My Favorite Movies - What about you?

Blog Posted by Tim Ryerson: 10/10/2012 6:19:00 AM
I'm sure this has already been done but here we go anyway...
If I had my pick of any job, it would be a movie critic...what a way to make a living THAT would be! (My second pick would be a restaurant critic but that has absolutely nothing nothing to do with this blog)
So, any movie buffs out there?...I know my friends Carrie Richards and Andrea Dietrich are,
how about you?...No need for a long list like mine unless you feel so inclined...
Thanks!...Have fun!

Drama: The Deer Hunter
Comedy: Duck Soup (Marx Brothers)
Romantic Comedy: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Crime: In Cold Blood - Original 1967 version (still rated R)
Suspense: Deliverance
War: Patton
Sci-Fi: 2001: A Space Odyssey
Fantasy: Lord of the Rings (I read the books first!)
Horror: The Exorcist
Documentary: Woodstock 1969
Social Satire: The Graduate
Western: The Good the Bad and the Ugly
Holiday: It’s a Wonderful Life
All-time favorite movie: The Godfather, Pt. I

This list could go on and on but the blog would be too long...
Many thanks to Cyndi MacMillan for showing this computer dummy how to post a blog correctly!

Yes Cher!...2001 rocked did it not?...Many people found it tedious and boring but I read the book too (after the movie) so I understood the plot...I freely admit I'm a horror/blood & guts freak but I'm also VERY picky when it comes to what kind I like...

The commitments AWESOME But AWK, Interview with a Vampire was a disappointment to me (loved the books!) Another fave book, Clan of the Cave Bear was HORRIBLE as a movie, too. Encounters made me smile. Great movie.

I am so glad Cyndi taught you how to blog, Tim. Yes, you got ME pegged!! I do movie reviews at Facebook every week. The only one of yours on this list that I did not enjoy was Space Odyssey. It was just over my head and boring to me. Love all the others on your list. I would have to search thru all my old reviews to recall my faves in each of these categories, but one movie that would definitely be on my list is "american beauty" For me, that was a simply outstanding drama.
