green snake poked his head out of the bathtub drain
singing Christmas carols off key, singing a loud refrain
i saw a turtle when Cobra slithered down and away
bear stuck his paw through at the end of the day
i am in no hurry to take a warm relaxing bath now
imagining seeing an inverted muddy hoof of dairy cow
What newborn drinks a bathtub of milk each day?
Rhino?
No.
Elephant?
Huh-uh.
Dolphin?
No.
Camel?
Sorry.
Cow?

If you guessed Blue Whale please take a bow
Soaking in hot tub
bubbles disappear from sight
left in birthday suit
Start from you bathtub,
Next, sweet creams to rub
But skin first towel,
This handling quite well,
On one’s face powder
For praises louder…
Then, your clothes put on
Besides your slip-on,
Fast, good belt fasten
But you don’t this hasten
And skip a sewn hold,
As though one is old…
From your used bath tub
To your enthused club
Some food better grub
Against a hubbub…
In a vulgar club
They do eaters snub.
Red baptism
Crown, forehead, mouth, heart
Were released
Were redeemed
I bathed in living water
White towel wore me
Filled my bathtub with broken shards
and rested for a while
and as i rose
and flesh and skin
was torn from bod
I don't believe in gods
Admire religion from a distance
Hope for something pure
but something
deep inside
is not there
and i can't
feel
the numb
The rules mean i could not put my full title
so this is it below

If you continue
with this insane choice
and just take the step that you fear
I follow no rules that i know
so verses
may change the mood
and words can change the mind

i just go with the flow
low in the darkened hollow
Mom could you please
warm these waters up
Yo ho ho
and a tub full of suds
Pirates in the making
on their personal high sea
Don't dare pull the plug
on this Caribbean dream
There's treasure they know
in the depths down below
They saw it when it sank
in mid bathtime flow
Send the divers in
to this porcelain surf
Holding their breath as long as they can
for all they are worth
They'll come away from this
if nothing else, clean
Where in tomorrow night's bath
they'll set sail once again
A couple muddy bathtub buddies
sailing on a sea of suds
In a life filled with adventure
because there's never enough
Sitting happy in my bathtub
Sailing my boat
Smoothly between and around my kneecaps
When she stepped in and capsized me
bathtub so happy
the pregnant ladies swimming
their wombs bulging out

It seems like the only place I can get any peace from her is in the bathroom where I can lock the door sit in the tub and think. Maybe I'm not the most considerate of husbands but I don't care what she says I am not a Dick Head.
Maurice Yvonne
I walk into the bathroom
And what do I see?
A pretty gray cat
Staring up at me.
He's sitting in the bathtub
Pretty as you please,
Waiting for someone
To come and meet his needs.
He wants a drink of water
From the faucet in the tub,
But there's no water flowing
At this feline refreshment pub.
He stares at me as if to say,
"I know you know what to do.
Just turn that big round knobby thing,
And the water will come through."
And so I read his kitty mind,
And I turn that knobby thing.
Sure enough the water comes
For Butch kitty to drink.
He laps the water thirstily
Until he wants no more,
Then he shakes the water off his paws
And flees quickly out the door.
Now I don't mind indulging him,
Or being wrapped around his paws,
But I wish that when he'd drunk enough
He'd learn to turn it off!
(This was my first cat and he truly had me wrapped around his paws. Sadly, he died two and a half years ago and I still miss him very much.)
