Frightening silence pervaded
Swelling of ground here and there
A tree adjacent the gate with a GHOSTLY stature
Unfurling a dark blanket by its broad canopy
Even birds don’t like to perch in the GODFORSAKEN place.
Except the bulging- eyed owl
A silent witness for GRIEF-STRICKEN hearts
The fibre art of GOSSAMER aglow in the sunlight
Floating gently like sailcloth
On the gates, they’re like murals of pinwheel flowers.
No gusts or downpours can annihilate it.
The gates are half-shut.
When they are fully opened,
Macabre music of GROANING erupts from the coarsened hinges.
Scent of geosmin from a freshly dug GRAVE
The tired soul along with the retired corpse
Comes again through the terminal gate.

Pain hits us like a bullet
Suffocating us with every few breaths we take
Hit me with rock
Poison my roots
Burn me to ashes
But like a phoenix I will rise
Rise from the crippling pain of the burning ashes around me
I will rise like the sun does every
Shoot your bullets
Try to annihilate me with every curse you have
But I will rise rise rise until the sun stops to rise

Don't you understand what I'm trying to say
Can't you feel the fears I'm feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there's no runnin' away
There'll be no one to save with the world in a grave
Take a look around you boy, it's bound to scare you, boy
From “Eve of Destruction” by Barry McGuire
Can We Avoid It?
The genie is out of the bottle.
It cannot be put back.
The Doomsday Clock is closer to midnight.
Iran is closer to the bomb.
“Death to America and Israel”
Israel can retaliate in kind.
India and Pakistan
Can annihilate each other
With mushroom clouds of death.
The incompetent Russian military
Continues to stumble and fall
Putin now rattles his nuclear sword.
Once the button is pushed
There is no running away
No one will be left to save
Let us fervently pray we can avoid it!

Tapeworms
Tapeworms really just want to
join the army, do a
human Number two, talk to
moss about
the possibility of
sugar cube home design, make car horn sounds, and
annihilate
shade cloths.

As life’s storms get stronger,
Hold hands together in prayer;
No catastrophes can annihilate us,
If our top foundation is Jesus;
If we lift our tough brotherhood,
Among us builds a stone-walled abode.

Buck off a twenty; should twenty
buckshots mean nineteen too many?
Extinguished abruptly,
with Godspeed so mighty,
effortlessly shattered,
sending molars afar.
So far they say a
shard was found in
the neighbor's yard.
Found someone at the bar.
Didn't want to get in the car.
Pray tell, that didn't get far.
I arrive at the walkway;
I push past a pause, just
I can't stand until
standing right side up,
I saw this rerun show.
Chest cavity. Ghost town captivity
to gesture from behind,
telling, "They were scared."
Startled, so too are we.
Starting up again, approached
closer with a tender voice.
Damn! Blasted fantasy poaching,
encroaching as the situation
abused the determination. In
determination abused, saw
and became amused.
Morals annihilate as
fury eradicates saving grace.
Roof off mouth demonstrates a
desperate need to escape.
Erupting out, fountain snatch;
flung, streamers are strung
about—it's raining.
However, it had ended
before
any ringing got started.
Destroy the annoyance so
they
can bury a face,
not only a body.
At least...

some survivors attempt to annihilate their tragic past
squelching their worst memories
slaying glimpses of hurt as fiercely as they can
eradicating smells and sights that remind them of their abuse
others cannot recall their childhoods at all
having successfully erased it from their memories
so they can tolerate their life

Honest salesman is a semi-oxymoron
Just like an honest politician
Please do not laugh, all lawyers or
Accountants are not crooks. When the door
Is wide open a mouse, a rat, a cockroach
Would me more than happy to approach
Some politicians have tried to be better
And more credible. Some are men/women of honor
However, others are pathological liars
They are professionals who behave like traitors
They think that the "truth is not the truth". They're confused
Lies are lies. Dogs are dogs. Politicians play politics
Call the exterminators to annihilate the ticks
Liars always ignore the truth. Please, let's not mused
In politics, it is probably not easy to be too honest
Because so much is involved. Let's chase the pests
The corrupt politicians who are ruining everything
And destroying the dream. Let them flee. Let's ring
The bells. Not all politicians are crooked or criminals
That's true. I am not lying, just check the election polls.

Tying stone in a shaft to crack a nut there must have been cheer
Now,hitting by projectile thousands mile apart in ambience of fear
Imagine the warmth in skin when they sewed two pieces together
Now we grief over burnt skin through grinades and trigger pulled over
There must have been alliance among beings when they first articulated words
Heart bleeds when disparity in language is causing people to pull swords
How happy they must be when seeds sprouted in organized farming
Mother earth struggling to feed her childrens situation is alarming.
The despair among mothers waving farewell when there was pernicious plague
As if diseases are not enough to annihilate there are piles of uranium on sell.

the wind blew in from the west, I felt it in my breast.
colder than the wind from the east, like a witch’s kiss.
Hallows Eve! A jack-o-lantern lisped, it sounded like a hiss.
She is on her way, whispered another, maybe Godmother.
Queen gray cat, a ghoul more dangerous than a black one
Mother of October sky who would annihilate the night’s fun.
She is coming! An oak tree warned, hiding the leaf he had left.
Gray Cat arrived on the back of a wildebeest named Cleft.
It was as if the night had gone black, the stars were gone.
Moon was hiding, right? Asked my cousin Shawn.
Let me finish, I urged her, it’s my turn to speak.
But she had to ruin my story by interrupting at its peak.

Indonesia Pearl, queen of the Pink Rose Frogs
Intimidated all the rest of us including barnyard hogs.
She had a trusty spear and a poison blow gun too.
She would annihilate armies of others, before she was through.
She was a stealthy fighter, and marvelous at camouflage.
She would be upon you before you could flinch, scream or dodge.
She hung out in the Amazon, scaring cobras and alligators too.
She had a ruthless streak, there was nothing she would never do.

The Vikings battle cry was ferocious and ear piercing.
Autumn woman applied her paints as she heard them enter her forest.
She was ready to rip them from stern to stem.
The gods were on her side, she felt her power animals gearing up.
Elk gave her a nod, raccoon took his place beside the worn-out oak stump.
Hawk and raven flew in, at the ready.
Autumn woman knew the Vikings would be
Surprised.
Few armies can annihilate a ferocious army.
But she and her animals could and often did.
She silently crept through the forest,
Killing them one by one.

A nest of wild dragon invaders! The ferocious nasty warrior said.
We have to annihilate them, make sure they are dead.
What are they? The king asked, when they sounded the alarm.
His daughter, Vee Vee as hiding them in a cave, keeping them warm.
The army looked left, upwards, down in the ground, and due right.
They could not find those dragons, though they looked through the night.
The mama dragon returned to find her babies as safe as could be.
She was invited to the castle to sup cranberry juice with Princess Vee Vee.

You can bleed me blind,
execute my eyes,
victimize my vision,
immolate my imagery,
nullify my name,
suppress me into silence,
slaughter my soul,
execute my ego,
slay my spirit,
veil my verses,
poison my prose,
annihilate my alliterations,
ravage my rhymes,
waste my words,
vaporize my vocabulary,
halt my heartbeats,
but you will never
pause my poetry
