Love is sometimes subtle
like a dance across the moon
or a cool evening’s breeze lit by stars.
We smile, and then we turn away-
these modest games we seem to play
like Venus calling silently to Mars.
“Come hither,” says a sultry look,
a statement that a lover took
as seed of an emotion meant to bloom.
And if, by chance, we find romance
together we may choose to dance
a joyful pirouette across the moon.
i need to know what's going on
we're barren over here, yet over there
look at them smugly reading the NEWS
'can you throw one over pal?'
he pretends not to hear me
and looks down the platform
he's pretending to see if his train is about to
arrive, thomas and friends, and it won't be
here soon, so wind it in
i give up and wonder why
platform 1, surely the pinnacle,
has been abandoned of any recreation
although next to my son
is a miniscule glass bottle of whisky
which implies someone was having fun without me there
has peace been achieved?
has the new plastic waste initiative justified government intervention?
how many wickets do we need this morning?
i yell these at the man over on platform 2
i am then taken away
and hope to be a headline in the morning
Disturbed by the interruptions
He would be disrupted by my
Skill
Thrill of collaboration
When ones partners are
Determined and real
In that self satisfaction
If achieving a goal
What's in it for me
Ain't gonna work cause
We are not in control
Tallow shall disguise the
Earthy taste of the ostrich
and garlic and onions
Shall compliment it's already
beefy taste
the mushrooms and wines shall
Subdue the gameness
and crumbled bacon shall
Enhance it's taste
Cerleies and salts
With sun-dried peppers and
Sun-dried tomato's shall
Crust the external show'd
Display
We shall cheer with wines that
are appropriate and garnish
Shall accompany the display!
An anchovies and lemon sweet
caper sauce was an alternative
To the cowboy gravy show
I adored them both
But wanted the
Wagyu burger
I longed and lusted for it
One of the lady body guards
Bought six burgers
Up to the room after
The ice cream and cake show
I knew her Friend from Canada
He had been a Bouncer at my
Club in lobster town Maine!
Hollywood thumped with disco
I danced to a
Slutty Opera Tune
I love my wife
Aria Concerto
She make love just
Likes she dances
I had to change
email addresses.
I couldn't keep up
with the alt accounts—
ten helpings
of the same subject.
you know they're automatic?
after you sign up
you have to go to settings,
unenroll—
seems like too much.
I'd miss
dopamine's dinner bell—
notifications.
Only to remember:
I was the commenter.
It's a rush
worth the risk—
a chance,
to re-visit myself,
dressed
in your jumper.
My cosmos collided with yours, a destined spin
You're the melody that completes my skin
In dreams, I see our eyes locking tight
The universe whispers 'he's yours, this love is right'
Our hearts are two guitars playing the same song
Beating for each other, where do we belong?
In this wild universe, I'm anchored to you
Every star up high says 'our love is true'
Your touch would be my rhythm, my missing rhyme
Forever with you would be my perfect time…
Every breath is your name, every pulse your fire
Miles disappear when my soul desires
You're the home my heart has been searching for
A constant ache, a love that's been waiting for...
Someone to love me back, to hold my hand
To receive the ocean of love I've saved for a lifetime - for you
Do you think you'll ever be mine, or am I loving alone?

***************
Flashing stars blush when caught—ignite
Through blue rock darts in sparkling light
"Across the universe"—swart crown
Pools of grief—waves of mirth are down
Scribes bid adieu in sapphire smoke
Spilling gold in a dying stroke
I doubt whether the sky still roused
The stars that once blazed and have doused
In a world where shadows stretch across asphalt streets,
the modern man searches for his soul among dazzling advertisements,
alienated, stripped of ancestral creativity,
transformed from a creator into a silent consumer,
his smile, a mask on a billboard,
bearing the pride of a scentless existence,
in a world where presence becomes absence,
and essence is lost among useless objects,
our souls are just echoes in empty boxes,
and in every perfect smile hides a silence,
a silent cry for meaning, for a rebirth,
but we are trapped in mazes of shiny packaging,
where time is measured in products and not in moments,
and we, prisoners of a prefabricated dream,
lose ourselves in reflections of a distorted reality,
seeking to find, in this deafening silence,
the answer to the question we've forgotten to ask,
in a universe where authenticity is a luxury,
and truth, just a distant dream we chase,
while we dance on the edge of a collective oblivion.
In the afterglow of your beautiful loving heart
lives a flower that blooms each and every day
Planted deep within, you are the great thou art
of my living soul's reveal, you are the way !
Dazzling me with brightness and effulgence
you are a glowing candle in the thick of night
With luminosity you touch on my resurgence
helping me revive, a long lost dormant light;
You are a gleam, a glint, a polished diamond stud
an opalescent being who grants prismatic hues
Seeded in your garden I know that I am loved
above all else, ... and it is I that you did choose
You are the afterglow of love's most precious gift,
the bridge across forever, that never goes adrift.
May we all be blessed to have heroes cross our paths
Those who help to make us who we are,
who set our spirits free
and thus…
We hope they all know who they are
and
how much their heroism meant to us.
Where is the sunlight's pleasantness
by time and space across it gets
to eye that's stretched (for here 'tmust stay)
to catch but glimpse of summer’s day?
Where is the fresh and tender blade
that winks from 'neath the husked shade—
now broken for to 'llow it's reach
beyond the dark but shattered breach?
Where is a hungry soul's desire
when met with self-made arms, like wire?
reaching, trying—still they hold
‘gainst every ‘ttempt to escape this this mold.
Can shadow run beyond it's mate
(so much as even hesitate)
when turning now,
another room to view?
No not at all, so tale is told
of life inside this broken mold,
else passers by but see
a shattered you.
For there to find:
The tatter'd eye
looks long to see but glimpse of sky—
of pleasantness, just there…
Across the way.
yet the
Autumn leaves are
still falling from
the naked trees
like a deck of
falling cards from
the magical hands
of the casino card dealer
flushing out
kings and queens
aces and spades
from the looking-glass mirror
are the frightened faces of
The Joker dancing
through the wind parade
until the next card shuffle
is played and somehow
we can only see
the broad flashes of light
red blue green
and a little bit of indigo
in between the gigantic
spinning roulette wheel
and behold the
synchronous flight of starlings
across the autumn blue sky
So I put my mask on and I start to pretend.
All that I know is right, you and I are one.
Like it or not, we're the same.
Rip my heart through my ribs.
When you pass by hearts start to race.
I'm so addicted it hurts.
What if the night sky was missing the moon?
When I look into your face, I see the eye of the storm.
As I watch you hopelessly.
This is who I am, I love you.
Yea, love me and we'll become one.
You don't need to cry, cause it's easy to die.
Face to face at the golden gates.
Will you take me or will I fade into the grave?
Take me across the rainbow.
Use that silver lining.
Through the lake.
You are the light guiding through the darkness.
In the blackened halls where silence wails,
Goya's specters tread their trails.
Dark whispers coil through the heavy air,
Haunted strokes of despair and despair.
A Saturn devours, his time undone,
His brittle hands eclipse the sun.
The Witches gather, their secrets deep,
While faint stars weep where shadows creep.
Across the stars, a melody soars,
Yearning hearts on celestial shores.
A lover's touch, a forbidden flame,
Burns bright through the void of shame.
The violins cry, the flutes reply,
A tragic waltz beneath the sky.
But in the depths of cosmic night,
Hope flickers faint, a fragile light.
Two worlds collide, both dark and grand,
A trembling brush, a guiding hand.
One paints despair, the other grace,
Yet both embrace the human face.
For in the end, through fear and fire,
Art and music lift us higher.
Where darkness reigns and starlight wanes,
We find the beauty in our pains.
The gentle ripples
Glistening in the stillness
Going with the flow
Ahh, what a beautiful, spectacular view
The seagulls are squawking, the ocean deep blue
The sand between toes is hot to the touch
But I pay it no notice, I love it so much
The smell of the air is fresh, crisp divine
I long to possess what I know isn't mine
The sound of the waves crashing into the shore
Is a sound I will cherish today evermore
The beams from the sun radiate my pale skin
Causing a fire to burn from within
A brisk summer breeze tantalizes my mind
I follow it's lead hoping treasures I'll find
A butterfly kiss, so tender and faint
Coaxing a story I'm yearning to paint
The softest of whispers echo out in the sea
My true love is calling, and waiting for thee
