I have one word of advice the tiny dragon admitted.
Hurry! Said the panda bear, to listening he was rarely committed.
Love, said the dragon. Love everyone – make them all your friend.
What about the grizzlies? Asked the panda. They hurt you in the end.
It does not matter the tiny dragon told his black and white friend.
Be so nice, that you would not be sad if this day your life did end.
Love the butterflies, the fish, the trash man, the trolls and amber tea.
Most of all, love conversations with friends, especially with me.
That girl has a promising future
Clearly shown in her sense of adventure
Sadly the sourbellies of our tradition
Pose many threats on her ambition
A world that prefers the misfortune of a male gender
Over the good fortune of a female gender
Can't appreciate the confluence of skills
Imbedded in that girl child that he kills
There are many tales of horrific imbalances
Orchestrated by men that form alliances
To cower that girl child with their sense of soured culture
In order to forfeit her sense of adventure
My word of advice for that girl child
She shouldn't accept the plots such men styled
If she ever desires to fulfill her dream
She should hold herself in high esteem
behold the window of opportunity
youth is when you make your dreams come true
time never to be squandered
there's an expiry date on dreams
do not miss out
find a way to make all dreams count
God forbid that I should offer a word of advice
On how one might make a mediocre poem sublime
Or to suggest that fewer words might as well suffice
Tell me once and you’ve no need to tell me twice.

Do not be full of yourself, Momma said,
Leave room in your self for those who love you
Whatever you do, do not be mislead
Someone will try to manipulate you
By telling you what they want you to do.
Remember, you must chart your own life course
Draw deep from within your inner sources
And do not forget those who love you most
Draw from inside strength that reinforces
But "to thine own self be true" is foremost.*
[*The quote is from Shakespeare's Hamlet,
Act 1, Scene 3.]
Leaving your wallet at home
Is not a great idea.
Being short of money
Also means short on beer.
