Few Words

Some evening few words pass between us.
You may be reading the paper or a new book,
And I may be planning a new lesson or writing a poem.

These are activities we could do in separate rooms,
Yet the void created when we're apart

Is too distracting.

No need for words, just the presence would do...delightful and true. Always, Annalise

Ahh...I like this!! This is exactly the way it is....so often no words need to be said...just knowing someone is there is enough. :)
