looking face of yours
The things that you say and do
Who are you, some kind of god...he says
How dare you welcome them into a life so dull and flavorless
Step aside boy, he says
I will take them with me
I will take them to a place that will forever warm their hearts
Forever...till eternity
To hell
Begone, you imp, I say to him
Begone, you flaming fool
You see...
your voice isn't the only one that calls my name
Look up, do you see him...I say
It is his voice that I hear over yours each day
So begone, leave...you are not welcome inside my head
As I was being born, B, you took your first breath
Bringing me benevolence in the struggle to believe
The truth that my mother’s breast would feed me
With blisses I had never imagined before breathing
Soon, your brilliant wonders were boosting my ideas
With hopes for the bright lights to warm a broken heart
Inspire my budding blooms to rise to the surface of filth
That burned with botanical dreams which the rain baths
Whispering grace into the face of breathless poetic ideas
Birds in hues of azure and butterscotch fondling bosoms
With songs both bountiful and blessed by the beauty
Bared through beginnings both brave and blemished
Butterflies murmur of ideas so breathtaking and bewildering
As they dance, boasting of all their brilliance, beckoning
For moments of purity and blossoming delights, insights
Discovered in the brush of wings, touching gently – b’s
Bees caress the blossoms with their bare wings diving down
Circling at breakneck speeds, whizzing across enemy borders
With essences of honesty so shrewd, bitterness melts away
And brand-new beeswax is breached, breaking through thoughts
Buttercups awake to sing to blue skies of the rains
Who will be welcomed to blame weaknesses on yesterday
When battlefields and boulevards were booming
Breaking hearts and homes with brave thoughts
Needless to say, B, you’ve been the breath of fresh air
That has brought bold brothers to believe in each other
Painted the brokenness with blazing bright undertones
Breathes of serenity unfolding to bring bright blessings
B, you’ve been a true and faithful friend to me who believes
In your bright, breaking brilliance rising across blue skies
And leaving the beating of a bemused, bloodthirsty believer
To bring hearts the encouragement needed to their beloved
Now, B, begone!
