My Friend, My Wife, My Dear

My Friend, My Wife, My Dear There was this real old couple, Very much in love for years. I don’t recall a single time, When he didn’t call her Dear. They went everywhere together, He would always hold her hand. Their favorite place was at the beach, Walking bare foot in the sand. Spending all their time together, Nothing mattered but his wife. He wouldn’t trade her for one thing,, Because she was his whole life. Then they got the news one day, She didn’t have long to live. He said if God takes her from me, I have nothing left to give. As time went on he lost his will, He said God please take me out of here, So I can be with her again, My friend, my wife, my Dear. By: Donald L. Waugh
