Not Poems - Poems about Not

The day i came and went

For a while, I have been gone,
Not so much for I left my poetry in my stead,
So they read, so they remember...
Yet here I am, alive yet dead.

They look at me with eyes,
Eyes that made mine cry,
No hugs, no hellos, or a faint gladness--
For I am here, alive yet dead.

The house I lived in, now

Our Futuristic Past

Nephilim, a curious thing
Said to be Giants
Angels and Women bring
(Not Artificial Insemination)
But what if somehow this were all wrong
That the words were really different
When they sang that song
What if we change the word Giant
To mean Genius instead
Wouldn't that lead us to somewhere
Different than we were lead
And what if all along It were staring
Us

Pain for Pain

You say your sorry for offending me as if that can heal me as if that makes anything better
Too little to late
You ask for help because you’re scared but being in pain does not absolve you from your sins
You put me through the worst pain of my life so look at me when I

Strain

The in's and yarns of the third sight
Fellow humans fetched a yard
Pulled a Soviet scarf
It was golden enchanted
With real's of wheels spinning round and not, the balance is shaken.

The aim is not to blink fast
Inhale the axial, breath in sequence
Notify the brain's awaken mode
Straighten the sight not to be blindfolded
Foolish

70 Degrees in August

The white vinyl plastic skirting waves at me
There is a discarded orange peel
Halfway down the driveway
From a mailbox walk.
I stepped over it yesterday and smiled
thinking of Ryan.
He loves oranges.
There is a curly blonde little boy
Smiling at us over a baby gate.
Soon, we will make breakfast.
Dad is on the couch

Walter James Carter

Walter, James, and Carter

Little boys
Son,
Brother,
Son
One by one, my heart undone.
One is one (and a quarter) years tall,
Chocolate wisps that softly fall.
Forest hazel, bold and sly,
Wildfire laughter in his eye.
Two is two (well, almost there),
Golden curls of sunlit hair.
Eyes like ice, so pure, so true,
They freeze my heart and smile it blue.
Three is three (and a

Mother’s Nest

Feeling warm,
Mommy’s cold,
sense of duty,
Mommy stays,
First of four clouds,
She clears the sky,
So light can shine,
On the cloud she raised.

Bandaid

His face is pressed into my chest
"You need to get a bandaid"
I say. He has a cut on his finger.
"This is a bandaid
For a different wound"
He breathes warmly

Wilting

Pink snake in murky water
Feminine
Bite
scrapes face
The voices of my children in a video
In early August
I fear my memory is failing
But I am so young
Bruises riddle my knees
Who hurt me?
I walk through fog
Dayless daydream
Wilting

Porcelain Boy

Porcelain boy,
Hammer in fist,
Building walls-
Cracking, his face twists.
So pretty, so alone.
Storm cloud mind monsoons from his eyes
"I am not worth it" he screams
His concrete ribcage contains
A monster of fire forged shame.
This phase in life,
Smoke is wrapping around his face
Porcelain is hardening-
Porcelain is stained.
Repair, remind, revisit
Heal, hell, high.
No pain stains my lips
When I scream your name
Only

Premium MemberWhy Should I

Why should I live my life according to the rules of man? Why should I continue this lie? Even if I advise you not to worry about your life, you might simply respond,
"Why should I?"

Beautiful Lovely Nature

Bright colors can't be counted
Fantastic shapes and sizes,
The breeze is nice,
Singing birds,
Of the branches of the tree,
Which I sit underneath
The sky is clear,
Distant mountains towering,
I pondered about the many colorful pebbles-
Next to the valley where the water is not being here for weeks-
I took in my
