The Resurrection of the Sacrificial Lamb

When Christ was resurrected from the tomb,
sunrise broke the gloomy darkness
and the heavy stone rolled away to let Him
flee from the tomb of many sorrows;
His father waited for Him to declare Him
King of Heaven, that place so ethereal,
watching the angels bow to the sacrificed Lamb
and their song was loud and gleeful!

The resurrection of the sacrificial Lamb was God's plan
to redeem sinful Mankind and bring salvation
to everyone; nobody would be spared and saved
had not Christ given up his life for everyone who sinned!

Mary Magdalene fell asleep mourning her Lord
and waking up by the empty tomb, she saw
Christ rise and crying she was overjoyed
by the awesome sight and let her fear unthaw!

The resurrection of the sacrificial Lamb
was an event understood by some, not by all;
only believers spread this news like the apostle Paul,
who knew that Mary bore Christ in her womb!

Winter's Waste

Winter always seemed to hold you
never letting spring burst through

Cold were the nights and dark
some days spent on loving you

fires never would ignite
or light your heart enough
for mine to shine into

broken glass reflected
eyes, another had shattered

frozen spots that love
could not unthaw

I longed for the robin's
song, the wet morning dew

the sun to kiss my face
Oh! how I hated to leave

consumed in what
I was unable to erase

Heartfelt Questions

I have all these questions from inside my heart
Sometimes I don’t even know where to start
But here is my attempt to make you see
You are the woman who makes me feel free

Have you ever really wanted to be with me tonight?
I am always wondering if you want to do it right?
My heart has been broken and I have healed
But I am still in wonder from the love that you wield

We have been through alot in our lives
Out on the road on some very nice rides
I always am happy when you are near
Losing your love is all that I fear

The angels sing for you and me tonight
I know your love it just feels so right
I’m hot and sweaty when you are around
When you are away I am froze to the ground

So please come unthaw me so we can be free
Cause my love is true and I want you to see
And if you don’t answer then I will know
That our time is over and its time to go

Suspended Animation

It's cold over here
Where hearts pump icicles,
Decelerated from normal time wrinkles.
I sit here
Trying to unthaw my mind.
In order to wonder if I exist in time
I never succeed.
I am suspended.

A pig flew over,
And the fat lady sang.
I managed to press "Unpause"
On this game.
The superball sprang
And animated bounce
An energetic ocean
From a simply lifeless ounce.

But time must continue.
The speed must decrease.
And all the lil' sparks here have ceased.
The sloths here get tickets
And man are they slow.
I'd gladly leave
If I had somewhere to go.
When all else has ended,
I remain,
Suspended.

Premium MemberIce and Snow

When the cold winds blow

It can freeze your soul

The feel of ice in your veins

Hoping you can unthaw again

When the snow storm is strong and you can't see

When life is mixed up how can it be

The wind and ice strong and cold

Like the sorrows we behold

The unthawing of the snow

Is like the unthawing of the soul

Each little snowfake of our life

Make up some of our sorrow and strife

So as the drops melt away

And the ice can no longer stay

Let the winds blow our sorrow

Into a new tomorrow

Heart To Unthaw

Cooled off in nitrogen
molded and set
dusted with lightning
and passion beget
Brilliant and shiny
silver and stone
heartbeat gone stagnant
cold and alone
Hidden in darkness
under the bed
packed up in parchment
encrypted and red
Frigid disaster
love on the mend
icicle heartbeat
about to begin
Pumping the crystals
grinding the wall
silver delirium
waiting to fall
Thawing and melting
crying like rain
Heat up the ventricles
Swallow your pain.
Far better be it
to melt in the wind
than stiffen to stone
made of silver or flint
Molt up the metal
soften the flesh
If you're frozen of heart
you are already dead.

Rhythm of Unwinding

Float to freedom
Burst and pop
to winds of change
on tides of red

Break emotion
Logic stops
as words ignite
and flood your head

Call the story
Conjure dreams
to lips still shaking
cold unthaw

Blow the bubbles
to the trees
and then sit back
and laugh in awe...

Spring Plight

My poppies are still alive!

Beneath the weight of the winter sleep
the snow built up to 3 feet deep
they kept their leaves in slumber green
and waited for spring with a shiver

The ice is slow to melt this year
My desire is quicker and sends me out
I pull out soil and extra pots
and clean out the autumn's leaves.

I'm pushing the weather with determination
to send out the sun strong to force creation
I yearn for the days being long with elation
as the blooms bellow forth that it's spring

As usual I'm just an impatient girl
I mirror the poppies alive under ice
A season of red soaring unthaw would suffice
to shake myself free of this winter.

I'll open the windows on all of my hopes
and spring clean my thoughts to a shine
I may be peeling off icicles yet
but the spring time is about to be mine.
