If I Close My Eyes
In twenty years I see a tranquil place,
where I am still and breezes are gentle;
and I can reflect, and the past- embrace,
I want to be deeply transcendental.
To get to this place I journey far,
through uncertainty and corridors curved;
and frozen emotions that leave a scar,
where this savaged life lived- can be observed.
I listen to the murmuring of the dead,
face immovable mountains and unfairness;
hit rock bottom hanging on by a thread,
and fight raging storms to find awareness.
My goal is to dwell in tranquility,
oh yes, that is a possibility!
