Premium Member Across Time and Hope

On this Independence Day

in Delhi, flags whisper.

The march continues;

dawn keeps the song,

hands linked

across time and hope.

Premium Member The Cats Across the Street

Mommy cat and four kittens
oops, neighbor ran over Mittens
Now four cats still alive
another ran over three survive
Three cats left across the street
since two ran over becoming road meat
Mommy cat with her kittens two
come to my yard wanting food
Get my dogs in a barking mood
that mommy cat and her two dudes
These three cats with the Nine Life Jive
look both ways while crossing street still alive
The street scored two victims could be more
if the cats cross street with pedal floored
Life is fragile times we cry
nothing so sad as when a kitten dies
But we must be strong and carry on
for those three cats won't leave my lawn
Start the Truck Mike...

Echoes of Eternity

Through shifting sands and
ticking gears,
I traced your shadow down
the years.
Past falling stars and velvet skies,
To seek the welcome of your
eyes.

I vaulted centuries of stone,
A restless traveler, worlds
alone,
Guided by a timeless spark,
A burning compass in the
dark.

For what are epochs, swift or
slow,
When all my paths are
mapped to you?
A thousand lifetimes carved
in sand,
Just for the chance to hold
your hand.

Premium Member We go across my swiss cheese moon

presently flying over
holes, cheese and all,
where eagles don’t need wind
to show off

That is my moon up there
It always is
the perfect version of myself

Encore!
Time to build character!

“We are sleeping underneath
the same big sky”

While we are at it:
“I’ll get the joy
of rediscovering you”

That love could be
that moon

I could be
that light-hearted astronaut
who couldn’t weigh
his aspirations

He jumped over the holes
of the moon

Across the screen

Across the screen voices once unseen
From laughter to love
Once only a dream
Distance fades with just one key
Opening doors as easy as fixing a seam
A student in Azerbaijan
And one sat next to me
One across oceans and seas
Not a quick drive, no meeting for dinner tonight
Different languages fill the sky
Different cultures, different replies
One watches sunrise paint the hills
One is telling me how to fly
A word is spoken, repeated twice
A careful smile follows a mistake
What once seemed strange becomes familiar
With every lesson that we take
Maps hang quiet on the wall
Borders drawn in ink and time
Yet every class reminds me
The world is large and small
ocean divided, but screen United

Premium Member Adrift Across The World

Adrift across the world,
I dreamt of black waters.
Flat sea from long ago.
Journey inside my mind,
choppers pick up that flow.

Adrift across the world,
opaque lisp on high tide.
Can’t quite get it all out,
I’m bitterly hindered.
A princess with a pout.

Adrift across the world,
calling from my belfry.
An ache inside my throat
is so raw with shouting.
It’s best not to emote.

Adrift across the world,
strange stories come alive.
Murky surf pulls me in,
every forgotten land
chooses my voice again.

Premium Member Seeing the Monk Across to the Other Shore

By Phan Tan Hai

Holding his alms bowl, the monk walks on,
his robe stitched from clouds across the sky;
we send him back to the mountain corner—
how many partings in a single life.

Standing, sitting—all for the people,
his chest still aching from blades once struck;
tears flooding the three realms,
Avalokitesvara embodied in his form.

A time he left, burdened with sorrow,
feet weary along both banks of the Ganges;
turning back, he awakened as Minh Trí,
his hair falling like dust along the road.

— For my friend Nguyen Cong Bang,
later a Theravada monk with the Dharma name Minh Tri.

Grace, With One Hand - moving across a water

This hand, and its motion;
Slow and dreamy.
Alone, fallen in love with.
Not but it see.

Still as it keeps, swept of
As blown, waft-sized
Holds a fount, of my own face
What's mesmerized!

AB - from across a line of school desks

Not lost, as though what shocks for
Lightning's blinding flash
In one's rightful mind
To then be found yet
As struck by, and this far gone
With reason melted!

That of heart-wick's rousing up
Gazed on, gazes back
The determining factor.
Brave to recollect!
Angel's, as etheric-charged
Girl's facial effect.

Premium Member Across Bloody Fields

Across Bloody Fields
Green to red
Soldiers of sacrifice
Sharpened blades under the rain
Enemies at war hiding in the shade
Blood rain
Another war in vain
Tanks bull-dozing
Smoky air, bombs killing
Skies flooded, ending lives
Boots marching forward
Taking death orders
Brothers suffering for what
Leaders of war
Letters of tears sent home
Things our eyes should never see
Ink of scarlet
What is the meaning of all of this
Leaders of conflict
After-math
Names laid to rest
Another generation for their replacement
A revolving door
Another useless war
Silence in the air
Peace nowhere to be found

Premium Member Across the pond

London fog is well renowned.
Tourists flock in droves to see it.
Time permitting, the Big Ben.

Premium Member Authorities

Can’t get enough of power they achieve
By thorough care about our security
They want us, little people, to believe
That their business is of our responsibility
They transferred all the services to AI
They claim that travel is a privilege to earn
I’m sure it is, my sweet authorities, that’s why
I’m globally homebound at your concern
I start forgetting where exactly have I been
in recent times, apart of Spar and other market
across the road, - at home I shrunk inside my skin
My rights are swiped under the worn red carpet
AI police tracks what I write online
How cheerful is my stuff, how well it fits
To their standards, that I should consider mine
I follow rules designed by artificial wits
Come if you are a human, come to talk
Let’s be like anyone we didn’t care to know
We may discuss whatever topics, by the walk
Across the road and back, on trampled snow.
