WTC Postman Pat

Another hallowed arrow from his quivers

One of cricket’s greatest shiver givers

Coursing down your spine like rivers

Fine line..never dithers as slivers

Of adversaries hopes on the ropes..withers

Tipples tickle our livers

The latest tropes of how

Somehow…anyhow won’t kowtow

Postman Pat delivers

Matinee idol looks tease

Record books hooks please

Finds batters crannies &

Nooks with such ease

Impeccable length…metronomic

Chin music chagrin

Such strength..astronomic

Gift of getting the ball to lift

Chronic bounce…hedonic

With his swag bag of quicks tricks

Name on the adored hall of fame

Lords boards with six..another Cummins elite fix

Beat Bob Willis’s record tome of the best

Test figures for a captain at cricket’s home..

Yep..yet another done like a kipper

By this chipper ripper skipper

Who’s not found wanting

His chiselled jaw..up there for sure

With the mean hardcore

Ponting or Waugh

As the best Test baggie green

Top draw Captain (not woke...just a better bloke) seen on screen

Or that’s maybe ever been

The World Through My Eyes

The World Through My Eyes

This world is full of Beauty,

Such amazing things to see.

The rivers running wild,

In the fall those colorful leaves.

The stars at night just sparkling,

And clouds of pretty Blue.

Flowers blooming everywhere,

With Monarch Butterfly’s too.

I couldn’t help but notice,

The birds were singing today.

The Bees were just a buzzing,

and the squirrels, chattered away.

So take a look around you,

There is so much to see.

Sit back and smell the fresh spring air,

So much out there for free.

My Friend, My Wife, My Dear

My Friend, My Wife, My Dear

There was this real old couple,
Very much in love for years.
I can’t recall a single day,
When he didn’t call her Dear.

They went everywhere together,
He would always hold her hand.
Their favorite place was at the Beach,
Walking barefoot in the sand.

Spending all their time together,
Nothing mattered but his wife.
He wouldn’t trade her for a thing,
Because she was his whole life.

Then they got the news one day,
She didn’t have long to live.
He said if God takes her from me,
I have nothing left to give.

As time went on, he lost his will,
God please take me out of here.
So, I can be with her again,
My Friend, My Wife, My Dear.

1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back

Why is life such a struggle?
like your life has this big crack.
You take one big step forward,
And life knocks you three steps back.
You just can’t seem to get ahead,
No matter how hard you try.
Some days are worse than others,
And it just makes you want to cry.
The Bills are more than what you make,
And Not much money to buy food.
Your getting on each other's nerves,
And it starts to put you in a mood.
Your life just seems so broken,
There is no way to fix this crack.
So you keep taking one step forward,
Just to get knocked three steps back.

I Love

I Love
I love the way you smile,
And I love your Beautiful eyes.
You are like the perfect sunrise,
That just lingers in the skies.
The way you laugh just thrills me,
You're like birds singing in the trees.
I love the way you move your body,
It hits me like a warm summer breeze.
I love the time we spend together,
Because no one else could ever do,
And your love for me is so strong,
That is why I love you too.

The Gift of Love

The Gift of Love
I thought I would always be lonely,
But I was given the gift of love.
She is so kind and understanding,
an Angel sent to me from above.
No matter how bad things, may seem to get,
She is always there to help me fight.
She will hold me so tight and then kiss me,
And whisper everything will be alright.
I thank you for standing beside me,
And for all of the things that you do.
My Life just wouldn’t be the same,
If I didn’t come back, home to you.

Love you, Brenda,

It Might Be An Angel

Might Be An Angel
Have you ever heard a whisper,
You look around, but no one ‘s there.
Did it give you chills and goose bumps,
Or did it just raise your hair.
It just might be an Angel,
That is walking next to you.
A loved one that has passed away,
Who really loved you too.
There are spirits all around us,
It is hard for them to leave.
Their soul will always stay with us,
For as long as you believe.
You may lose a loved one,
And it will surely make you cry.
They will come back as Angels,
We will never understand why.

How Amazing Would That Be

How Amazing Would That Be
I f you could spend one day in heaven,
How amazing would that be.
To visit loved one’s who passed away,
All your friends and family.
I would sit with my father, one more time,
just to see his big warm smile.
and tell him how life’s not the same,
and I have missed him for a while.
Talk to my brother and my nephew,
About the things we use to do,
Tell them how much I love them,
And I miss both of you too.
I would love to see my Grandfather,
He was such an amazing man.
When we left to go back home,
He would always shake my hand.
So give me one day in Heaven,
There are so many I would like to see,
Refresh my mind with all those memories,
How amazing would that be.

These Old Combat Boots

These Old Combat Boots
These old combat boots,
have sure been through a lot.
Hiking through rice patties,
It’s the only pair I got.
Walking miles on patrol,
They never get a break.
Going up and down the mountains,
How much more can these boots take.
Most of the time, there always wet,
Not much time to let them dry
Were Searching for POW camps,
Sometimes it makes you cry.

Our Country's Flag

Our Country’s Flag
Why won’t people stand,
For our country’s flag.
It has a lot more meaning,
Than an old faded rag.
A lot of people died,
For the Red, White & Blue.
All you disrespectful people,
You don’t even have a clue.
Where did we go wrong,
When did you lose your pride.
Disrespect is everywhere,
I think it’s country wide.
I will always stand,
And I will always brag.
There is nothing greater,
Than our country’s flag.

Talk With Me a While

Talk with me a while
Would you bring me flowers,
And place them on my grave.
Sit and talk with me a while,
and show me, you can be brave.
Tell me how much you love me,
We missed so much time apart.
And wishing we could go back in time.
And have a brand new start.
I may not be here anymore,
And your life won’t be the same.
I will always, love all of you.
I guess we are all to blame.

Thanks

To all our men and woman,
from the rich to wearing rags.
The ones who fight for freedom,
and honor our great flag.

God bless you and we thank you,
where ever you may roam.
At night I say a prayer for you,
so you all will make it home.

At times it gets real lonely,
I know how scared you get.
For I have served my country,
I am a VietNam vet.

May God travel with you,
and keep you safe in ranks.
I will send you all a prayer,
along with all my thanks.

Please send them a letter,
I know it helps them through.
They do it for our country,
the red, white and the blue.
