Premium MemberThe Unbroken Sun Osiris

Glory to her hands that stitched the green,
That sought the pieces of a love torn wide:
For her strong grief, a river spilling light:
For her sharp magic, beautiful and keen,
That found the fragments and refused to hide:
And knit his broken body back from night.

All things lost, scattered, shattered, and undone:
Whatever's broken (who can say why?):
She holds the pieces, breathes them into form:
She births the sun from what was not a sun:
Let life begin.

4 2 1 DEY B 3 CORD TIED

4 2 1 dey B 3 cord tied
My beautiful soul
My lovely one
The only love
We have the same Father
We're son, you're daughter
And we all three B 1
Highlighting the strength and stability God you and I
Holy cord that's bond we bind
That comes from unity and partnership, with God
For He's as third strand in a relationship.

Dance with me

Life might have taken away my ability to dance
But it didn't take out my rhythm
That's why even on my chair
I'm all groovy and fully turned up

I might not hold your hand and spin you around
But I can buy you lovely dresses
So that as you pirouette
It rolls around you like the cupcake you are

I might not get on the dance flow
But I'll hold the mic
And sing my heart out
And you'll be the one everyone's watching as I serenade you

I might not look into your eyes
And tell you how lovely you look tonight
But I'll rest my gaze on you
As you enjoy the beautiful playlist I had just for you

Life might not give me a chance to dance with you
But I'll always get you up on your feet
And make you dance
And I'll watch on with admiration

The PO£T

Am I drowning?

Another conversation within myself.
Another riddle within the spectrum of possibility.
Wouldn't it be wise to search for someone in this
moment of desperation?

Fighting to wipe away these tears that wont keep.
Standing in the rains of despair.
The machine becomes obsolete.
How to find clarity?

Diluted fantasies?
I know somewhere my questions
cease transcending the mark that keeps them guessing.
A fallible facsimile that I'm doomed to repeat.

I only need speak it into existence,
with words that clip dirty wings.
So now no one walks alone.

Avoiding the idea that there is no escape.
Such a desperate moment. Actually, it's beautiful
in the way that I remember her smile.
Desperate when I recall the tears that ran down her face.

My head tilted to the side, trying to make sense of it all.
Trying not to feel at blame, while simultaneously trying to feel it all.
this moment cannot define me, us. I can only wade in this
pool of raw emotion for so long.

Trying to find the pain from scars that have long been healed.
Such an ironic perfection. A momentary lapse of judgement as I let myself slip
under the waterline

Premium MemberFrom My Wife

I’ve never written a poem
Or ever penned a song
But one thing I can always say
My love for you is strong

Life isn't always easy
Sometimes, we just don't know
But everyday, I thank God
For having you, my beau

Your blue eyes are my life
The air I breathe each day
Am I lucky or was I blessed
For having you this way

Your strength keeps me going
Your smile, a beautiful vision
Your love makes me the happiest
Woman in any season

Lyrics by Ionilda (Yoyo) Curtis

Women

the women of my lifetime
are women of a lifeline
they teach me kindness from bright minds
the ones who
despite it all
are still planting seeds
in this ugly world
turning fields of greed
into fields of green
and hate into lovely words
and that's sisters, mothers
girlfriends, lovers
the ones who'll
smother us in hugs
when we're down in trenches
plagued by what's above us
the ones who overcome adversity
and still standing with that weight
the women who had to wait
to be seen
cause change in the world
was running late
i want to rise for our women
move with the times for our women
because women are the ones
who lead with their vision
and i pray that i'll listen
every time she speaks
for the universe
was between her lips

For Her

you get home from a work
greeted with a smile
a hug and i'll hold you for a while
i'll ask how it's been
and you'll give me an answer
that's nothing short of true
we'll go to bed
and greet each other in the morning
rather than every blue moon
and i'll smile
knowing i can hold you again
even if it's only for a little while
you'll laugh
and i'll be reminded
how i love you so
talks of getting married
i promise
i won't ever go
you'll say thanks
for me doing a little chore
i'll say thanks
for loving me often
and loving me some more

Ecosystem

i have an ecosystem inside me
an entire forest
and you've somehow
scratched and carved your name
on every single tree

Premium MemberFrom The Frozen Mist

Hanging in an apple orchard
frozen mist slowly drifts
as soft as a subtle song
When love was young and free

Romance calls to my wandering eye
searching a silken meadow of wild grass high
bending in poetic murmurs
wild tulips bring an inkling to life

From the frozen mist as if a dream had come to life
you appear in a beautiful ray of light

Calling out your name you look upward at soft white clouds passing by...
And in a breath you say "Come come be my light"

Silk Memories

Silhouette of memories, flowing like silk, as waves collides, body to body never sea sick, we medicate each other by staring in each other's eyes, with soft spoken vibes, that penetrates the inner core, to stabilize our chemical balance, achieving the ultimate climax fulfilling the void, without richness, but with simplicity of indigent affection.
Bumping each other's heartbeat, sycronized, like a old school mix tape, bouncing with echos and body rockin like a cali earthquake, If only I had a chance to change the hands of time, to feel, touch, and caress your hourglass of life, with celebration of whip cream, dripping wet, lost in the moment, drowning in your passion, no doubt, mouth to mouth my vitals begin to fluncuat, cause only you, give me life.

Premium MemberThank You My Wife

I want to say thank you
To you, my beautiful wife,
For all you have done
And do for me in life.

My love will stand strong,
Never wavering through any fights,
And day after day my love
Will grow to new heights.

Even when you're not yourself
And life weighs on you,
I'll be there by your side
To help get you through.

In my heart I know
You are my soulmate.
Our meeting wasn't luck;
I know it was fate.

Premium MemberOne Flower

I kneel down
And sweep you off your feet
And hand a loving pleadge
To the girl of my dreams
A flower of promise
A posy of light
I take your hand
And I begin to recite
Words of promise
A story of life
That together
We shall flourish
As one starshine

I Love You and
Will you be my Wife

With love Comes honesty
Of honesty comes truth
Of truth comes respect
With respect come trust
With trust comes gratitude
With gratitude comes joy
With joy a prayer transcends
To quickly manifest

With longitude
Come a vast garden
With latitude
Come a single flower
Rising into the lavender mist
To touch Gods heavenly tower

Premium MemberBeautiful Day Dance

Confetti kisses parade happy face
Joyful tears baptizing licorice lips
Not only was a beautiful day made
But heart is doing butterfly flips
Grooms and bridesmaids chant
Newly wed husband and wife dance

Premium MemberYou Will Always Be My Celebrity

In an equation of love, exponential yet vast/
Still, it can't contain our bond/
Transcending time and past/
You're the star on my Christmas tree, high and bright/
Guiding my darkness with your divine light/
My heart's flame burn for you, a brilliant spark/
You illuminate my world, removing shadows stark/
Each day with you feels like Valentine's Day/
In your presence, all worries sway/
A soul of darkness, yet to you I confess/
Your love, a beacon, in this heart, you bless/
A celebrity in my life, your fame unparalleled/
In this symphony of love/
Our hearts are coiled and meld/
So here I stand, in awe of your light/
In your glow, everything feels just right/
You will always be my celebrity, shining so true/
A love everlasting, forever I adore you/

Premium MemberDear Valentine

Dear Valentine.

It all began in 1970, some 55 valentines ago.
Initially, there was a beautiful citing of YOU.
And quite suddenly, there was a thought of US.
That thought led to a longing desire for execution.
Deep within me was a fixating calculation of means.
The actual procument of resources came next,
Which led to a joyous celebration of YOU and ME.
Resulting in pure elation and satisfaction.

Happy Valentine, my bride.
