Now For My Next Trick

My long-patched magician's suit
has been mothballed,

the trick pockets,
hidden springs and secret linings
no longer fool or bedazzle.

A white rabbit died in my top hat
the hat, I returned to Amazon
marked 'unused',
the stale rabbit droppings within it
                  failed to convince.

Age has revealed a wizened wizard,
a creature unmasked.

Should I now take up a similar profession,
one just as duplicitous and talismanic,
                            yet much less obvious,

forswear with a feigned confidence
that this new self be none other,
                             than a bona fide poet?

Premium MemberMagic Bottle Glimmers

One day mom gave me a bottle sparkling,
bright fairy pixie lights swirled around me;
all about my room sparkles encircling,
the twinkles from the bottle were set free !

Mom, what a wonderful glimmering light,
a golden glowing magical dazzle;
lights are floating up and down, left and right,
oh, enchanted and in a bedazzle !

All about my room light is zip and zap,
I don't want to lose the golden shimmers;
so I try to catch them ... my hand the trap,
oh, mom thank you for the glimmers !

cascades of color
creates fragrance enigma
bougainvillea

purple sun pastime
and lushness now has a name
sangria dawn fame

peach noon honey glazed
lends sparkle to cherry blooms
like Mars sunset rooms

frozen beauty falls
just past the time of tulips
in gold sun closeups

Premium Memberone size fits all

clutch them …

nourish them …
draw all to your being with
a lover’s hunger
the cosmos bears suns, innumerable
each a rarity of scintillation
unlike any other -
a macrocosm of nascency and
divine chaos
in a measure to rival every
pinch of dust that ever whirled
upon a whisper…
like the ache of fidelity,
each has its own bountiful awe
and who can know what
wonders lay in wait beyond the gleam?
they are not stars
they do not churn with fusion
nor do they bedazzle the heavens,
but they are just as precious -
despite the size or weave or breadth …
so treat them with
deference, regard and quiet consideration
for the big things are the little things
and the biggest of
all the small …

are moments.

Premium MemberIn Your Embrace

In embrace of your love, blossoms my eager night,
Strumming themes romantic fervid passions recite

Invoked by scarlet-eventide glinting arc of twilight
As final breaths of dimming-day golden rays ignite

Signaling to emotive vibes twinkling on starry skies
Now’s the time for constellations to bedazzle eyes

In magenta, red nebulae buoying upon stellar seas
Navigating tides of joy as smiles of Venus appease

When enamored we stroll lauding exuberance of glee
Bequeathed by dreams, mystiques of desires spree,

In missives of forever-love verses of hearts decree
Responding to overtures, aspirations intimate plea,

Giving voice to latent hints echoing proffers of soul
Vying reveries esoteric sensuous heartbeats cajole

Prodding us to waltz, to rhythms of nocturnal tune,
Attuning beats of hearts beneath love-struck moon.

Premium MemberColorful Wonder

Cascade of colors swirls in a fishy maze,
a tank of topicals swim the watery haze;
as a plastic diver opens his treasure,
what's inside is strictly his pleasure.

Tetra's dream of tasty bites
Swordtails dine to their delight;
albino Catfish sweeps the gravel,
as bright corals do bedazzle.

As bright guppies wiggle, wriggle
and Goldfish's fins flow in a jiggle;
a black Molly races by the snails,
as a tiny crab scurries up the ship's sail.

It's a color-wonderland behind the glass;
flowing in and out of the guppy grass.

Bird Watching

You’re looking through the lens,
then a flare of orange sherbet, a Baltimore Oriole!
Your wide-eyed grin is hard to look away from.

A bright splash of tangerine,
flashes of white on each black wing,
a bedazzle of delight.
You keep smiling into the camera -
a moment of euphoria.

If the metropolis is anything like the bird
Baltimore must be golden city in the clouds
yet even I know that’s a cock-eyed vision.

Premium MemberBedazzle

Glittery gleaming sunshine, made of a thousand colors,
Crowding the capricious seasons, where beauty occurs.
Scarlet gems in summer garden, glisten morning's dew,
The spectrum's caught in a puddle, and in rainbows too!

Radiant, sparkling brilliance, rich luster of myriad days,
A butterfly wing, a bird's feather, caught in gilded rays.
Emerald leaves are glitzy, just following the spring rain,
And sapphire skies look lovely, from the blooming lane.

Premium MemberTreasures Pour From Him

Tears drop tornado, dollops jump above sides
Thin limb goblin sinking anchor bronze
Terrified in rising waves of violent river's rides

Envelope hapless magician in wail swirl static
Embellish emerald strangle collar wash
Emotions sharp peak - white caps leap erratic

Aspired as diamonds, climbed mountain poke
Arrange cloud malady stormy metal shon
Acrewed blue bellies bellow over goblin croak

Rascal salt ocean stab of silver dolphin spears
Roll nauseous sorcery balled crystal slosh
Regaled bedazzle boat slides triumphant tears

Shiva My Saviour

I close my eyes to see his face,
I bow my head to feel his grace.
He holds my hand when times are tough,
To give me strength that's enough.
    My Shiva lives inside me,
    Guides me and chides me.
He's my protector and my friend.
He's the light of my tunnel's end.

He is naive like a child ,
    sometimes harsh mostly mild.
Lover of milk and wood apple.
His aura can make anybody bedazzle.

He is like you and me,
    Nothing grand just ordinary.
    He's a paradox and a hyperbole.
    His existence is simply exemplary.

Deep in depression when I felt,
I just closed my eyes and knelt.
He was there in my mind,
how could I be so bilnd?
The step I wanted to take was so wrong,
how could I not see , this is where I truly
   belong.

He truly touches my heart and soul,
He is the one who makes me whole.
My Shiva lives in my heart,
I know for sure that we will never be apart .

To Lord Subhashini

Enormously elegant damsel

Fond of devotional travel
Unique style does bedazzle
Adorned with natural jewel
Of twin eyes with sparkle
Classic looks with twin temple
Adoringly awesome dimple..!

Pure heart and radiant grace
Enamouring charm like Goddess
Full of enigmatic prowess
At times can be a tigress
Diva like quotient oozes
When stands amidst flora branches
Seems a noble alien from space
As all virtues are ace
Many great acumens I assess
Soon bestow her super success..!!

Ever enchanting with her tone
Tinkling sound of anklet shone
In the group shines alone
Such is the superb phone
Adds charm the ice cream cone
As she perfectly poses in zone
A doyen auspiciousness prone
Want to verse moving in drone
Capturing all her traits golden
Hats off to my Goddess Goshen..!!!

There Lives a Mermaid

There lives a mermaid with a lighted tail
In a cave deep, deep under the dark blue sea
Moonlight does not reach her
But some of the sun rays do___
And when the rays strike her body
She shines like a full moon____
Enlightens the dark bottom of the sea
& sings a song that awakens the dead

Pity for the sea
It is blinded to her bedazzle light__
Pity for the sea
It is deaf to her mellifluous melodies___

Only the Jellyfish could listen the song,
Only he could see the Precious,
He comes there everyday,
Talk for hours to the Creature
locked in a wide antre with one small window
Deep, deep under the water

She loves herself, and her tail,
The sole source of light in Dark__
She can, but won’t break the lock,
For the light will vanish
the moment she steps out of the antre
Dark will rule
And the animals, Ahh their lives…!!

No, she must stay there,
And sing to the pearls sleeping in the mollusks
A song of life and of hope
She must stay at the bottom,
And sing to the ones who listen
For the sake of theirs, & of her own

Premium MemberBe Not

Be not becalmed, but busy, buzzy, bustling;
bedazzling but not bedraggled;
beloved, bewitched but be not besotted.
Be bewitching, but not belittling nor besmirching.

Begin to be -
become, belong, befriend, beseech, beget
Bewilder, befuddle, bedazzle,
Make bequests - beguile, beseech, bestow, bequeath,
to belay fate bedeviled with
what is not to be.

Beyond the buzzing, hustle and bumbling
be businesslike, but not belligerent nor bossy
Be bespattered with pollen begotten in harvest.

Premium MemberWhere Bumbles Bounce and Blooms Bedazzle

I’ve come back to that place
where bumbles bounce and blooms bedazzle -
a place that ought to be one of happy recollections,
for it is so pretty here. . . even now,
and the air so fragrant.

Despite its loveliness, the garden of this city park
can never more enchant me,
and the ruby bedazzlers that still reside here
I never can forgive for their betryal.

How innocently they all looked on as my dearest childhood friend –
pleased to lean in to inhale their petals’ sweet scent -
gasped upon receiving that sharp sudden sting.
Her face ballooned out, becoming nearly unrecognizable
as she struggled to breathe, but we both were unaware
of my darling friend’s most severe of allergies. . .

She fainted then, never to bounce back,
unlike those bumbles in the garden
where the blooms had so bedazzled her.
They bumble around even now, forever bouncing back
to remind me of that most dreadful of days.

Premium MemberFlowers

Here the sunlit hours stream
As fancy as warm dreams

All around the sparkle
Hues and tints now dazzle

Green grass and greenery
Nature knows sheer revelry

If only sighs boost highs
In awe I wonder why

Such pretty flowers sing
I watch as stillness flings

Fields of sheer ecstasy
Wait upon mystery

This earth is so lovely
Why then our sad story?

Pretty flowers in brief
Now bedazzle vain grief

A merchant of words here
May joy cluster sweet cheer
