It’s another sordid workplace affair
Organized by the dashing and flamboyant Pierre
There should be a warning to beware
Bad week to start any diet – o what despair
Millions of calories everywhere
On one side a mountain of chocolate éclair
On the other a huge tray of Camembert
It was hard enough to squeeze my derriere
Half-way out of this big cozy armchair
Till I managed to park myself elsewhere
Next to the cheese tray I do declare
There’s more than enough to share
I volunteered to sample so let them stare
Trying to look casually debonair
As my butt widens with each bite I’m aware
No one ever said life is fair

A is for apathy, “You all know you are!”

B is for itching, “Why can’t I have a car?”
U is for the umbilical cord. You never cut from Ma.
N is for neutral, “Why should you take a stand?”

D is for dependent, “Hey, one always needs a hand!”
A is for angry, “Well, why the hell shouldn’t I be?”
N is for nostalgia, ‘cause in the past we’re free.
C is for the ocks ;) who run the whole damn show!.
E is for euthanasia, “When your old just GO!”

And all that spells abundance, in case you could not tell?
Or went to school in Texas and never learned to spell.

OUR BOUNTIFUL GOD

Our God is bountiful because…

Eternal generosity never runs out of blessing remedies
They appear when least anticipated
Popping up – leaping out – capturing the unexpected
As lost pennies found with surprises bearing gifts
Trembling with anticipation of smiles and dancing laughter
Benediction of brightest benevolence

Love divine sent in daily, heavenly, valentines.

Valentine’s appear signed by love’s sweetest heart –
Hearts of God’s beatifying bounty not hidden
Found in clouds and rocks, in garden harvest consecrations
Beloved bliss overflowing –never empty - no refills needed –
Greeting cards of extravagant grace – no signature or postage due –
Bound in mercy’s lace impervious to time.

Love divine sent in daily, heavenly, valentines.

God’s bursting bounty of abundant grace filled with delights –
Warehouse shelves of mercy’s lavish greeting cards inexhaustible
Divinity’s heart throbs in love letters – no conditional caveats –
Always a dedication to beloved children even prodigals
With an everlasting toast of grace spoken over miracles
Postmarked invitations to jubilees sealed with eternity’s kiss

Love divine sent in daily, heavenly valentines

Tender devotion more enduring than resurrected bones once lost to time
Revelation’s paper hearts edged in fragrant incenses of filigree
Abounding generosity – uncontainable – exalting felicity
Written in messages of consecrated majesty
Surging elegance refined in the refiners purifying fire
Unfettered favor, the ever open hand, solace of the heart’s desire.

Love divine sent in daily, heavenly, valentines
God is bountiful because…

A measure of human want,
Of mans unceasing desires,
Abundance of food in excess
Of what stomach can bear,
Of wealth and gilded jewels,
Of mansions and orchards,
Cornucopia from age of Zeus,
Unabating symbol of greed,
Stop to fill that mythical horn,
With generosity of your heart,
Throw goodness in good measure,
And for once fill a poor man’s cart!

In just a smile
True wealth worthwhile

In a glimpse brief
Joy hides in grief

In a wise play
A better way

In a good feel
Feel love move thrill

In a brief glance
A brilliant chance

Abundant sunshine warms the day
Beauty delights, colors
call the soul to explore spring's gifts
Dappled woods, jonquils' butter

Echoing birds from tender limbs
Fabulous scents waft gently
Gorgeous sunrise transforms the scene
Habitats worked intently

Idealise the beauty of blooms
Jonquils, tulips flower
Keynotes to springs' vivacity
Luscious scents empower

Magnificent artistry lures
Narcissus white invites
Opulent scent streams forth in waves
Penetrating the night

Question not the wisteria's grace
Relish the beauty seen
Springform pan releases explosion
Tumbling out shades of green

Uninterrupted spring flows on
Validating rebirth
With wonder the world looks on
Xenopus gives birth

Yearly the splendor captivates
Zestiest season when love dates

In autumn when the woods are shades of red,
wind scatters the reddish leaves overhead.
Falling seeds fain to heaven's moist rain spreads
to swell the earth, and plump latent seedbed.

Wind scatters the reddish leaves overhead;
sweet kernels longing; to set budding more
to swell the earth, and plump latent seedbed.
Its fruitfulness with ripeness to the core.

Sweet kernels longing, to set budding more;
squirrels bound across trees, hedge-crickets sing.
Its fruitfulness with ripeness to the core,
finches, redpolls, crossbills cache seeds that spring.

Squirrels bound across trees, hedge-crickets sing,
scamper away not seeing where they stir.
Finches, redpolls, crossbills cache seeds that spring
in beauty of nature that comfort her.

Scamper away not seeing where they stir,
falling seeds fain to heaven's moist rain spreads;
in beauty of nature that comfort her,
in autumn when the woods are shades of red.

-this Vast Abundance of Ours-

Think in abundance and abundance will be yours

The million of stars for you to gaze upon

The thousands upon thousands of leaves on the trees around

Oodles and oodles of grains of sand to walk on

The vast atmosphere of air to breath with

The million upon millions of litres of water

Running in the rivers to thirst upon

The trillions of thoughts coarsing thro' our mind

The vast spaciousness of the galaxies

       Of infinite unknown dimensions

To play and romp in fields of flowers and grasses

To rest your body and eyes upon

What abundance we have in store

What monies can be bared and paid at the door

Of our bounteous gifts bestowed in glory

And from the Father's love from the start of history

Pray as if you have already recieved we're told

Believe that you already have the requested lot

Then let it not for a moment be forgotten too

To take the moment and thank and be thankful for

Be gracious with your bounty in store

Give freely so that you can freely receive too

For not one cent can you at the close of the hour

Take on the journey to be with the Father evermore

Prep done with glowing heart
The list grows as day gets near
Decked out in fall pumpkin hues
Reminiscent of harvest bounty
All the fixin’s for a feast
Every detail thought thru
Enticing aromas fill the house
Carving turkey with precision
Best china set ‘round the table
Sharing drinks in finest crystal
Toasting to happiness and health
Ready for capping off the banquet
Are flaky pies hot in the oven
Saying grace comes natural
When gifted with sweet abundance
True friends and loving family
Sturdy roof over our heads
Fortunate are we in every way

Full of delectable fruit
Birds housed in abundance

Premium Member Angels In Abundance

If a half-baked idea hits you
And knocks you as hard as
A lightning bolt,
That it feels like a megavolt,
Sit and for a while ponder,
And in amazement and awe,
You’ll discover intense wonder.
May angels surround and protect
You from harm
May they
Roam in your life and
Fly in your every dream,
He has sent them, for you
And rank high in His esteem.
A celestial hug they might
Give you to dry up any tears,
And chase away nightmares,
Or any other earthly fears.
The love with which they encompass
Is a feeling that could
Last for years,
So spread this feeling of tender love,
That you have received,
Which cannot measure
Up to any treasure,
And will give perceivable pleasure,
No doubt you were chosen
Isn’t that just wonderful,
Wake up don’t act as if frozen,
You are a master-piece He has woven,
With great joy,
He is so busy, He sends angels as envoys,
They arrive on earth in convoys,
They are commissioned to deliver
All of the above,
Overwhelming, maybe,
Have you not felt their presence before,
In your every pore?

Premium Member Song of a Harvest Home

Song of the Harvest Home

Under contented twilight memories, my childhood harvest home abides in chrysanthemum hues
Two story home on a quiet street behind a fence decorated by my grandmother’s roses -
Dressed up in sleet, sometimes snow, maybe rain, even icy sunbeams
Midst the warmest benediction, blessings gathered from fields and orchards yield
Our wide door flung open like hovering wings to gather in extensions of abundant bounty -
Transforming the harvest round a table extended by oaken leaves Granddad at the head of table,
Generations take their seats to bow their heads in loud amens of celebration grace –
Scents of cinnamon and of sage, harmony and dysfunction, at their places
Setting ageless wisdom like silverware - dreams to sparkle like crystal glasses
An understanding unspoken – always a place for those alone on this holiday – now adopted -
New family welcomed by fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles - cousins
Loud debates swirling like cream in coffee over pie and Grammie’s applesauce cake,
Closely guarded stories of the cousins raiding relish trays, wearing olives on fingertips
A turkey taking flight across the kitchen floor – raspberry jelly retrieved from basement larder -
A box of chocolates anticipated - Jordan almonds in my pocket
Memories of the year when pot pies replaced the bird – not repeated – thank you Lord -
Giggles over washing dishes as playing cards appeared on blanket covered tables
Before a warming fire where my heavy eyes relished this genesis of jubilee, a “normal?” family
Our voices raised in the song of a harvest home around a slightly out of tune piano.
