Best Amnesiac Poems

Drifting in timeless wonder
Tattered frames in faceless forms
Misplaced words an amnesiac mind
Stolen thoughts in seconds frame
Images so fleeting are undefinable
Time stolen as the clock ticks steadily
Drifting in an unknown universe
Space and time flutters around me
Words flowing within a mirage
Pages stand in bare form
White, barren without words

God's Waiting Room

Herein the empty vessels
cavort, frenzied motion capture,
compass cracked, fly blown
dervishes robbed of direction.

Mumbling lips aflutter
with poetry deranged;
dry dock for the ancients,
amnesiac retrograde.

Inconsolable and incurable,
imaginary tasks, furniture removal,
trailing human waste
they are the cause of.

Beneath a frozen clock,
metal frames and walking sticks
lean in derelict repose,
surreal, Daliesque in structure.

The intimate stink of
bowel and bladder hangs
a cloud of doomsday,
peeling humanity's very integrity.

All the while waiting,
injury and bonus time
arthritic in progress, waiting
to be touched by the hand of God.

Mind Muscle

MIND MUSCLE

Steroid cocktails, metallic flavor, Viagra rush;
Mind numbing mush!

Sightless vision, cloudy comprehension, silent violence, whimpering misogyny; a blood-curdling hush…

Nervous perspiration, brain freeze, lactic acid rush; Gray matter atrophy flush! Dissipating oxygen accompanied by synapses firing twinges!

Amnesiac causing binge; constricting pyro nerve ending singed; Ascend to the black hole rush…

Epidermal twitches, vitamin E glitch, inhale and exhale switch, Marauding biceps, involuntary tick…, Bulging disc, brain-teasing peroxide, attention deficit; Word nerd… Hard body… Flex and discern… Secret genius…?

Mind Muscle...

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Amnesiac By Choice

endless sky brushes crimson strokes
upon a cloudless Summer void
sea soft to pastel blue benign
robs shore of its sparkling treasure
trees drip opaque tears 'pon sharp blades
of velvet grass stood to attention
queen bee summons dawn's light to blaze
a trail across talc-ed pollen paths
birds drift thermals as if hung
to dry their new inked melodies
whilst lovers lick chocolate from lips
agape for breaths of fantasy
at speakers corner atheists
sing amen to politics' tarnished guilt
as listeners turn a blind eye to memory

Film Noir Rapt

The TCM channel caught my eye
playing movies termed "film noir"
intriguing movies where someone lies
and theres a body lying on the floor,

The old black and white movie draws me in
with Bogie and Bacall or Stanwyck and MacMurray
murder mysteries with shadows and grins
where the villain is calculating and very nervy,

A love triangle where three is a crowd
the villains conscience is put on hold
where my rapt attention becomes aroused
seeing the poor victim lying lifeless and cold,

I want to scream watch out they have a gun!
as I'm transported into the movie scene
feeling like I should get up and run
helping the naive victim out of their bad dream,

Its always too late as I can't realistically help
but I know that the bad guy will eventually get caught
with a detective or third party gaining facts that will melt
the "amnesiac" villains story they haven't yet bought,

The villain sometimes ends up dying too
or sometimes getting "cuffed" going into jail
either way these films make me want to chew
not only on my popcorn but on my nails...

Staring Into the Abyss

Lachrymal layers within the Abyss of love’s laments that reminisce
Upon the edge a barbarous bliss which began with the eternal kiss
Where serpentine shadows swell and the jaded jackals joyously yell
Riding the conundrum carousel an elliptical obliquity of their dwell

Spectrum colors fade to black in creation of the parasitic paranoiac
Marauding memories of the amnesiac harried hearts of the cardiac
Forever falling within the pensive pit where my soul begins to split
Corrosions of conformity commit where gods of good & evil transmit

Absolute oblivions that hibernate emotional echoes that magistrate
Illicit Idols that isolate commanding the fallen angels to germinate
Gravitational graveyards in rotation and demons dance in damnation
Malignant matter in mutation dispersing fear and irreversible isolation

Whirlpools of the great divide where some will escape and others hide
Where the defeated darkness is my bride and sub-zero sorrows collide
Whispering wounds with a hiss escaping velocity of loves that we miss
Mortality such as this all stands still as we stare into the abeyance abyss.

The Karma of Pharma

In the morning I take heed, I need my fix…
Running around like a headless steed, I start to mix…
Just an ambient aphrodisiac, my tantalizing tea…
A dormant astral amnesiac, in a matrix reality…

My deficit hyperactivity starts to mourn, I need my stimulant…
Relying on prescription worn, a narcoleptic nilpotent…
Looking for my performance enhancer, I strike a pose…
I turn into an exotic dancer, where are my clothes?

I’m an electrical euphoriant, just plug me in…
A vexing viral variant, a sinister seductive sin…
A deprived dopamine, searching for neural transmission…
My effusive endocrine, in a rambunctious remission…

In my magnetic resonance imaging, chronic pain in depression…
Where dimensions are diminishing, I’m open to confession…
Please unplug me from the world, time to disappear…
Cover me within a comfy curled, take away the fear.

Based on my consulting this year’s almanac
June 30th being the best possible day for a BBQ out back
I sent out invitations to everyone, I didn’t hold back

There was the lumberjack, the nymphomaniac
The humpback, the hunchback and the hypochondriac
The kleptomaniac, the hemophiliac and the insomniac
No reason to leave out the egomaniac and the pyromaniac
Ooops and how could I almost forget our local amnesiac

I proposed a neighbourly exchange of paperback
I asked them all to contribute, call back or at least provide feedback

Eve of June 30th, gotta prepare my shack
Start to clean vigorously with ammoniac
Wash my floors and dust that miscellaneous bric-a-brac
To make room for guests, park my hatchback in the cul-de-sac
Find bowls for every possible sweet and snack
Think of various games including kayak and piggyback
Think I might serve some type of aphrodisiac
Put together a musical playlist of 60’s to 70’s flashback
Get all set for a promising night of banter and wisecrack
I think I’ve thought of everything and I’m right on track
O gotta go… I think I hear the doorbell- must be Jack

I addressed the young stranger sitting alone on a park bench:
"Hi, I'm Jason Bills." His handshake was firm, his smile uncertain
but warm.

"Hello, Jason. I--I don't know my name or where I am!"

And so began the odd but fulfilling relationship between the amnesiac
and my entire little sheltered Southern town. Enveloping him in
concern and love, we created "Jerry" and a life for him, making him
brother, son, friend to us all. We took pride in our--uh, invention--gladly
taking care of his needs and wants. He did odd jobs quite skillfully; we,
of course, paid him in cash.

At first, we asked few questions, since he so quickly became nervous.
Then, after a few weeks, the town's conscience reared its accusing head,
demanding that we make an all-out effort to awaken his past. Loved ones
surely were grieving and searching for him.

We weren't very subtle. We probed and prodded: "Any memories,
even vague ones, of family? Past surroundings? Profession? Hobbies?
Religious faith? Problems that might've traumatized . . . ?"

By then, "Jerry" was trembling, almost in tears. "I--I just don't
remember--ANYTHING. I'm sorry!"

We promised, "Okay, Jerry, no more interrogations! Some day soon,
maybe we can contact authorities to help us discover who you are.
Surely you, deep down, want to know."

Jerry's smile was gone. The next day, so was he.

Silent In the Dark

Here among the ruin’s stones lie histories of chance
Conceived and dreamed but yesterday, a vision viewed askance
Edifice and monument built by egos whim
Just artifacts of interest in history’s mausoleum
These whitened sepulchers of pride record heroic deeds
Lie broken, scattered, buried, overrun by natures weeds
Rediscovered, viewed with awe, researched for reasons why
Ten thousand years of memory, unseen by ancient skies
A hundred million planets amidst a trillion billion stars
For countless aeons turning, with unending silent power
In amnesiac ambivalence, the cosmos wheels and grinds
Conceit and vanity and pride, finely ground by time
Behold the hollow victories, raised up in fleeting pride,
Manufactured statements, that corrupt, destroy, divide.
When all is gone, what leave we here, what’s mans eternal mark
A small blue planet void and dead, and silent in the dark

All From Darkness

Never before has such a blind sleep made so resolute to awaken
and from the ancient sands of shadows
calls now to the form of human souls

Gather there forthwith, from all that fear has darkened
and turn about those pitiful echoes in abuse
for effortless is the target of innocence and use

No mortal light can be gleaned from the doubt of survival
but give more to tears in prescient emotion
and believe loves sway to the counsellings of heart

Time of evolution befalls
and perchance all yields greater than wish imagined
in spiritual resonance becomes this occurrence of beauty

Why so broken crashed upon illusions bloody crag
faltering ever in conspicuous damnation
and by wont amnesiac indistinguishable of strength

Arise, carry not the embalmed prisons in desperate life
as dust these monsters suckle upon starvation
but with joyous arms embrace this tender Earth

She calls now to the form of human souls
and from the ancient sands of shadows
never before has such a blind sleep made so resolute to awaken.

Lucid Amnesiac

Standing but stumbling, mumbling and grumbling
Looking for meaning in the stars
Weeping but leaping, reaping while sleeping
Screening ghostwriters for my memoirs

I was wondering about the seed and the sprout
While watering my alkanet plants
Torn asunder by seething self-doubt
While observing a colony of ants

Then it came to me all at once like a lightening bolt
It's time to change, time to dissent, it's time to revolt

Quiet Echoes In the Rain

One day I walked through never land
Without the need to understand
Each crazy paving simile
That popped up right in front of me,
I bathed myself in nonsense rhyme
No need of thought, just rambling rhyme,
Amnesiac the wandering ways
A poets memory often strays.

I saw a man who saw me first
A man who had a talking thirst
That bathed us slowly in the hours
Of sun stitched shade and shadow flowers,
Until he finally fell asleep
Into the evenings heavenly deep
And I got up and walked away
For I’d ran out of things to say.

I watched a sun blend with a moon
A subtly soft celestial tune
That wandered off towards the rain
Where echoed instances remain
Of who knows what and who knows where
So many rhymes still to declare,
Where they both slept on beds of cloud
So finely made their hand stitched shroud.

I called out softly once again
To quiet echoes in the rain
But still I didn’t understand
The echoes were at my command,
For what I heard was my own voice
A subtly formulated choice
Of ethereal early calls
Rebounding from my own soul walls…

Medication

A wisp of oxygen coated in nicotine
A Pavlova tutu caught in the snare
Of a petticoat flooding like a
Mouthful of cigar smoke, rupturing
Clouds and folds beneath her
Like the angel of a Christmas tree

The cold glass eyes, filled like
A champagne flute, their cataracts
And dead black amnesiac stares
Watching and forgetting in an instant
Saline girl approaching like a panzer man
Caught in a bubble, completely

Separated, the heavy gate slammed
The cemetary forging into the photo frames
Those wide eyes told tales but
Now they sit on a shelf of wrinkles
Expressing pain for those young ones
Are gone now like the mothers chained

To parliament gates, fighting endlessly
Under the snow globes of petticoats
The netted window of sickness catching
Out shadows, the bubble, a fish
Bowl, her hand catching the rough salt
Watering the flesh. White apron, thick crimson cross.
