Vendettas Poems | Examples

Premium MemberNo Happy Endings

Too many rules,
Too many regulations,
Too much loss
Of self worth,
Pushing us into
Personal vendettas.

You said this,
No I said that.
You talking
To me?
If the shoe fits..
You're no Cinderella.
Well, you're no
Prince Charming!

Let bygones
Be bygones,
Agree to disagree.
No way!
No way!
And so it goes on
With no happy endings.

Economy of language
       Rhythm and flow
     Heightened stylistics
       That's poetry, you know

     Metaphor, simile
       Allusions, imagery...

     Personal vendettas ~
       Unwelcome asymmetry

Premium MemberOn How Poets Grow

Poets grow learning basic forms of poetry
Exploring them using both free verse and rhyme,
Employing basic rules of structure and grammar clear
Selecting themes that resonate in their reader's mind.

The best poems will come from the poet’s inner soul
Helping their readers to gain a new appreciation
Of whatever the theme or subject may be; and rarely
I think, focusing on personal vendettas or from spite.

Young poets, you can describe a virtue in a novel way
Write a compelling verse about some thing you saw,
Something that none of us has ever seen or heard
You can give us something beautiful to think about.

I promise, beginning poet, you have many things to say
Which are descriptive, meditative, novel, or provoking
You can convey to us, your readers, in simplest of terms
And we will continue reading you with utter glee.

V - Verbose

Vivid visuals and verbalization veers to my vibrant vocalization
This variorum
A voice vernacularly vast and vigil with a voluble velocity
Vitalizing the vows in my views
From venting to vomiting
Verses against the vain become volumes about viral variform’s and our voluntary vices
Both viable and venial
Vigorous with a vengeance towards the virus of the modern vision, turning a visionary into a vacant stare
Victims of virtual vendettas, purposeless variables to create a vortex where the vantaged remain victor
The virtuous and valiant stay violated and undervalued while what's vital is just venom in disguise
No vaccine
No volition among the various
The virulent will not vanish at this vertex so we must validate where vertical really leads
I must be vocal on this voyage, vigilant with this vessel and my verbiage approach
Vindictive towards the vile and yet vivacious with every step towards the verge of vacuity

On Any Given Evening

Corridors with wall sized windows are always places of rummage
Where copper candlesticks glisten and
Wood is polished by dirt particles from strenuous journeys.

Everything emits faint smells of
Brandy and vermouth -
the sweat of great silver haired storytellers.

Glasses flood downwards
staining tabletops and armchair sides:
Musings of grey, wrinkled Gods pondering over
50 year vendettas and century long betrayals.

Hardwood floors creak and crack with the footsteps of ghosts:
Generals, grandmothers, and cousins in love.

Luminous forms of dust reveal nothing and everything,
Cycling unto itself over and over again.

Fairytale To Scar

I saved a gift for my future prince
A gift that can only once be given,
But stolen from me, I can only cry
Who wants a used, discarded wench?

Vendettas, anger contrived my soul
Filled where once had been a heart.
A dead man's walk became my life
The selfish attack now takes its toll.

I, first, too young to understand
The brand, The Mark, was placed on me...
Confused with doubt, no sense of worth
The Maker's virtue, no longer at hand.

The dream that wasn't Their's to take
Now haunts my nightmares, endlessly.
Vulnerable, hurt, once innocent, naive
Left to a path that I must fake.

Turn back the clock, Just one more chance!
To choose a different destination
A prince to come, to rescue me...

No.

Trust only myself. Alone. I dance.

"fantasies and Obsessions"

Intolerable inexperience instilled in indifference,
Suddenly shifting. Such subtle shame,
For fallen fantasies, failing fictional fallacies.
Every exception exceeding expectancies,
Never neglecting notable necessities.
Coming completely closed,
Removing reality, reflecting rational reduction.
Perfect possibilities pass presently,
Abandoning avarice and addiction,
When we waver with weakness.
Our options, overt obsessions,
Dampen dreams, destroy desires,
Verify vendettas, vilify victories.
We will willingly wait,
Rise, reach, regrow.

Personal Vendettas

Don’t be afraid of people who against you have personal vendettas.
This only means that you’ve proven to them that you are better.
