Poems
Confetti flutters the sky
A bride dressed in pearly white
Footprints pave bright virgin snow
Steps to her future
Love is a secret . . . Keep it
Love is a rose . . . Grow with it
Love is a mystery . . . Unfold it
Love is an adventure . . . Chance it
Love is beauty . . . Pamper it
Love is a song . . . Sing it
Love is a struggle . . . Deal with it
Love is sorrowful . . . Mourn with it
Love is a book . . . Renew it
Love is a fire inside . . . Never let it die
Where it starts and where it ends
It is not clear, not because it is questioned
But because it is the circle that blends
Two in one in a bond designed by heaven.
In gold, it forever shines
A symbol of everlasting love
A force most sublime
Granted within us from above.

I popped on to myspace
And what did I see
Mike and his girlfriend
Had gotten married
I knew she was pregnant
And he will soon deploy
Iraq is where he'll be
When finding out if it's girl or boy
A beautiful young lady
A wife, and soon to be a mom
I wish they weren't so far away
So I could help her a long
My son is a man of strength
He fights for us every day
May the "two" loves of his life
Guide him back home to stay
...and I'm gonna kick your butt if you don't call me after the honeymoon!
I love you all...
mom
Some evening few words pass between us.
You may be reading the paper or a new book,
And I may be planning a new lesson or writing a poem.
These are activities we could do in separate rooms,
Yet the void created when we're apart
Is too distracting.
Marriages last if ,both spouses remember,
to fight to save the marriage.
Not to fight to win a disagreement.
Love each other,make each other,
make a commitment to each other.
One can not love for two.
Like dancing,it just takes two to tango!
Two hearts become one
keep no secrets; they eat holes
in love’s rich fabric
Two hearts forever
no longer beating for self
one rhythm, in sync
For Linda-Marie and Ron
Through our wish
Through our goals
Through our done mean
Through a compliment decide by the garden
Minute having a coming --
Minute always passing, creating
A matter turn alive
We not confused reality came from mentality --
On goals for, married being us cute
Thou, through wish goals merged
of our mean
The garden the memories
Over the minutes coming
And always sort a matter
From reality, from mentally
Flying on the handle.
Though we have no expectations
we're committed to our love
as we stand upon life's altar
be for the Lord above
O blend us Lord together
'neath the heaven's and sun
each heart unto the other
'till we become as one
And in thy Mighty Power Lord
set angels 'round about
to seal our love forever
and to keep the world without
Then across the mighty heavens write
for all the world to see
all you have placed within our hearts
a loves that comes from thee
This ring means much to me,
Much more than my own finger.
The love in this wedding ring,
Will always and forever linger.
I love you more than myself,
I love you with all my heart.
I love you more than life itself,
I wish that we would never be apart.
The Great evergreen
Best represents our love,
Summer, winter, spring, and fall.
The only thing to stop us,
Is the great God above.
This ring is strong,
For it, I would lose my ring finger.
I'd wear it around my neck,
For the love, will always, and forever linger.
Overview
Inspirational wedding poetry gives couples a way to express not only affection, but also the courage, trust, and hope that support a shared life. It can suit many moments: a ceremony reading, a vow, a speech, a note exchanged before the celebration, or a message printed in a keepsake. The strongest pieces usually feel personal rather than grand. A small, truthful image—a hand found in a crowded room, light gathering at a window, two voices choosing the same direction—can carry more feeling than a string of sweeping promises.
When writing or selecting a poem, think about the people at its center and the tone they naturally share. Some couples will prefer quiet reassurance; others may want joy, humor, or a sense of adventure. Inspirational does not have to mean solemn. It simply means leaving listeners with something sustaining: confidence in love, gratitude for the present, and openness to the life still unfolding.
Meaning and Symbolism
In wedding poetry, inspiration often symbolizes the strength a relationship awakens in each person. The beloved is not presented as a rescuer or a perfect answer, but as a companion whose presence encourages honesty, growth, and brave choices. Images of light can suggest clarity or renewed hope; open doors may represent possibility; roots and branches can hold the balance between stability and change. Movement—walking, sailing, or turning toward a horizon—can express a future shaped together.
These symbols work best when grounded in the couple’s actual character and experience. An inspirational poem may also honor the support of family, friends, or community without assuming any single ceremony style or belief. Its central meaning is affirmation: love can become a daily source of purpose, resilience, and generous attention.
Wedding Poem Writing Ideas
- Begin with a turning point: Describe a moment when the relationship helped one or both partners see life differently.
- Make hope specific: Replace broad wishes with a clear image of the future, such as a welcoming kitchen, an unfinished map, or a garden tended together.
- Honor individual growth: Show how each person encourages the other without suggesting that either partner is incomplete alone.
- Build around an active promise: Choose a verb such as listen, learn, protect, or begin, then repeat or develop it throughout the poem.
- Include ordinary courage: Write about the patience, humor, forgiveness, and attention that help love endure beyond the wedding day.
- End with possibility: Close on an open, forward-looking image rather than trying to predict every part of the couple’s future.
Sample Wedding Poem Lines
We bring our separate mornings into one widening light.
Your faith in me gives tomorrow a steadier name.
Let our promises be practiced in the ordinary hours.
Together, we will make room for wonder and for change.
May courage keep our love awake when certainty grows thin.
