Due to health issues Jack Ellison is calling it a day here on soup. He's been on soup for ten years now entertaining us with his sometimes bizarre limericks but he has written many serious poems too. I'll be sorry to see him go and I wish him well. He's just posted what looks like his final poem. Called THE TIME HAS COME. Tom.

Think it's about time to call it a day

Brain doesn't function in the same old way

Effect of my seizures

Good wishes my readers

It's been a magical ten years, so farewell I say

Tom, thanks for posting this blog entry. I have enjoyed Jack Ellison's grand sense of humor and his limericks ever since coming to Poetry Soup. I will greatly miss him, and I wish him the very best in the coming days, months, years. I hope he will come back, at least occasionally, and bless us with his good humor!
