Like an interrupted dream
shadows of the one
who inspired it
linger like morning dew.

No aroma and no taste,
yet I'm left breathless,
as thoughts reminisce.
I listen to this tired heart,
as one deep breath results
in a thousand sighs and
I don't want to be found,
but yearn to understand
why I feel like a million
crumpled stars, silently
sprinkled like paint drops
protecting the moon,
feeling like glue holding
the universe together

and who am I to disturb it?

Her beauty was a merited gift.
Her departure unnecessary.
Her lips without speaking
could rewrite history
and I wonder
can she hear these sighs?

Her call is the one I want
to answer for eternity.
To speak until no words remain.
Give until there is nothing -
submitting to her submission
is life's greatest victory.

Twilight aurora,
night flower of this heart,
you shine in emerald velvet
hues in shades of scarlet.
Like a rainbow, your presence
brightened the horizons.
but just like the stars you
disappeared with daylight -
your absence leaving
behind blackness.

Aurora Spills

"Aurora Spills"

Aurora spills like a waterfall
light from the eyes
saltwater tears
crocodilian
scaled in the weight of worth
a drop in the ocean of fate
breaks the seaweed fields of stories
they wave her in
rippling time away
fingertips dance mesmerising
the stinging strangers
wrapped around her legs
treading water in deep
infested notions
the coolness of
irreverent nonchalance
romantic or not
pulls her under covers
like warm blankets
heavy comfort
calls the broken
floating towards
the shabby matrix
new gates of life open
mirrors crack like eggs
the vision reflects
both light and dark
demon and saint
their remnants
embers, still
in the coldness
of prickly gloaming
like glow worm glen
fireflies red and glowing
sparks ignite
a rapturous bushfire
from cinders
billy tea leaves overturned
empty cups read
the yolk of a heart
never lies
fried casually
by the over easy
in shallow pans
of poetry
under microscopes
of blithe mordant critique
minute shards of gold
are slowly sifted
from the flotsam dross
some wisdom found
in the muddy fertile mind
shooting up
from 6ft underground
like small green plants
growing under rocks
with centipedes and
the petulant poison of spiders
in pink reflection
insurgence blooms
war never waits
silently the Pandoras smile
understanding all and nothing
of a small life distended,
swelling love
for that which was stolen
where bursting broken blue weeds
undo frozen jewels
diamonds sharp for the cutting
shiny words spells of insanity
delicious moments
melting time swallowed
spoken without voice
listening to ghosts
scratching through walls
where life floods
from glass boxes
coffins of buried treasure
banished
kaleidoscope colours
overgrowing

And the hoary frost of heaven
Who hath gendered it
The waters are hid as with a stone
And the face of the deep is frozen”

Night of Aurora

Dance of Life -
Night of Aurora before the midnight sun,
Before the polar threshold of the daystar,
As Aurora’s swirling spirals flicker
In winsome purple-green electric flashes,
Dappled spectral neon scarves
From nighttide’s celestial dust,

Dance of barefoot soul bewitched -
Arrayed in fiery folds of scarlet-red
Leaps from star to star
When snow buntings chant
Artic serenades with her melody
As silence falls in silver solitude
Of flashing silent symphonies
Across philharmonic fantasies –

Dance of the artic
Beauty in diaphanous neon,
Ephemeral bursts of celestial streamers
Surge from astral pavilions,
Splash in sheer waves of gossamer mauve,
When lavender prisms pirouette
In charged rhapsodies over the fair isles
With sweeping pirouettes

Dance of the ancestors –
Ethereal ribbon dance in cascading rainbows
To tell tidings of sonorous harmony
From those released past the limits of the sky
They wear kaleidoscopes of happy hues
While Aurora dances a tarantella to say
She rejoices too.

She danced across the heavens
 Whirling and twirling in delight
She slid up and down creating images
With delight she colored the sky
She made no sound as she moved
  She sculpted as she danced
 Unique patterns unfolded
  the heavens became her canvas
  colors became more vibrant
Her colors changed with each breath
She danced merrily for hours on end
Until the final curtain was drawn
With the up coming dawn.

While duskfall pierces minted morning air
Adorning trees with gracious loveliness:
Sunlight braids pinkish ribbons in her hair,
Indulgent as a reticent caress.

How Aurora is but a breath away,
While embroidered leaves flutter in the sun--
So crystalline- white is their mellow play
Where all godly wishes of hope are spun.

I wonder if such charms are a worldly dream
Linked to just one immense eternity
A lucent decoration on  rails of stream;
Captured in the glow of day's tapestry?

I know not, yet my benign spirits rise
So I lift my heart to feel sweet dawn's first kiss...
Responding to the glaze before my eyes
For all seems right on mornings such as this.

The Aurora Illusion

We have our differences in the shadows,
yet, act so different in the light.
Crimson shadows dance
within our dull routines.

With the moon beneath my wings,
I drink softly from the bottle.
I rehearsed this kiss a thousand times,
as archaic bridges emerge from the fog.

Come softly, butterfly...
Land upon my crooked finger.
The ebb and flow of I don't know
refills my unsure mind.

The aurora illusion,
novels of my life slowly written with light
as green and blue balloons float
away to the moon.

Remember
that fresh smell
of coffee
mixing with
the salt of
the sea?

A table for two
on the beach,
a starlit sky,
the distant whale cry.
Holding hands, a sip and a sigh.

Burning bonds and bridges,
is just another thought to dole.
I should have told you that I loved you,
instead, I've these tattooed regrets on my soul.

Silent sighs hide inside breath clouds
exhaled into sentimental air
as brisk winds summon twilight,
tinting innocent horizons.

Oxygen dances with atmospheric particles
creating a plethora of chemical reactions.
Enchantment illuminates in flashes of
colourful magnificence.

Celeste sapphire hints indulge
through violet shades of lavender hues.
Streaks of scarlet crimson petals
flow among coral flamingo shades
as golden streaks swim through
emerald crystallised skies,
seeking sanctuary within the realms
of infatuated devotion.

and that was the first time I saw her eyes
her perfect gift to the world.

a quiescent wind

     heralds the goddess of dawn

         ruffles her green gown

               spontaneously

     mesmerised by break of day

           dizzy snow rolls free

An Aurora Alouette - Rain Dogs

AN AURORA ALOUETTE - RAIN DOGS

the morning dewdrops
the sap on the trees
the wind blowing pleasingly
a stroll I will take
a joyous promenade
with my umbrella and cane.

rain oh rain will show
dawn is to enjoy.
gloomy not, away I go
pouring cats and dogs.
glumly aurora
dulcetly I sing “Rain Dogs.”

Far From Where Aurora Sleeps

Every night

my soul climbs to a star

in seek for your eyes

in search for your lips

As I think of you secretly

between my subconscious

and a dream

Every night

my arms embrace your absence

with fervescent seduction

and infinite longing

But tomorrow

Tomorrow there'll be no other night

Tomorrow I leave behind

the tender of my words

upon your heartbeat

Tomorrow,the lines beneath your cheek

wouldn't echo in my ear

the sound of our laughter

Tomorrow,each footstep forward

in a cold puddle, makes me wonder

How long would this Winter last

How long till icicles melt

Tomorrow, I unfurl my sail

and the wind will blow

Tomorrow,the wind will blow

far from where aurora sleeps

in our awakening in Venice

and the scented love of Florence

TWILIGHT'S AURORA

From the yawning west horizon stretch,
orange to red streaks painting the blue skies
Fleeting dragonflies flirt with the swaying breeze
as so the dives and glides from flock of starlings

Billowy to feather clouds unite
in a cosmic godly assemble rite.
The standing sound wind runs to blow
as the amber flames beneath the ashes glow.

Darkness inches it's way and wrath,
the lone farmer on the field then hurry to his path
as before the sunset, he needs to be home fast.
Crickets stalked with their wafting chants in the air

suddenly, soppy dew globules descends to the ground
crumbling to reach the parched earth bounds,
Drenched and tired after lots of strides
serenity falls to the farmer after the globules dried

Aurora wears fine lace
Alighting from pale night…
Amethyst her morn’s gown;
Against a floral stage
As she paints nature…bold !

Avalanche and Aurora

God, are you sending Earth an electron avalanche?
Was supplying sun’s particles part of Creation’s goal?
Is insulation why we have such a cold snowy North Pole?
Is there a light cycle, scientists’ least explored branch?

The suns’ fiery color spectrum hosts continuous acclaim!
Unlike man-made radiances: mercury or sodium vapor lights,
A flame, an incandescent bulb or florescent light,
Where man watches; bands of color specific molecules frame.

Flammable gases; the environment soon reclaims.
Whether man-made in the sand or built upon the snow,
It is intriguing to watch a burning fire’s warming glow.
Red, green, and blue colors embellish the flames.

Oh, glow of solar particles sixty miles plus above the earth.
Decorate the sky with bright, multi-colored patterns.
Energize and rejuvenate Mother Earth as our world turns.
Feed us, oh Aurora; give Earth’s light cycle rebirth.

See it in Barrow, Alaska, Tromsø, Norway and Tiksi, Russia.
Men watch the wonders of God as heaven’s light churns.
Brilliant yellow-green hues have blue and purple patterns.
Earth’s life giving sun displays his continuous spectra.

The steep cascade of particles, like an avalanche of snow,
Tumbling with gravity, the snowy white is pealed.
Like solar particles blown into the earth’s magnetic field.
Fall into the earth; taken for granted our faces aglow.

Aurora Borealis

Crisp clean air gently expanding my lungs
Infinite pigments of vivid dazzling lights
Painted illumination masterfully hung
Washing over my body and brain
Gradually tampering down
My intermittent slices of insane

Tenderly reposing my weary mind
I Lie my head where the universes
Polished stars divinely shine
Nature surrounds my earthly bed
Glimpses of cascading brilliant color
Dancing through the evening sky
Soulfully digested, nourished and fed

A blanket that radiates glistening hues
For only my molten laden eyes to see
My breathe suddenly is eased, cleansed
For it has yoked the omnipotent to me
Silently retraining my brain
Gradually tampering down
My intermittent slices of insane
