TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT

I may be thought aloof and cold
Maybe even more so, as I’m old
Not dull lead, nor yet shiny gold
Perhaps a weird sense of humour
Yet all along, it may be a tumour
If unsure, I will never just leave it

I’m well educated, that’s for sure
On this, never challenged before
Perhaps I was ever seeking more
But knowledge, it’s not all by far
Self confidence, not being a star
I aimed high and I did achieve it

I feel love, some may say muted
But to superficial I am less suited
As in depths, my mind is rooted
Yet I will still look for inspiration
As life offers so little explanation
Me, lovable, I’d hardly believe it

Premium MemberAbolishing The Department Of Education

A human being needs to be educated
In order to make the world a better place
An uneducated politician or bully is a serious menace
To our vulnerable society. Ignorance is deeply rooted
In racism, violence, greed, crimes, frauds, lies and deceits
Banning or ending the department of Education
Will cause irreparable harms to the Nation
Most convicted criminals have no advance degrees
Most recidivists and racists behave like animals on the streets
Like wild tigers in the jungles, like sneaky foxes in the prairies
Most pathological liars are hardened criminals
A good or high-quality education can turn devils into angels
Choosing educated leaders are indeed paramount
Well-educated politicians are smart and benevolent
A brain needs the seeds of instruction and education
A tactless or illiterate mind can easily desolate a great Nation.

the parrot

The Parrot

The bird in the cage has featherless wings folded
to the naked body like squeaking scissors
I'm 89 today let, me out of this bloody cage!
Its owner is hard of hearing, is the widow of a war
veteran, I think the First World War
She tells everyone she meets, 8 million horses and
12 million donkeys were killed on the battlefield and no one
took notice
Humanity only thought of their suffering and were
impervious to animals' feelings, more, a wounded animal was eyed as a potential meal by hungry soldiers
Dragged from a green field to a soggy battlefield and
not a word of thank you
Goulash, the famous Hungarian dish, was made from horse
flesh and camouflaged with paprika, pepper, and salt
for 89 years, the parrot had only been able to read
the titles of books on the shelf on the opposite wall
It had a lively mind and listened to the radio every day
well educated can squawk with the best of them

The Enemy Within

The enemy within

There has been a war up North but after some times
the occupying forces surrendered and took the train
back where they came from.
Newspapers and magazines were (for a while) free
of censors and horrific stories and pictures emerged
which the boy didn’t grasp and soon forgot.
75 years later, the boy, now an old man laid up in
a hospital ward gazing at a white wall remembered
the horrific photos he had seen.
Pictures of sexual deviations, torture and murder
not committed by the foreign occupier but by
opportunists who thrive in the shadow of wars
Sociopaths for whom other lives do not matter
to enrich themselves and indulge in obscene sex
that cumulate in strangling their unlucky victims.
Sociopathy is not an illness, is for them normal
as they are not humans and therefore lack humanity
love is for them, feelings of scant importance.
They, the sociopaths, are well-educated people
found in politics, the clerics, armed forces and
business, where they can exercise power over others
The war in Ukraine is a good example they are
pumping in weapons and refusing any peace negotiation
to the extent of risking a nuclear Armageddon.

The Most Dangerous People In the World

They have always been among us,
most known personally - quite a few.

Yet now it feels like a tipping point,
the needle has swung their way
and they are now in control.

They are not terrorists, spies, or aliens,
they are far more dangerous than those,
their very existence is an existential peril.

Many are well educated, erudite and persuasive
these are the shock troops that lead the followers.
The dumb, the sly, manipulating, walking
talking dumb,
these are our coming doom.

We have no hope now, the tide has turned,
only a miracle can save us.
Pray for us.

8am Thoughts

Written January 25, 2015

The girl is broken
She wanted to be saved
And there's him;

Well mannered
A kind man
He was like an angel

Well dressed
A good man
He was like a prince

Well educated
A lover
He was like a poet

The girl is broken
She wanted to be saved
And there's him

———————————
Did he saved the girl?
"No he's the reason why she's broken."

I Write How I Write

Dear Reader,

I am a very well-educated writer. As we know, poetry is an expression of the poet’s thoughts and feelings. I write how I write, and as a poet, I allow the reader to be inspired by taking them inside this mind of mine.
There are times when subject verb agreements won’t agree and that’s okay. That’s the way I wanted to say it, that’s the way I wanted to write it. I don’t need no spell check or auto correct; I wrote what I wrote the way I wrote it.
Thank you and carry on. (smile)

Premium MemberBoxes of Brains

We are encouraged to think outside the box;
Unfortunately, outside is the unknown.
The brave swap their box for a much bigger one,
However wise or well educated we think we are,
The package you have chosen will become too small.
And come to the realization,
That all strong boxes have lids.

The Fall of the West

The fall of the west

Easy, abortion worrying, call for an appointment at five.
A well-educated woman has a career to consider
this is her right to pursue her dream. (Work before pleasure.)
a mother is hard work and the pay is lousy
Birth rates in Europe are sinking, upsetting the balance of the future.
A less educated woman has to work also one pay packet is not thanks
to our capitalist system called hard graft
In Portugal, the birth rate is low, from one generation to a distressing fall.
Old people die out there are not enough people to take up the slack,
which in the end ruin a country?
If an unmarried woman has 3 to 4 children, she is seen as a loose
Woman, we punish her and her children sending them into poverty
while we should applaud her for saving the future of Europa
What is needed is economic stimulus making motherhood well paid
a career to strive towards.

Premium MemberA Young Mans Dream

A killer with a bat, he knocks it
         out of the park!
         Whilst other boys sit home.
He’s under bright lights in the dark.

         So goal-driven, is he!
With a room full of trophies and
         team memories.

I know all the hard work that brought
         him here.
Both losses and wins, now bring
others, to their feet and cheer!

         He’s a picture of a heart brimming
         with determination.
         Quitters and excuses, just don’t
cut it, in this American nation!

                       ……………………………

         Dedication to Edward, my grandson!
Tall, witty, well-educated and then some!

Success
Written: by Miracle Man
September 27, 2020

Success isn’t a life award,
intended solely for the well educated.
The diploma that reads “school of hard knocks”
is often a subject that many have debated.

Success tipped it’s hat to me,
who displayed patience and perseverance.
In spite of all odds, and others,
they became my motivators not an interference.

True North Strong and Free

Canada is a land to be revered and appreciated,
Land of friendship and strong dreams.

A land where we are well- educated,
Marry and live the Canadian dream.

The beautiful north,
Where cottage living is popular.

Day where we celebrate,
The friendships many.

The many years as immigrants,
Settled in this beautiful country.

The hiking and friends,
Along the exquisite walkways.

Delicious cooking and baking,
The Canadian apple pie.

The schools that educate our children,
With excellence and kindness.

The churches that care,
Befriend us.

God continues to bless us,
Miracles all year.

When It Rains

When it rains in the state of Georgia

When I look at the USA
and the leadership of her people
I understand why so man fled Europe to settle in a country, not theirs
so, what Israel does today is nothing new.
It has like the USA has become a fascist state hoisting the banner of democracy.
We are still free to criticise America or Australia who still has the mindset
of former prisoners.
We can be critical of Sweden that has surrounded their country
to an uneducated mass of Pakistani.
The well educated Syrians usually leave Sweden when the thing in their county
get more peaceful.
Jordan must stop the Jordan valley which Israel thinks of occupying
that can go in there protect the land.
President Abbas of Palestine is a stooge for Israel. He will do anything as long
as he is called president-

Premium MemberTo My First Born

started loving you before I knew you were you
surprise pregnancy but a delight
wanted you to be loved from the beginning

felt close to you from the onset
before you had fingers or toes
before you knew me, I knew you

every kick or punch a reminder
you were here now, a new being
a fresh start, an innocent to protect

you came fast, and you were loved
from the onset, immediately, by all of us
your eyes so beautiful, I could cry over it

when I held you I became a new person
a mommy, your mommy, and I felt beautiful
more beautiful than I had ever felt before

You gave me the world, with your innocent eyes
and your happy laugh, and your keen sense of humor
I never wanted you to grow up. I wanted to keep you small

But you grew and became the best part of me,
you became an inspiration, a well-educated, smart,
exciting piece of me I had never dreamed possible.
And yet here you are, my firstborn, here you are!

Premium MemberWhen You Booze

At first he drank to be one of the boys
To act a bit rowdy, to make some noise
He couldn't resist all the teen peer pressure
Just couldn't say 'No;' had to say 'Yes sir'

Off to college he went to the land of beer tents
Where drinking's the pastime of well-educated gents
Our hero could be found, where pop-tops did sound
Stumbling drunkenly around, or face down on the ground

Armed with a degree, into the world of business he marched
Just like in college, he found his throat dry and parched
At midday he made time to imbibe a liquid lunch
From Monday to Friday, he dipped his cup in the pun

One rain-pouring day, he wobbled to his car
Jumped on the freeway, to fight the rush-hour war
Only this time, reflexes, lulled to sleep by drink
He drove into the guardrail, and his life went 'clink'

His family and friends feigned surprise at the news
They didn't believe what you can lose when you booze...
