Best A Broken Heart Poems

Premium Member Healing a Broken Heart

The bleeding sunset lingers on her mind
as night approaches and the sky goes dark.
Her soul is restless; how it craves to find
some words of comfort which could leave their mark,

erasing heartache etched in grooves of tears
on ice-cold marble where lost dreams now dwell,
relief imploring from the grasp of fear,
the twilight shadows full of doubts dispel.

The wind is conscious of her thoughts distraught;
it whispers softly, plays with her long hair,
diverts attention, brings her grief to naught...
A damsel’s heart fragmented he can’t bear.

Dense clouds are drifting and the moon slips by;
the joy of healing it will not deny.

A Broken Heart I Met

I once met a broken heart ,
It said it longed for love.
And it'd been yearning so long !
It said there's no God above.
.
For if there was, a God there,
 It wouldn't have to suffer.
And live a life that had ,
Made its survival tougher.
.
So , I asked it to look within ,
If some bit of the love had lasted,
And it came out grieving ,
That out of the blues ,
it had in fact found a casket !
.
And there within the casket lay ,
All the love it longed , it sighed.
Sadly though through pure negligence,
Now all that love had died .
  .
For, since years the heart had been to lands , water and cliffs ,
In hopes of finding some love that belonged it bit by bit.
It had cried and craved for love that was so far,
Never had it cared enough to look into his own jar.
You love yourself ,
God loves you back,
The poor heart didn't know!
And that is the purest love to find ,
May wherever you go.

Premium Member Tattoo of a Broken Heart

It’s raining in the corner
Stripes upon the floor
Bloody knife in a barroom door
Drinking whiskey
From a hollowed out gourd
Full of wasps
That rage in my core
Old man Mason
Got a smile upon his face
He knows the fire
And now I got a taste
Can’t stand up
Can’t lie down
Spinning room
Going round and round
Lipstick so red and thick
Devils eyes are on my hip
Right hand of the devil
Is a handgun son
I’m shooting dice
I’m shooting everyone
Woke up in a Philippine jail
I’ll sail for Hong Kong
Once I make my bail
They’ll never find me
The only evidence to tell
Is a tattoo of a broken heart
And a rusty nail

A Broken Heart Away

She was my first love until it ended
It would last forever I believed
Was it the childish words that so offended
Or were we by our youth just being deceived.
I couldn't do a thing to stop you leaving
Though I remember hoping you would stay
but the final words I spoke I still believe in
I will never be more than a broken heart away.

The memories of that love are still with me
Loving feelings in my heart are tightly cleft
All around me I see a beautiful history
Reminders of our love before you left.
Ornaments and pictures on the mantle
Each a memory I can touch
I have even saved all the scented candles
and the bible pressed rose you loved so much.

Now I'm hearing your new man has betrayed you
I heard he hit you and you lived a life of hell
You now know not a word he spoke has proven true
Since the day he first cast his evil spell.
I'm told you would come back if I asked you
Nevermore would you feel the need to stray
This time it would be forever and you'll be true
and you are only a broken heart away .

My friendship is there if you should need me
My shoulder is yours if you wish to cry
All I own is given to you freely
but I'm afraid my love I cannot lie
My broken heart has now mended
Though scarred by the bitter years of pain
What we shared has truly ended
I just cannot put my heart through that again ,

Premium Member Technology and a Broken Heart

A rag of a paper from a lifetime that's gone,
Replaced by a small microchip.
The feel of those words in the palm of your hands,
That the ends of your fingers would grip.

And the hands of a surgeon juggling his craft,
Or the journalist reporting the news.
All replaced with perfect mechanical arms,
On an internet with millions of views.

Already we yearn for the art of the human,
Who'd do the best that he could with few fails.
Spinning their yarn with small human insights,
And yet covering all important details.

And the car indicator you pushed to turn off,
Or the window you wound to pull down.
We miss the old life of being involved,
When computers didn't run the whole town.

A Broken Heart

I have a broken heart so sad with sorrow,
My love’s full of such anguish and fear;
My soul’s afire with pain for the morrow.

My heart seeks such a palliative yarrow,
My thoughts are shattered, no longer clear;
I have a broken heart so sad with sorrow.

My desire’s gone, a victim of a much harrow,
My emotions are awry and bring no cheer;
My soul’s afire with pain for the morrow.

Your anger strikes my heart like a poison arrow,
Your evil intent revealed with no sugary veneer;
I have a broken heart so sad with sorrow.

I live my life now with no surcease of sorrow,
Your former love declarations ring now so *****;
My soul’s afire with pain for the morrow.

My spirit’s in tatters from your hateful harrow,
And your face now haunts me with a nasty leer;
I have a broken heart so sad with sorrow.
My soul’s afire with pain for the morrow.

Premium Member To Fear a Broken Heart

To quiver in darkness, lost love to blame.
To build a tighter web to bind your heart.
Troubled by reason, your soul to reclaim.
To hide with the shadows, broken apart.
To cover yourself from pain and sorrow,
And flee from life, safe in darkness found.
Inside the dark, will be no tomorrow.
This despair you cling to, a chosen ground.
A broken heart becomes your domain,
Will always keep you from love's encroach.
It brings you comfort this dark thirsty pain,
A cold poisonous drink love will not approach.

A slow death alone, as your tears begin.
You hope love will find you worthy again.

How To Fix a Broken Heart

Superglue won’t do it, neither will flour paste glue,
PVA is useless, and Araldite is too.

A broken heart cannot be stitched together,
And Gaffer tape doesn’t last forever.

How do you mend a broken heart?
Broken by a friend or lover that had to part.

Time they say is what heals best,
But until then there's a hole inside your chest.

A broken heart cannot be mended, remember it’s not a toy.
Always try to look after it and not give it to ANY girl or boy.

Love and time is what is needed, to mend a broken heart
So hold on tightly to your loves, so they never need depart.

A Fighter Like A Broken Heart

With pain that racks his body
defeat is on his mind.
Blood drips from his nose and lip
his left eye beaten blind.

He falls just like a timber
on a cold and stormy night.
A fighter like a broken heart
in a never ending fight.

He thinks about a simpler time
his father and his mother.
Blows keep falling just like rain
one round after another.

Then suddenly it's over
the battle's reached its end.
The fighter like a broken heart
can now take time to mend.

But life is like an ocean
with the secrets it contains.
And rivers for so long now dry
its memory remains.

Every dream that's found worth dreaming
worth all we must go through.
And every fight worth fighting
to see that dream come true.

Through the sorrow of defeat
and the ring of victories laughter.
A fighter like a broken heart
is stronger not long after.

So be strong and of good courage
as you rise up from a fall.
He who has the most to gain
is he who risks it all.

Premium Member The Silence of a Broken Heart

The fear of losing you is real
It’s in the countless daily moments
Of a diagnosis still echoing in our ear
A verdict forever stuck in our throat
Maybe better to know but at what cost
Trying to keep illness at bay
Aggressive the counter attack
Life never to be the same
Dark thoughts still lurk uninvited
As sometimes your eyes tear up
With no detectable provocation
And in the hush of night when all is quiet
The silence seems unbearable
Within the shadow of a broken heart
So we strive to live each day
As though life is the gift it is

A BROKEN HEART

How many people die a day, and
And how many loved ones mourn,
How many lives change in a day,
And how many hearts are torn!
My heart was torn,
My life turned inside out,
I watched the man I loved,
Fight,
His cancer,
With all his might,
But he died and I cried!
A tall, proud, handsome man,
Brought to rest,
At his best!
I miss you dad ,
And I feel sad,
But one day we will meet,
In the hallways of the sky,
Then we’ll no longer need
To cry,
For in these many passages high
Above in the sky,
With an over whelming joy,
We will also see Alan your
Grandson, and my baby boy!

Premium Member How To Mend A Broken Heart

Best way to mend a broken heart:
To fall in love again, make new start.

Mends a Broken Heart

Her loves sheds light
on my crushed broken heart,
A heart now free of all pain and sorrow
that once tore it apart...

My heart now filled
with lots of joy, happiness and a wonderful glee,
She now shows her love
a love for only me...

Do I truly
deserve such a gracious love?
Did God send me his blessings
a blessing from above???

Am I just in a dream
that I see only at night,
Or is this love for real
or my selfish over sight???

One thing for sure
that I know is no mistake,
My baby truly loves me
For her love is not a fake...

Thank you my love
for my heart you did mend,
I now know most certainly,
Your love God did send...

Train To A Broken Heart

I said I'm on a train to meet you,
But you won't be waiting there,
I look around the platform,
I guess you really don't care.

I used to ask for you to be here,
But now I just want your call back,
But I can't find you here,
So I guess it's time to pack.

I drag my suitcase along,
And wonder through the streets,
I swear I heard your laugh in the air,
My heart skipped a beat.

I'm on a train to leave you,
Why weren't you waiting there,
Platforms still empty,
And you still don't care.
