WTC Postman Pat

Another hallowed arrow from his quivers

One of cricket’s greatest shiver givers

Coursing down your spine like rivers

Fine line..never dithers as slivers

Of adversaries hopes on the ropes..withers

Tipples tickle our livers

The latest tropes of how

Somehow…anyhow won’t kowtow

Postman Pat delivers

Matinee idol looks tease

Record books hooks please

Finds batters crannies &

Nooks with such ease

Impeccable length…metronomic

Chin music chagrin

Such strength..astronomic

Gift of getting the ball to lift

Chronic bounce…hedonic

With his swag bag of quicks tricks

Name on the adored hall of fame

Lords boards with six..another Cummins elite fix

Beat Bob Willis’s record tome of the best

Test figures for a captain at cricket’s home..

Yep..yet another done like a kipper

By this chipper ripper skipper

Who’s not found wanting

His chiselled jaw..up there for sure

With the mean hardcore

Ponting or Waugh

As the best Test baggie green

Top draw Captain (not woke...just a better bloke) seen on screen

Or that’s maybe ever been

Sleeping Beauty Galaxy

Sleeping Beauty tosses and turns
as in a course contrary churns
galactic realm outside the heart
where further spatial spying smart
more astronomic savvy learns.

While telescopic eye sojourns
through visionary sight discerns,
the fairy talers too impart
Sleeping Beauty.

Enlightenment delusion spurns.
As mortal flame’s desiring burns,
in slumbered dreams our paths we chart
and strive to craft a living art.
Oh when will I awaken, yearns
Sleeping Beauty?

~ Harley White

The poem is in the form of a rondeau…

Some sources of inspiration were the following…

Black Eye Galaxy (Wikipedia)…

M64: The Sleeping Beauty Galaxy (APOD)…
Explanation: The Sleeping Beauty galaxy may appear peaceful at first sight but it is actually tossing and turning. In an unexpected twist, recent observations have shown that the gas in the outer regions of this photogenic spiral is rotating in the opposite direction from all of the stars! The fascinating internal motions of M64, also cataloged as NGC 4826, are thought to be the result of a collision between a small galaxy and a large galaxy where the resultant mix has not yet settled down.

That Wound

I'll leave my heart here
With muted whispers,buried sunshine
and arrow wounds

I can still feel the astronomic breeze in my
head; desperate.gentle.

Where do I find my place?
Among those endless daydreams and 90s portraits
Who am I being among them?
A warrior queen? or a thirsty ached soldier?

I'll leave my heart here
With cheeky scars, and with silly grin

They all know it
They all know the way it hurts
Still, beyond and above anything
They knows
I've got moonlight above me,and
fresh roses by my side

Celestial jewel of eye delight
treasure from God Who grants faith’s sight
beauteously radiant, ceaselessly bright
firmament wonder driving astronomic flight
galaxy ornament mystifying constellation gazers’ might
such is my stellar power, reaching from outer space height ---
--- illumining your poetic muse against visual blight!

As a great light* with valued luminescence
star am I affecting solar system’s iridescence
created out of the Lord’s omnipotence and omniscience
from me plants get chlorophyll for nutritious essence
being the sun: electricity source, force of industrial excellence…
such is my triumphant solar experience midst life rays' influence ---
--- sharing with you heaven’s opulence!

*Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Traveler of Thoughts

TRAVELER OF THOUGHTS

I am a traveler of thoughts,
Geography map of a soul,
Limitless huge continent,
Canning astronomic orb,
Tireless flowing ocean
of wits, thrills and muse
greater than the sun, moon & 8 planets.
I am a traveler of thoughts,
Endowment drenched me
until my universe become condensed.
Adulation doesn't fuel my tank
Cos I'm nothing to no one
but everything to everyone.
I am a traveler of thoughts.

It's a Small World

In our realm an ant would be gigantic,
A grain of sand, a monolith in size,
One teardrop seem as vast as the Atlantic
And blades of grass appear to reach the skies.

Our tiny quantum world is subatomic
Though physicists would say we make a mark,
We permeate in numbers astronomic
Yet I am but a nanoscopic quark. *

* Quarks are elementary particles of matter that are smaller than protons or neutrons. They are the smallest particles we have come across in our scientific endeavours.

Today I Feel Tomorrow I Forget

There's a depression running along with my blood today,
sadness, weakness, motionless... continuous.
The fire burns my skin from inside as I try to lighten up my mood - but the fire won't stay,
pain, sorrow, silence... ludicrous.

I acknowledge my hormones I can do nothing about,
I try to think - I beg to differ - I once again pray.
For, although it's mine, I want to execute same, will it work? I doubt,
May I forget the execution tomorrow - may that thought flow away?

Should I - may I - then again will I?
It's mine - it's a part of me - my definition and character of heart,
would I have the strength to watch those hormones of me die?
I do not know, nor do I know - where do I start?

Twenty four long hours I needed to go,
Thoughts, ideas, new possible outcomes... forgotten.
I am half way threw, still I do not know.
These astronomic, yet useless, dispute with myself, rotten.

No solution , no answer, only this depression running along,
I will leave it - I will accept it - for today I am who I am.
I will pray - I will beg to differ tomorrow - I will wish tomorrow strong,
I will sleep tonight - tomorrow forget - create a knew me, myself, and I fan.

Explaining the Triple-Wowsa To You Amazing Poets

This reader is aware, that fall is in the air.
Astronomic poems, are simply everywhere.
So don't be surprised
If your words are apprised
By a "triple-wowsa" I left there.

In the comment section under your work,
My "triple-wowsas" do often lurk.
My highest praise,
To express my amaze
A duty which I will not shirk.

I wish I could write a glowing review
With some jargon both bright and new,
But I'm just a guy
With only one eye
So I hope "triple-wowsa" will do.

You may think I'm crazy
And a little bit lazy
But I'm sincere
Way over here
Triple-wowsas are never hazy.

A Venomous Silkworm

I despise these degrees of freedom

Said the neo Diderot and the archaic David

I envy the liveliness of the termites

Said the neo Valimiki and the primordial Achilles

How could they embrace a poetic saint in trance

Wondered the venomous Rama and the Venerable Lama

Who saw the torrid life a prince and the princess

Wicked was the Neanderthal Freudian and Digital Darwin

Over and above my sheaths

An albatross is savaged and an ancient mariner is saved

These pearls of wisdom and crowded imaginations

They strike digits and cubits of wealth in times of diarrhea

Astral mathematics, astralopithicus, astronomic gaze

They were the gargantuan invaders of the Gregorian calender

Rest is known to us, first word is born as a worm hole

No one need to be a snake charmer or a sand miner to unravel the lantern under the rooftop

Premium MemberBlue Sky Thinking

Some people say the sky’s not really blue
And the moon was never made of green cheese,
That Clangers and their whistling is a myth
And pocket money doesn’t grow on trees.

But tell a child the sky isn’t blue,
That the moon isn’t really made of cheese,
Or say the Clangers never make a sound
And watch how childhood withers in the breeze.

The sky is full of wonder and we know
The astronomic miracles of space,
The moon is rock and Clangers don’t exist
But does this really have to be the case?

So for a child the sky is azure blue,
Wallace and Gromit proved the moon is cheese,
The Clangers whistle happily all day
And pocket money really grows on trees.

I tried to touch the sky but failed to find
A barrier high above beside the moon.
I found that space is everywhere and so
The means to travel there can’t come too soon.

For somewhere else I know the sky is blue
And stars are diamonds in a velvet sky,
A planet full of Clangers does exist
And childhood magic lives to make reply.

Too soon reality will take its toll
When adult life will burden me and you,
A gentle fairytale will ease the pain
If you believe the sky is really blue.
