My Alarm Clock Has Fur
My alarm clock has fur
It wakes me up each day
Funny, I don’t hear a thing
I feel it, by the way
It doesn’t have a buzzer
No button or a bell
It makes a kind of slurpy sound
As far as I can tell
I never have to worry
That I’ll be late for work
The only off switch for my clock -
To get up, as I smirk
A great big, pink, wet tongue
Kisses me awake
With furry tail and bright brown eyes
And golden paws to shake
My alarm clock has fur
It’s set to break of dawn
I smile as we begin the day
Each morning with a yawn
