There Lives a Mermaid
There lives a mermaid with a lighted tail
In a cave deep, deep under the dark blue sea
Moonlight does not reach her
But some of the sun rays do___
And when the rays strike her body
She shines like a full moon____
Enlightens the dark bottom of the sea
& sings a song that awakens the dead
Pity for the sea
It is blinded to her bedazzle light__
Pity for the sea
It is deaf to her mellifluous melodies___
Only the Jellyfish could listen the song,
Only he could see the Precious,
He comes there everyday,
Talk for hours to the Creature
locked in a wide antre with one small window
Deep, deep under the water
She loves herself, and her tail,
The sole source of light in Dark__
She can, but won’t break the lock,
For the light will vanish
the moment she steps out of the antre
Dark will rule
And the animals, Ahh their lives…!!
No, she must stay there,
And sing to the pearls sleeping in the mollusks
A song of life and of hope
She must stay at the bottom,
And sing to the ones who listen
For the sake of theirs, & of her own
