Embers

Embers

Embers waiting

I knew the embers
Would in time be owned

History has chosen
And they are mine alone

Others have memories
But mine are deep

Missing what
I choose to keep

Memories Flare
My fire burns hot

Missing what was
And now are not

Embers waiting
To flame once again

Emotion tears
And mostly pain

Reminds me
Of my lost touch

Reminds me
What I miss so much

Embers to keep
Not hard to reach

Embers hot
Missing what was
And now are not

Embers to keep
Together and forever
