Contest Description

Hi soupers.. we have an experience, reflection or a feeling we keep to ourselves uttered NOT as words can’t seem to give these personal imprints a VOICE…now is your chance to convey it—the inexpressible--whether this be an observation, private insight, unsaid emotion.

-------------

Just a thought  from famed poet, Robert Penn Warren:

Long ago, in Kentucky, I , a boy stood

By a dirt road, in first dark, and heard

The great geese hoot northward.

I could not see them, there being no moon

And the stars , sparse, I heard them.

I didn’t know what was happening in my heart..

  • From Anne Sexton:

It's peeling now, age has got it,
a kind of cancer of the background
and also in the assorted features.
It's like a rotten flag or a vegetable

from the refrigerator, pocked with mold.
I am aging without sound,
into darkness, darkness.
