Friends and Lovers Who Agree To Disagree

Any kind of love worth having,
Understands that disagreements happen,
And does not diminish when the first disagreement surfaces,
No, it will stay around and show its true value,
Not pack a sad and leave the field open to hate and prejudice,
This love that will stand the test of time,
Hold true even in the face of war, or famine,
And will retain its shape, no matter how hard the battering.
Be it for a friend a lover, or a family member, or even a stranger,
Who is in need of this love.

To agree to disagree,
To see both sides of the coin,
And give them equal value,
To recognise that opinions are not good or bad but different,
And not an indication of a wish to do harm,
To understand that thoughts and words and deeds,
All travel at different speeds.

Agreeing to disagree gives us an extra layer of comfort,
That a lesser kind of love will not,
As our thoughts and words can be a close match,
And only our deeds will need to be sometimes kept in check.

All too often do we fail to see,
That this kind of Love does not take kindly to us setting agendas,
Making unreasonable demands,
Or withholding favors,
To get agreements that will always be broken.

This kind of love,
Brings me so much hope,
I am glad I recognized it before it was too late,
So bitterness will not dog my twilight years
As I find plenty to talk about,
With those who have chosen to agree to disagree with me.

Agree To Disagree

Mankind's greatest
                                                 accomplishment...

                                                      is death.

In life disagreements have always been around,
so why the frown?
We all like what we like and that’s the bottom line.
I won’t see life as you do because I am me and
you are you.
However, what kind of filter do you use before
you look?
The filter that you use is a determining factor in
what you see.
I’m not perfect by a long shot, but I try to let
optimism be my guide.
In a world of negativity it’s so easy to let op-
timism fall by the wayside.
The old saying is true “ treat others like you want
to be treated.“
If someone said they like(or have a nonchalant
demeanor )being mistreated or disrespected,
I don’t believe you.
Because at the core, we all are human beings
and we have feelings.
If you don’t care now, you used to care, being
hurt over and over can cause pain; pain overload
turns into numbness.
The moment you allow yourself to feel again you
will understand.
Numbness can “walk around with a I don’t care”
attitude.
Once your numbness leaves, you will start to feel
again.
I know from personal experience, I wore my
numbness(as a shield of defense) for years
and nothing affected me.
Later on ,once I dealt with my pain and put
aside my shield of defense I started to heal.
The world in itself is cruel, and fueled by so
much hate.
But change starts with you and I, let’s agree
to disagree and walk in to love’s wing.

Premium Member We Agree On Love

The time has come, for us to see.
That our love was meant to be.
The time has come, for us to see this through.

You will see that we agree.
You will see that we agree on love.

Love, love, love, love..
Love, love, love..
We agree on love..

The time has come, for us to see.
It's you for me, and me for you.
The time has come, for us to see this through.

You will see that we agree.
You will see that we agree on love.

Love, love, love, love..
Love, love, love..
We agree on love..

We finally see this coming true.
It's you for me, and me for you.
We finally see our love is coming through.

You will see that we agree.
You will see that we agree on love.

Love, love, love, love..
Love, love, love..
We agree on love.

We agree on love.....

I Agree

I agree

I see that we must now agree to disagree again,
we cannot all see eye to eye, it really is a pain,
at least, at last, we all agree to disagree again
does this means disagreement then is really all in vain,
for agreement of this nature, in disagreement’s name,
means disagreeing really means we all agree the same.

So now we’ve got agreement can we all see eye to eye
and in our disagreement have another chance to try
to reach a full agreement on the things that made us say
that we agreed to disagree and leave it just that way,
or does it simply emphasise that we all disagree
and really must now all agree, agreement cannot be.

I hope that you can all agree that we may disagree
for we all have our opinions on everything we see,
this leads to disagreement and its usual to find
that every single one of us will try to change each mind,
for only when all others show its your point they can see
can we feel at last that we were right, I hope you all agree....

Agree to Disagree

It seems unfortunate to me
Those humans who seem
To be lacking the ability to
 Agree to disagree

You see they have to be Right
Therefore, they fight and they fight
Seems like such wasted energy
To get others to concede
And have them agree to think as thee

An Ego so grande
You must understand
Perspectives and opinions
Are likened to anuses
Something I for refuse to be
I prefer just to have

Agree To Disagree

When the argument becomes personal
things are said that do not apply to all.
Speakers’ moods are no longer affable.
There is silence among people. They stall.

Do not speak of absolute politics.
Do not speak of absolute religion.
Change the subject, avoid theatrics.
Discussing sports is a wise decision.

Speak of the devil, here is our subject.
Change social cues like changing names.
Better to be relative than object.
Such are patterns in language games.

Communication can be difficult
if agreement must be its end result.

I don’t understand the way
That hatred seems to rule
Every minute of every day
It seems to gain more fuel

Dave told us years ago
That “We Just Disagree”
But now we choose to hate and so
No answers will there be

Cooperation is a lost art
Collaboration can’t be found
Real solutions will never start
When hatred still abounds

There was a time not long ago
When opposite sides could talk
Design and ideas would flow
Our leaders walked the walk

That time is gone, it seems for good
And hatred rules the day
Discussions turn to attacks so rude
There’s nothing left to say

It seems that now we never find
When two on opposite sides
Disagree, but still are kind
To others far and wide

“Agree to disagree” I’ve heard the phrase
And try to comprehend
That differences, like a smoky haze
Don’t make you hate your friend

So make a change, just try and see
You’ll help this world go round
Don’t hate because you disagree
And answers will be found

Premium Member We Cannot Agree

We cannot truly all agree.
Tall talk of freedoms free and fair
or ones that we will never see -
toss them all about everywhere.

Sharing equal rights makes us fuss,
trip over egos in the rough.
Then who will save the least of us,
when we find enough is enough?

Queries affront reality:
women's birth rights are just their own,
no law from one sole deity.
Should science rule our earth alone?

So many issues flow and sway,
let us pray for some kinder way.

So You Agree That Valentine's Day

So you agree that you don't
celebrate Valentine's Day
because you chose not to be a
part of the masses for the
origin of Valentine's Day has
nothing to do with love but
death
So you agree that Valentines
Day is what the masses use to
market chocolate, teddy bears,
negligees, and dinner
So you agree that the masses
will celebrate any man made
holiday in order to make a
dollar and try to make you feel
like love should only be
expressed Feb 14th.
So you agree my love that we
will not exchange gifts on Feb
14th but use several days
throughout the year to spend
time with one another,
exchange what we like with one
another instead of waiting for a
calendar to instruct you to do
so. What was that? You said
yes, well, my love I'm glad we
are equally yoked because I
don't think it would work any
other way!

Can we agree to disagree?

I stand not to repress,
I mean only to express,
My opinions without another feeling less.

Each a diverse human being,
Common ground far between,
"Political correctness" is nothing but a dream.

No one's truth is more true,
No one's story defines you,
Same points, details differ our view.

No one person's way is right,
People revell in this fight,
This future has no exit plan in sight.

Hard yet simple it can be,
Hinders most on delivery,
Essential for hearing you & me.

Not what we said but how we say,
Usually complicates our way,
Come together, not tomorrow but today.

Our future will brighten.. you'll see,
Full of harmonious clarity,
If we can genuinely agree to disagree.

Understanding, communication & respect above all.
We must let go, let the ego fall.
We can agree on indifference while maintaining personal truth,
A vital message to pass on to our youth.
No pressure my mates,
This not what this for,
All I am thinking,
No need for this war.
