The moon is hidden out of sight
I come to you at dead of night
The latch is lifted on the door
You stand aloof as I implore
I kneel and grovel on the floor
I am aware of the full score
The whip is flicked; I crawl to you
In leather dressed, I take your cue
Out come the blindfold and the rope
With knots and teasing I can cope
You have your urges and the need
To act on impulse and to feed
On domination, unrestrained
Within the mind it is ingrained
You find release in mistress role
But I, the slave, am in control
Now is the time to beg of you
At height of passion what is due
Intense the climax of this game
I reach my aim; you call my name.

The Word

In the beginning was the word
Before that, no noun, no thing
Then no sound was ever heard
And no passing bell would ring

So therefore no adjective was needed to describe it or deplore it
No preposition required to be positioned right before it

No verb to do something to it or say what act it was pursuing
No need for an adverb to describe how well or badly it was doing

Since not even one noun existed, conjunctions would have been redundant
There were no things to act on and to move across the face of the fundament

So the first word there had to be - was BE, and that was the very first in existence
And from Genesis and Eden to Elsinore, it has had a remarkable degree of persistence

Now, in the Oxford English Dictionary which is venerable institution
There are 171476 full entries of words (2nd edition) all capable of elocution

Of these, about one seventh are verbs, therefore there must be around 24497 give or take, to enumerate all action
And that should be enough for even the most garrulous to get some satisfaction

This is a limited calculation and I wouldn't want to be tied down to it
We can be more free in our estimates so while we are about it, we might as well do it

It seems that once BE had been exercised, the dam broke and words poured out as from a cornucopia.
And verbs would soon exist in an abundance enough to carry you from here to Ethiopia

Except in the culture of youth where it appears this multitude has been reduced to the deplorable "was like"
To them I am tempted to say: "Learn some real verbs"; OR I would employ a phrasal such as
 'On-your-bike!'

The possibilities are now endless particularly if you include the phrasal
Giving us enough elan vital to at least maintain a metabolism basal

So to whoever first said BE, whether God or someone with similar propensities
though another name or description:
I say Well done! I couldn't in my wildest dreams with a wish to create a rich life and culture,
have produced a better prescription

I AM

A Father.
A Son.
A Brother.

None are just titles.

I live those titles every day through my actions.
I am successful at those roles every day.
I possess unconditional unwavering love .

I AM

A Director

My profession as much as my titles defines me.
It is not just my career it is my love.
Directing theatre has my unconditional unwavering love.
I am successful at this role every day.

I AM

defined by my actions.
I act on my beliefs.

I AM

 defined by my beliefs.

I believe in the fiber of someone's character
not their words,
in their intent not just their actions.

Peoples needs are important to me not just my own.

I AM

committed to forgiveness,
Humans are basically good.
The forest is dense predators lurk in the shadows.

Fear plays too important a role in too many lives.
I help others rather than judge them negatively.

I believe
Even though the task ahead seems insurmountable
we will find our way through the black of these days.
People with completely different views can and do bond.

I believe
We must learn tolerance for without it we are lost.

I believe
in priorities
I do not give too much importance
to words and ideas.

I learn from nature
like the mighty oak
I can bend with the wind.

I prefer more round tables,
less round 'em up.
In less locks
more open doors,
in more heart
less knee jerks.

I have the strength to accept I die
the will to live every day.

I worry about the incredible suffering
exists away from North America.

I Am
Love
above all else
Love

It is about put up
or shut up.
I am anything but silent.

I Am
one of many

in the end
that is who

I Am.

Out CAME DUSK dark and new
The MOON had risen and took its simple form.
Round and round was BEAU.

Every HEAVENLY BODY I saw began to act on a silky screen.
At TWILIGHT HOUR came the THEME THE birth of a new star.
It took its PLACE among the MILKY WAY FAMILY.

EVERYTHING I had seen was of beauty, as it were a dream.
Every heavenly body within the milky way surrounded ME.
This is what I AM. Here is where I belong.

Now I HEAR the twinkle of a HARMONIOUS song.
The song is my own.
HERE IS WHERE I BELONG.
I AM THE STAR THAT WAS BORN.

Premium Member An Empire Strikes Back

War is a time of great conflict
bringing so much misery and suffering
to a generation of people mistreated
on their knees in it's wake
prayers are calling to Heaven

Where the innocence of children
becomes tainted
no longer having a voice
little ones confused
scratching behind the ears

Silence there dwells
hate filled secrets buried
under the carpet of lies not revealed
from the unspoken truth

Invaders are tyrants
dressed in suits no doubt
employing soldiers
brutally abusing their powers
given unto them by the peoples vote
With no morals how does society stand a chance

They are blind unconscious
to their acts and deeds of mercy
Sitting on their high seats of office
Purely a stand up joke
with false handshakes claiming peace

Stealing is not a God given right
quoting justice seeks answers
We have all been deceived
Democracy of the poor struggling does not exist

I call for world peace
Address all issues
laid out on the table containing truth
The day for nit picking is over
End this shameful bloodshed and violence
because there is always two sides to every story

Victims of racism
no blacks
no dogs
our race came lower classed than animals
shame on your envy of our father's faith

Kept down for centuries
Sold as slaves of little worth
I am a writer of my times
Where everyone
should have a voice equal
not hiding in the cupboard

Love in God's light
has taught me morals
thou shalt not steal
or take what does not
belong to you pride

Hate with the demons
you dwell crying
over your own spoiled milk
Where was Europe
during this crisis time
when human rights
became violated on our soil

As a child to have a gun
pointed at your face
is down right cruelty in the act
twisting acceptance of arrogance
through the vision of my eyes
looking down a barrel at me

Even yet years later
they remain silent
why I ask myself
when the grass is cut
before your eyes
into addressing murder and child abuse
big issue to act on
in realities fact
the reaper of truth sheds light always

You Need To Know

YOU NEED TO KNOW

To live the life of attraction

You really need to take this action

First of all you need to know

Where your thoughts are you shall go

Be aware of all you think

Your thoughts are where you’ll find the link

Your thoughts are the link to state of bliss

The keys to glory that can’t be missed

Who is it that you want to be

Act on that thought accordingly

For when you do, with joy you’ll shout

That you’ve become what you think about!

What we think, we attract

Nothing ever has been so exact!

I live my life in this way you see

What ever I think I attract to me

I strive to fill my world with bliss

And always hold my thoughts to this

It’s not your genes that make up you

It’s what you’re thinking to be true!

We are the consequences of our thoughts

Think bliss my friend is what you ought

For in this state lies immense satisfaction

We become what we think about

It’s called the law of attraction!

Oh What Misery

Oh what misery!

The heart-
an indigent and feral beast
kept in lock down
in an inner cage
for my own good

What treachery dwells
within that creature!

It's wiles,
it's devious nature
eludes my control

and entices me
to act on
base instincts...

that leave me
in want of spirit,
disillusioned...

My awakening to
sensual pleasures
enraptures me...

I am left smitten
and imprisoned
to desire

So now...I ask
who is the slave
and who is the master?

The yearning for
carnality overwhelms...

my conscience is
frozen solid...
immobile

with nothing to mediate
debauched desires

I spin into
delirium...

wholly lost in
the unholy
oblivion of reality

I consecrate
my mind,
and I submit
to His will...

however,
I tread on
the edge
of a delicate
imbalance-

Obtuse
to the destruction
that
pummels my will
and dedication

me,
now a willing
participant of
egregious sin

I wallow
in self-pity

Oh, what misery!

Love, the Illusion

There's a rehearsal in the castle, cult party masquerading on the dance floor latin verse sermons the words heard will entrance you, transfix you,
The devil advances towards you and sits you around the marble table where we talk about our carnal instincts and every situation that we find ourselves deep in.
Morning star calling from the depth of his evil pits where I sleep on bed of nails just to hammer down my dreams with something more uncomfortable than standing on ya steep cliff.
Cold and lonely only having ghosts here to speak with about the meanings of life and the lies that we keep hid.
Within controlling moments of emotions that we sink in and sync with relations on a basis of us needing to create a status where were being with each other cos we're linking and we discover that we break it...... now we're seeing our relationship sinking it sinks to the deep abyss
My vision is impaired by unclear scenes I'm witnessing and feeling sickened to the stomach from the butterflies in flight when my gut instinct senses some lies from bad vibes I'm like
Am I jumping to conclusions straining to think straight brain becomes a nuisance
Am I jumping to conclusions the illusion of love is still just as intrusive.

And I'm tryna figure out what to do brain doing figure eights tryna draw up clue to this mad moment
I feel clueless in bad moods, usually I'm living as if I've something to lose
And now I'm tryna figure out what to do blaming you isn't saving myself from the truth proving our pacts broken.....
......Will I think logical or act on emotion when I'm tryna figure out what to do brain doing figure eights tryna draw up clue to this mad moment
I feel brutal in bad moods, cluelessly now living as if I've nothing to lose
And I'm tryna figure out what to do thinking of a better way to proceed to see all this bull through re-evaluating recent events judging my errors bearing in mind I'm civil and often couldn't be fairer
Anything I tell you isn't out of a conscience I'm conscious but I'm hurting inside and this stomach aches constant
I've put up with this nonsense dealing with ghosts
Like sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it don't

“No matter how low we fall, God holds our hand ~
All’s enabled, if this truth we understand”
                                             ~ quote by poet

Both Adam and Eve were tempted
To eat the forbidden fruit
Perhaps their fall could be preempted
If they weren't so resolute
To take the devil's route

Let us together attempt to reconstruct
This metaphorical tale
Why did Adam and Eve self-destruct
Drinking not from the holy grail
Thus their soul growth derail

Eating the apple brought about shame
Of their naked body
Aroused lower mind no doubt to blame
Making them a limited somebody
Entertaining thoughts shoddy

Made in God's image man was complete
Essence of divine light
From head to toe at all times bliss replete
Temptation became the blight
Denuding spherical sight

Male and female being our polarities within
Apple representing animal lust
Negating God's love and light the original sin
Succumbing to ego cravings unjust
Thus doomed to ensoul organic dust

The serpent is our ego; the devil in disguise
Cajoling man to act on his own
Indulging in desires, stifling soul's bliss rise
Head over heart, love dethrone
A dark destiny, we now bemoan

Fortunately, we can reverse the error made
Simply by giving love a nod
We then enter God's heavenly blissful glade
Tip toeing into heart unshod
By His boundless grace overawed

An Ode To Caycay

Have you ever wondered to yourself
"Have I gone stale, am I back on the shelf"?

I have been to that writer's own lonely place
Where words seldom come or only give you a trace.

Then some contest will come along and let me see
A few words that I can use to help set my spirit free.

Not words that I would have thought on my own
But one of my heroes, whose work is here often shown.

She will give me a boost when I feel my work is poor
They do the trick, because I am suddenly sure.

Perhaps you have felt it because they are driven
By a poet whose comments are most honestly given.

Her words to me often give me a peaceful calm
That act on my soul like a most soothing balm.

She is one of the first to have welcomed me here
I am very grateful that I was included in her sphere.

She has helped to give my words a strength and fight
Especially when she knew that they needed to come to light.

I put her in my heroes and told her that perhaps one day
I would write something for her when I could think of the words to say.

This is a poor effort and lacks what her words to me mean, but alas
It is my ODE TO CAYCAY...for that day has finally come to pass.

They are not of the quality I would like to have written
But these words came to me today as if I were smitten.

My saying "Thank you" does not do her any justice at all
Right now, they are the only ones that I can recall.

So let me say them in this, in my own meager way
YOU HAVE HELPED KEEP ME ON TRACK..."THANKS, CAYCAY"!

Nefarious Spirit

The Human Creature is not exempt
As the nefarious spirit lives within.

Even the saintliest of us all have
A touch of the nefarious within.

My secret is that I am with you always—
When you’re awake, asleep, and dreaming.

I am your alter ego at times and even
That dark shadow in the room beyond.

When you gaze into your morning mirror—
I am there too as only a faintly bare existence.

Don’t look too hard and too deeply into the mirror—
For I shall disappoint, become invisible, and disappear.

In your evil-thinking moments of anger and rage,
I shall hunt others for you at your behest and desire.

But I shall haunt you and surely play on your emotions,
If you’re wrong about the others, no matter who they be.

Being an uncanny spirit of action, sorrow, and chaos
I can act on a moment’s notice and bring pain to bear.

I live in the deepest, darkest chasm of your inner psyche,
Be sure to use me wisely—whilst showing all due care!

Premium Member Goodbye, Odie

Goodbye, Odie

My little old cat is dying.
His steps are awkward, eyes unfocussed
and he cries when he can’t see me.
I’m not sure I want to be in a world
that doesn’t have my tabby Familiar.
I am feeling widowed, again.

I’m resigned to be grieving, again
outliving another love who is dying.
There’s odd comfort in this ache, the strange familiar.
I gaze at him imploringly, in tears, unfocussed.
He is my greatest love in our small world.
He reaches out a snow- capped paw to tap me.

Here I go again, making it all about me,
fighting to accept death must happen, again.
It seems that these past years, this is my world,
sitting by the bedside of the dying,
as they gaze at unseen figures in the room, unfocussed,
but they hear them, and they smile, voices familiar.

I push my face in soft ginger fur, the scent familiar.
He always smelled like vanilla cookies, to me.
Green eyes stare into mine, they’re focussed.
I watch as death opaques the life from eyes, again.
I hear my husband’s voice as he was dying;
“I am tired. It’s time to leave this world.”
Death has been a constant in my world,
an entity with which I’m too familiar.
Such a selfish act on the part of the dying,
to love me absolutely, then leave me.
I feel the empty chest constriction of grief, again.
I clutch a lifeless body, I am unfocussed.

I can’t see through tears, unfocussed.
Odie leaves a gaping hole in my world.
I’ll struggle with condolences, again.
My grief is in my chest, pain so familiar.
The last time one I loved held on to me
while completing the evolution of dying.

No longer unfocussed, I rise to greet grief, again,
it’s now my world and it enfolds me,
my dark, familiar partner in the dance of dying.

Premium Member Spreading Happiness

Send the world a message with a smile,
Put on your happy face, cheer up, and
Remember to laugh once in a while.
Experience this moment in time,
And allow yourself to feel happy.
Don't ever forget that you're alive
In a world fueled by emotions.
Nothing speaks to the heart like a smile;
Go ahead and silently converse.

Hold on to hope, or it'll slip away;
And you won't know it until it's gone.
People who act on their fears are still
People, and we should treat them as such.
It can't hurt to smile and be polite;
No one likes to be screamed at, and yet
Everyone wants to be heard, and so
Sometimes, it escalates to shouting;
Smiles, however, are seldom ignored.
