Best Alarm Clock Poems
Broken clocks with wooden blocks
And the power is out again.
Cold burning hands lifted up with a little
sacrificial parenthetical nonsense
"Yuletide noreaster winding down"
Of course it will be cold - it always is.
And there will be red numerals flashing
in the morning.
Isaac is having his nightmares again,
Feeling like a tied down goatskin.
maybe it is just that Old Testament slang.
Some say single syllable saliva.
Some say killing time on Mount Moriah.
Now a fifth of gin in the pillowtop linen,
May be worse a sin than to kill kin.
And the blankets are tangled thickets,
The alarm clock is tuned to AM radio.
When you hear that alarm clock ring,
be prepared to get up and swing.
If not, you could be in bed all day.
The morning will quickly pass away.
At work, the boss can get annoyed.
Get up and out before you're unemployed.
Inspired by another member's poem.
Roar of a snore
Heard it before
Intense urge to wiz
Felt the call that is
Awake too soon
So far from noon
Early to rise
A primal surprise
An annoying jolt
Stampeding down Jurassic Park
Up all night, pitch black dark
Toss and turn
Oil to burn
Seething at the snort
Restful slumber to abort
No excuse for this abuse
Ring the alarm, light a fuse
Snored awake, sleep do shake
Awful Fright, this late night
Pitch black dark
Jurassic Park
I have two alarm clocks
One electric
Which I do not use
Only to tell time
Then-there is Sparkles
Yes Sparkles
She wakes me gently
With nudges and kisses
Early in the morn
Until I awake
She wants her breakfast
n the early morn
When tummy is full
then she is content
Going back to sleep
To rise in discovery of morning...
Whilst I find my dream still yawning...
Beating the alarm clock to its screech....
The sun testifies, with joy and sorrow...
For this morning, without warning...
We appear to be out of coffee beans...
Presented with stiff upper lip...
and all movement stalled...
As I stare out the window,
at mornings dew...
Not even shadows follow me...
under covers I do dive...
Merciless cold visits my window pane...
and my craving for coffee deepens
As I allow my sleepy mind to wallow...
...The day dream alerts me...
...The fact we're out of coffee...
It will be tea this morning I swallow...
I sleep all day out of sight
In a tree hollow
Coiled up in a ball, am I
Stay still; don’t wallow
When night doth blossom
In the dusk I will forage
Just call me “possum”

Ready or not it is time to arise
She has been busy all night and it is time to close her eyes
She lives nearby high in a tree
Her rise and sleep cycle is an alarm clock for me
She has been hunting all night and it is time to rest
She is feeding her owlets and tending to their nest
I hear them noisily demanding their food
they must be an adorable feathered brood
Then as dawn breaks in the sky
Mama owl proclaims it is time to say bye
She calmly sings her song acoustic
I awake hearing her music
This natural cycle repeats every night
She tells me it is time for me to sleep as she takes flight
I lay down for the night,
staring at the night sky
holding my blanket tight!
Slowly, all the hubbub of the city
starts fading away, and
I settle in for a good night's sleep!
Then comes that boisterous noise which
ruins my sleep, and makes me stand on my feet!
If it weren't for those hands ticking away
I would have enjoyed the rest of my sleep!
Then comes the time I have to go to school, and
as usual I almost missed my bus!
The school bell starts ringing, and
the teacher tries to make herself heard
over the pandemonium residing in our class.
The last bell of the day rings, and
everyone scrambles out of school!
But were it not for the clangorous
of my alarm clock,
I might not have a spent a day
how I have done, today!!!!
I want an alarm clock. .
I want it to ring when I need to get up,
I want it to ring when I have to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner,
I want it to ring when I need to stare into the skies,
I want it to ring when I need to call my dear ones,
I want it to ring when I need to dream,
I want it to ring when I need to wake up to reality,
I want it to ring when I have to plunge into the water,
I want it to ring when I ought to get to the prayer hall,
I want it to ring when I need to wash the car,
I want it to ring when I have no stock of groceries,
I want it to ring when my blood boils,
I want it to ring when my temper no longer holds,
I want it to ring when I am disoriented,
I want it to ring when I know not what I am doing,
I want it to ring when I need to make coffee,
I want it to ring when I can let people read me,
I want it to ring when I need to talk to myself,
I want it to ring when I want it to ring,
I want an alarm clock. . .

I hear the bells that ring and hurt my head
And know it’s time to drag myself from bed.
Alarm Clock
-Levis Hutchins,the inventor
On a birds eye survey you had seen buildings, horses, wagons on a flat yard.
In central vision you had seen the street of Hampshire before you
had seen their walls in front of you. They were worn out and were having this course texture.Horses were having clip-clop sound of their heels on a left ear, they had been casual and walking on a solid gravel of the town. on your right hand ear , when you had took the first left turn,a Hampshire chocolate dusty particles had engulfed folks.
On a direct view you ve seen the main street. On the eastern side of the main street that would been a three stories high building. That would have been the Concord NH company of Levi Hutchins and Simon Willard the inventor of alarm watch .That would had been a rugged pine wood doors in front of you.A brass clock hanged on the pinewood door.
the first alarm clock maker to manufacture brass clock in New Hampshire
"it would be sometime before the similar inventions would replace the method of waking" Hampshireblog

Waking in the morning is good. He thought people should wake up in time.
He designed an alarm watch in 1780. There is Big Creator though..
they THEMSELVES tracked the movement of the sun
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"
and God said: “Let there be light.” Then there was light. After that God saw that the light was good, and God began to divide the light from the darkness."Genesis
expanding gaze in early morn
surmise, the clock ticks to its horn
greeted by the ceiling with it's haze
thought was behind this endless chase
those numbers flicker as i grapple
that sight start to wonder and mumble
dubious reach ahead of this race
sulking at suspension in space
hour ahead of the intended clock
thoughts flutter in bed remain tucked
wandering back to the dreamland
surfing the waves of time strands
languor restrained amidst of trance
surfacing back this heavy dance
with the chorale of time whispers
eyes slit as the ear pitch lingers
ascending as this day is primed
to the duty to earn some dime
bracing up for tomorrow's trail
waking up a familiar stale
A buzz, a beep, a ringing bell
That damn loud noise that comes from hell.
It wakes me from a restful slumber
With evil glowing flashing numbers.
What did I do to earn this fate?
Besides stay up an hour late.
My fuzzy brain would like to know
From buried deep in my pillow.
Why can't I wake up to something sweet,
A gentle breeze? A birdie's tweet?
A soft massage or lover's touch?
Oh no, that's asking way too much.
I contemplate my destiny
And how I wasted yesterday
And now must pay the sinner's dues
Ugh, this poem is lame, I'll just hit snooze!
I GET UP IN THE MORNING TO PEE
IT GETS ME UP AND OUT
IN A WAY,
IT’S GOD’S ALARM CLOCK
WHEN NOTHING ELSE WORKS
My alarm clock has fur
It wakes me up each day
Funny, I don’t hear a thing
I feel it, by the way
It doesn’t have a buzzer
No button or a bell
It makes a kind of slurpy sound
As far as I can tell
I never have to worry
That I’ll be late for work
The only off switch for my clock -
To get up, as I smirk
A great big, pink, wet tongue
Kisses me awake
With furry tail and bright brown eyes
And golden paws to shake
My alarm clock has fur
It’s set to break of dawn
I smile as we begin the day
Each morning with a yawn
