Assignation Poems | Examples

Premium MemberWhen Dinner Was Late

Yes I was pissed
when you hissed
because dinner was late
and you had a date
with someone in your rotation.
Really it's an assignation.
I am well aware,
so just go comb your hair,
and don't come home
with lipstick on your collar
smelling like cheap dollar-
store perfume.

Soft baby's breath in prim nosegay
abandoned in a parking bay.
A whispered message left behind;
perhaps a gesture was declined?
An assignation underway?

Meet me, my dear, floor three, bay A;
I'll leave you there a small bouquet;
you know which, your favorite kind,
soft baby's breath.

Lovers, perhaps, the kind that stray,
who have to meet this secret way?
Upon the spray, a note thus signed;
my love for you is unconfined
I'll prove, with buds, I leave each day
soft baby's breath.

Building a Friendship First

Blossoming romance
Amorously so
Consumes daily thoughts
Visions manifest
Your luscious lips tempt
Perhaps kiss or two
Eagerly texting
Device ways and means
For assignation
Exploring our minds
In carnal desires
To arouse senses
Crossing boundaries
Once hereto unknown
So let us step back
To our comfort zone
Have light hearted fun
Building a friendship
A brick at a time

Premium MemberO Righteous Me

Whores of Babylon, I breathe amongst you everyday
On city streets, in country lanes, along lone alleyways
Selling illegal merchandise, cheap, tainted, unrefined
Tempting this incognito angel, back into my own kind

Dens of iniquity, hedonistic programs, carnal pleasure
Take me to your pimp, I’ve got a wallet full of treasure
Bring good gear, Snow White, not crude crystal meth
Tonight I’m getting wasted, to within one inch of death

Seedy massage parlors, proffering rubdowns, with oils
This upstanding citizen, on tables of unembellished soil
Licking toads back, my penchant, as I pray to the gods
Yapping like a puppy, choke chained, spanked with rods

Cesspools of assignation, motel rooms, knocking shops
Gonna keep banging up, til my veins collapse from shock
Tomorrow chase the dragon, before addressing a church
Sermons of fire and brimstone, damning you, is my purge.

In an age of constant movement,
nothing is more urgent than sitting still.

SEATING ASSIGNATION

The pick ax and the magazine it’s true,
The toilet bowl so white it’s often blue.
               Too soft paper litters.
     Chafe is not for quitters.
The bottomless vortex, a witch’s brew.

Viola

In the first day of the month of rain
She blushed forth from the earth
Beneath the verdant canopies
Of her sylvan homestead

Every dawn, she smiled at the sun
Beaming at her idol’s daily passage
Posing in perfect stillness
Until her face fell with the day

As the night’s veil unfolded
Her eyes skywards turned to hear
The beckoning voices of the singing stars
And the sighs of the downcast moon

For many cycles she thus stood
A green youth at first, reserved and demure
Always precocious, ever apprehensive
To find her footing beneath a towering sky

Finally she made her wardrobe
And adorned a fair dress of aubergine
Her soft feet ensconced in earthy shoes
With wild hair bearing a light perfume

She thought herself too much
And denied the multitude of pests
Or the buzzing overtures of many suitors
To stay alone within a blooming world

At last he stumbled and found her
Gently plucking her roots from the soil
Softly placing her in a glass vase
As a gift for his assignation

When the two lovers had left
She alone remained at the windowsill
To contemplate her new milieu
And smile at the sun again

Doctors of Spin Couplet
(An opinion)
By: Miracle Man
10-23-2018

Most journalists today are doctors of spin,
The ratings race often leads to others chagrin.

A negative brush paints our news each day,
Some go too far and from truth they stray.

Some Cable News Channels cause me to scoff,
Liberal slanted stations seek an ulterior payoff.

Un-factual reporting helps ruin a reputation,
And hear say stories are without foundation.

Character assignation is often their sole intent,
And wrong can’t be undone once words are spent.

Premium MemberPriority Time

Our days are planned to the minute
Careers, children... we finesse all of it
Last anniversary was surreptitious
I find this troublesome and precarious

We keep gallivanting - acting nonchalant
Time to acquiesce - it's not what I want
When we attempt to set time aside for us
Too much Interference - too much fuss

Your texts today, I have to say, oh so hot
Schedules can be rearranged, can they not?
Your idea to rendezvous is certainly unique
A night of ecstasy is exactly what we need

You do logistics - I'll do administration
Make it a weekend - priority assignation

The Assignation

I am glad to find you pretty maiden
But should your father share otherwise
I have a place of meeting, hidden
Lest our young love dies

I have found a place of meeting
Come my love, but sneak
I shall surely be in waiting
Your dad not to know, the door’s not to shriek

We shall meet in haste
Thus, thus and not otherwise
Time, we are not to waste
Till our freedom grows in size

I shall stay for you there, I shall not fail
Promise to meet me, in that hollow vale.

Paris Gulls

The scent of oceans, a certain coolness
of wind over water wanders these city streets
where oleander blooms wickedly
in the ruby assignation of the heart.
An occosional grayed gull, bonded to the Seine,

grown fat with pigeons and lazy for the river
forgets raw Novembers he owned the coast,
forgets the dangerous face of the sea after storms:
her width cut arrow straight at the horizon,
ragged at the shore, like lace to granite.

Standing on the Pont de l'Alma, watching one
lone expatriate gull scan the surface
of this fabled river that travels seaward
to Le Havre, I remember
colonies of gulls, how they plotted

their exodus across our island to the harbor,
or on the pinnacles of the fort, where
no invaders except sea birds come,
seeking shelter from their free lives as if
freedom is too much to bear sometimes,

drawing with their terrible focus
a telegraphy of sharp cries, wings dipping
into the morning harvest of seaweed and shell
among the hooves of wild horses,
the old bones of sailers.

Assignation To Annihilation

A poetic collaboration between Mother and son

By Jordan Adorno and Courtney Dyer

So cold, concrete heart! Absent soul, unable to love.

Your warm tears only leave me frozen.

Ice flows through your veins

Frosty demeanor, feeding off the vulnerable!

Like a sadistic vampire, draining the energy of naive souls, doomed to sink into
your abyss.

Your fangs of poison limit my days as your words ravish my soul.

Everything you touch crumbles, I witness as you punch the blood-stained rattle, and
I fall into a loveless void.

Barren of empathy, your actions bring me nothing but hostility.

Tell me again the definition of bliss.

For in this wretched life this fact I have missed

I imagine dying, naked in the snow; you dare not to see

I endeavor in wanderlust, wanting courage to flee.

Yet I am no longer your snow queen; I am fearful and icy.

You offer me no benevolence, solace, or a trace of a happy sensation.

Now I hold my garnished gun, fantasizing of the bloodbath of your obliteration.
