Just Doesn'T Add Up

Pythagoras once fell off a ladder
And landed on a venomous adder
This adder couldn't add
Calculus made it sad
Algebra and theorems made it madder.

Nothing Else To Add

"Nothing Else To Add"

Thinking clearly
I wrote this sincerely
From the one you regard dearly
Nearly
Everybody having theories
Times getting eerie
Yearly

It didn't always turn out ideally
She really
Wanted to get touchy and feely
Telling me how she could heal me
After I did some wheelies
Next she said feel free
To take her up on the deal and see
Soon she'd reveal the key

For both parties it was beneficial
And rather simple
Not no piffle

Yeah I said it
There's no need to edit
It's becoming pathetic

Far too many
Being petty
Filled with envy

Get ahead or fall behind
On the move, or soon to unwind
Saw it coming, or being blind
Struggling, or doing fine
Missing or seeing the sign
Not thinking or using your mind
Being rude or kind

Can't be sad
Had
To get after what I didn't have
No matter if I was doing bad
Sure , life can be sad
But I'm not staying mad
I got to give it a stab
If it's something I want to grab

Still glad
I don't care about any fad
There's nothing else to add

Premium Member We Cannot Add To His Work

We Cannot Add To HIS Work!

We cannot add to the work of the cross, nor can
we take away from its value! JESUS, HIMSELF
said just before HE died on the cross, “It Is
finished”!! Why would we want to add or take
away anything from it when HE said, “It is
finished”? It was a work that only GOD, HIMSELF
could have completed for us!

We cannot “work” our way to Heaven as wonderful
as the work is or looks like it is, your work will not get you
into Heaven! What would you add to the work that
JESUS did, or deduct from it? When you stand before the
FATHER of HEAVEN and EARTH, and HE asks you straight
out, “What did you do with MY SON’s Work on
and before the cross”? “Why didn’t you accept HIM
and what HE had done for you”? Are you going to say,
“Well, I didn’t think it was what I wanted to be able
to get to Heaven with? It was too violent, too bloody
and I wanted to do beautiful works to get there!

How foolish! How can we even comprehend the
suffering that CHRIST did for us to be able to spend
eternity with HIM! HIS FATHER is the ONE WHO
determined how “man” could be reunited with HIM
after the fall of Adam and Eve. JESUS committed
HIMSELF to the FATHER’s plan of Salvation and totally
surrendered to it; HE left Heaven and came to earth
to carry it out!

If we don’t “surrender” to HIM, then the words
you will hear when you stand before the Throne
of FATHER GOD will be, Depart from ME for
I never knew you! Then the angels of the LORD
will escort you to Hell.

Please rethink your position here about, JESUS; as
it is JESUS and JESUS alone that purchased your salvation
by HIS most precious BLOOD. Like the Bible say,
our sin debt can only be paid by the Precious Blood of the LAMB,
JESUS CHRIST not with the blood of bulls and goats. Know this to; HIS BLOOD is still as powerful today as the day it was shed on Calvary
2000 years ago.

Why not accept HIS sacrifice today for your sins and life and
ask JESUS into your heart and life and serve HIM the
rest of your life as your LORD and SAVIOR!

GOD bless,

Marbles, marbles! I've lost my marbles.
I don't know where they are.
I know I had them recently,
So they can't have gotten far.

Blast it all! My marbles.
Where have I gone and left them?
I used them just the other day.
I was glad I'd had them then.

I do this all the time, you know.
Lose my marbles, is what I mean.
And every time I get them back,
I find that more are missing.

So now I have a handful left,
Nowhere near what used to be.
And there I see a screw that's loose,
That's all I bloomin’ need.

Old and new, rich and poor, and
those of whom you're not quite sure
school and work, and some on the block
others of whom you oughta take stock

Fair-weather or true-blue
  they've all supported you --
Yet as on your journey you wend
  how many remain your friend...

As for me and my outlook on life
the one friend I can count on's my wife

Sad Add

If you don't have anything good to say
Don't say anything
Shut up
Or
Put up
Or are you just wasting space
A pen without a face or a pad
A modern pop fad
Trying to be bad
Because no 1 answered your Add

Just Add Sugar

When life gives you lemons,
squeeze out every drop.
Have you a drink,
because thats all you've got.
The taste maybe bitter
But in time, that will change.
Just add a little sugar
Sweetness goes a long way

The Flowers Add Zest

God created the Earth
And stood back to see.
What more did it need-
Maybe some green trees?

It needed more color
To make it look its best,
So he created all the flowers
Just to add a little zest.

Roses, violets, and lilies of the valley,
Snapdragons, azaleas, poinsettias, and dahlias,
Chrysanthemums, marigolds, zinnias and fern.
I cannot name them all, now it’s your turn!

The flowers added color,
And lots of zest.
Now, Earth was beautiful-
It had passed the test!

Addled

Restlessness, impulsiveness,
loquaciousness, compulsiveness,
distracted inattentiveness
and tangent railway tracks.

Complexities, anxieties
and dopamine deficiencies.
Instant gratification please,
relief for my synapse.

Procrastination, wired sensation,
biochemical frustration,
forget to take my medication.
Frontal lobe relapse.

Rapid heartbeat, fidgety feet,
hypervigilant, unable to sleep,
central nervous system freak.
Neurological cracks.

Time To Add More Love

The world's just not the same
This empire in decline
Roses don't smell as sweet
Only grow half their size

And I say....

Baby, doesn't it make you feel sad inside?

And I say...

Baby, doesn't it make you want to cry?

Let's protect ourselves
From the coming flood
Won't need no bullets
Just our shield of love

Let's protect ourselves
From the coming storm
Won't need no raincoats
While love keeps us warm

Time to put more wood
On the dying fire
Of hope

Time to add more love
Gonna raise this
Sinking boat

And I say....

Baby, doesn't it make you feel sad inside?

And I say....

Baby doesn't it make you want to cry?

You're all I need
To get through this
Doom and gloom
Your love for me
And my love for you.

An Overabundance of Words - An Add Anthem

Entice the essence of the word
A lexicon of value heard
A luxury of words astute
With salutation and salute

Inside this circle, only squares
And children point with double dares
A solo singer comes in pairs
While stepping down to climb the stairs

I'm sending letters without stamp
A street light stands without a lamp;
Deduct the darkness from my bill
My empty tank too full to fill

A centimeter is no inch
Before the punch it's time to flinch
A baker's dozen has thirteen
And what you saw you've never seen

When I get home I've gone away
I work too hard when I'm at play
Tomorrow is my yesterday
My ferrous feet are made of clay

I win the race when I have lost
Find out the price but not the cost
My brand new plane is highway bound
Square holes I own are in the round

I guess I've got a problem here
I ask for wine and got a beer
I know the words but cannot write
I have my eyes but have no sight

I think it's time to go to bed
But when I do I'm getting up
I did not say what I just said
So pour my saucer in my cup

"a.D.D."

These are just some random thoughts
that I guess I still have
of you, of us, of me, of we.

How you use to call me
out of the blue saying,
you just needed your daily fix
of me.

What happened to the times when
we just couldn't get enough of each other
and being apart only justified
how much we longed to be together?

"If you had a choice between
beauty or brains,
what would you choose?"

'I hate hypothetical questions.
Why can't I have both?'
I always wanted to be pretty
and I studied trying to be smart.

"How come you never call me?"
'Why does it matter, who calls whom
as long as we talk?

'You can call me whenever you want,
because I always want to talk to you.'

Remembering times we would
be on the phone without talking,
just content to hear the other breathe.

It use to compensate for us being apart
yet it never did satisfy our loneliness.
Until we just got tired of hurting
and saying the words "I miss you."

Because
if you stop saying it, then maybe
you would stop feeling it and then maybe
it wouldn't hurt so much anymore.

How can one person's view of beauty
be another person's view of disgust?
Does the eye of the beholder differ that immensely,
that your own beliefs, you no longer trust?

I guess I knew it was over when you would be sitting
right next to me and I still felt all alone,
neither of us knowing what to say.

I hate words at times,
and the fact we need to speak
to communicate.

These are just some random thoughts
that I guess I still have
of you, of us, of me, of we....

Premium Member Dear God Its Meatloaf Just Add Ketchup

Things need to get straight

Somewhere there are pearly gates

Using goodness as bait

White and mystical

Healthy and physical

Then there is standing there in the street

A man filled with theatrical heat

Underneath the dark sky

Shifting through the stage reality lie

Illuminated by a lamp

Similar to the dock at the crystal lake camp

Reading casting ads

All seem tasteless and bad

Decided to go

To the one called ‘a picture show’

What was this?

Low budget biz?

“It could be an opera like the star-studded Tommy

Or G rated James Bond magical car where the kids can go with Mommy”

Said the marketing pro

Who was ‘in the know’

Displaying advice

Being nice

Claiming to be an expert

Side hustling selling his concert shirt

Rocky idea originally failed

Got out of jail

Finding bail

Came back

From critic’s attack

Going the distance

Having persistence

Never needed a sequel

To equal

The first one

Still is so much fun

Shown at midnight

Not really looking for a fright

Instead wanting partying might

Tonight, somewhere plays a band

In a garage or on the sand

They mimic a song

Tempting and wrong

About a bat who got out of hell

A story the lyrics did tell

As they turn into who they really are

Visiting friends hanging at the bar

Telling them soon they will spend what is in the tip jar

Observing from above

Wearing a heavenly usher’s glove

Now filled with love

An inexpensive piece of meat

Late hours add ketchup, it is a delightful treat

Enjoying bread and wine

Payment for his time

Realizing he really did shine

Down there

Taking the youthful sinful dare

Entertaining using character flair

For all to share

Until we all gather up there

Over meatloaf that is now gourmet

And to be frank ‘he did it his way’
