Contest Description
What to Submit?
1. One new haiku poem, nature themed about the ocean, lake or river. One of these words must be in your poem.
2. Title: lower case and the subject your poem is about. Ex: ocean
3. 5 7 5 syllable counts and in that order.
4. All lower case letters ( this includes the letter i).
5. No religious themes or human emotions.
You may add pics, illustrations but I am not able to see them when judging.
Please use howmanysyllables or PS syllable counter to check your poems.
One poem only, poems written before 7/23/26 will not be considered for placement.
No names on poems.
Prizes
There will be multiple placements.
Preparing Your Entry
Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts.
English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
A Note to Poetry Contestants
You are welcome to enter this contest, whether or not you won a prize in one of my previous contests.
