Premium MemberOrchid Blue

Orchid won't you sing to me, your petals blue and bright?
In botany, a rarity, an aurora in the night
And when I get to hear your voice, my ears behold the sound
Of unity in harmony, magnificence profound
O orchid, beauty self contained, when all else fades it shall remain
For though you're beauty to my sight
You run much deeper, essence bedight

Gift People Their Roses

"Every struggle in my life has been a lesson and made me stronger."
                            Quote by _Constance La France

Gift people their roses

Gift people their roses while still around,
unspoken words continue to benight,
do not wait until they are graveyard bound.

Let your heart and lips master that sweet sound,
tell them you love them from your being’s height,
gift people their roses while still around.

Breathe in the air where butterflies fly round,
show gratitude to folks by matchless might,
do not wait until they are graveyard bound.

Weed nettles creeping on a fertile mound,
when trees have leaves and berries still bedight,
gift people their roses while still around.

Allow those kinds of beliefs to gain ground,
tell them they inspire you and feel all right,
do not wait until they are graveyard bound.

A life, with lilies and marigolds crowned,
on worth and value will shine a bright light,
gift people their roses while still around,
do not wait until they are graveyard bound.

Winter Visions

On hot summer days I miss the sight of Winter
When snow is a blanket in the height of Winter

I think of sleigh rides and cups of hot chocolate
and skiing slopes covered with the white of Winter

And despite tree branches and their absence of leaves
I don't feel the bareness is a blight of Winter

There's serenity in the world as Christmas nears
Pine garlands are used as the bedight of Winter

Children have dreams of Santa bringing them new toys
Their bright eyes and smiles are the limelight of Winter

Such a joyous season for friends and family
Gathering to feast, is a highlight of Winter

on New Year's Eve, after Auld Lang Syne is sung,
We'll share a kiss on this special night of Winter

So as Autumn nears, gold leaves will tumble aground
It's the harbinger to the birthright of Winter

I yearn for cooler days and Summer's heat to end
and for Fall to make way for the flight of Winter

I, Jenna, say, "Let winds blow. Soon there will be snow
When I'll gladly bask in each delight of Winter"

Premium MemberFlavor of Stars

In restless dreams I sail the night on celestial seas
starlight guiding my way along an uncharted course
exploring constellations with consummate expertise
but it's a secret, so I'll never reveal my tour de force

Some nights I fly around the moon on diaphanous wings
landing while she sings to me, a soft lullaby in the night
then journey on my quest for love, around Saturn's rings
to find a handsome dreamer, a gallant winged bedight

I've yet to find the seraphic one to ignite my stellar flare
My dreams may only fill a scrapbook of elegiac memoirs
unless I find a Luna river whose elixir leads me to love's lair
Until then I'll be drinking from the moon and tasting the stars

Savoring the flavor of starlight before waking from my dream
Thirst quenched in the mystical waters after the moon's eclipse
Hoping to find a lover at my side, seductive eyes all agleam
whispering words of love to me before surrendering my lips

The Crime of Love

Shall I suppress the hankering of love,
And behold one’s stifle whispering bare,
Or quench thy besmirch of venom thereof,
Or bedight thy fog, doer of despair?
Before perceiving wisdom of thy crime,
Judgement of thyself no question make,
When desires approach years of prime,
Must respect and morals themselves forsake?
Though slavery gone captured we still be,
Yet must we all have thy person to blame?
Praise thy duets of similarity,
Forswear injustice and love all the same,
So even I not man still do yet swain
For love alone must I wish to gain.
