I didn't start writing poetry until 2023. I had written a few songs and I guess that's how I got started. I've always wanted to be a writer... because I enjoy reading so much. I consume at least one book per week. That and studying the Bible are my favorite pass times. I was ordained as a Non-denominational Christian minister in 2020.

I also play the ukulele a little, sing a little, love crafting, sewing, cooking, and any kind of art. I've been in childcare and early education for 30 years and have 2 of my own. My husband, Harvey, and I are blessed with a daughter, Rosie, now 18 years old! And our son, Hunter, who lives in Heaven.

The bible is the holy grail of prose and poetry and I always return to it for inspiration. That and Dr Seuss.

I've got a book somewhere that is about poetry in the scriptures. It is very deep in its explanation/s. Thanks for sharing this information with us. Sara K

Yes, great work and when you deep dive into different translations and look up in the original language as well as learn how poetry was done at that time, so interesting!

Indeed the beauty of The Bible is rich. Partial to the KJV myself, and while newer translations are an easier read, they lose some of the polish of the KJV. For example, take Proverbs chapter 7. This is one my favorite passages, but it sounds more 'cool' and refined in the KJV vs the newer translations.
