Grains of Sand

We Live Day by Day
Hour by Hour
Minute by Minute
We Live
Our World is Unique
Connected
Unique

We are wrapped in
Companionship
Our granular Love
Our World is Unique
When the grains are altered
Our life is too

Now I see the world
Still Unique
But different
Not connected
Alone
All the players
Living Day by Day
Hour by Hour
Have Love
Companionship
Connected

The altered world
Is Lonely
All those grains of sand
Touching, But not for me

My connected Grain of Sand
Has left me
Passed into the portals of Time.

I live differently.
Now that my grain has left me.

I feel sad to read of your loved ones passing. The comparison to sand grains, perhaps grains of time, is an interesting metaphor. May you enjoy the warmth of summer this year.
