"Can you feel the soul of an abandoned house; can you hear the whispering?"
Quote by - Constance La France
Why did these bedeviled bats
fly right into the windows?
An abandoned house
standing forlorn
amid a desolate landscape
with its window panes shattered
relating a story of one foreboding night
when these bats splattered their blood
on the shards of glass
strewn all over the blighted floor.
These nocturnal creatures, skilled
at navigating a labyrinth of caves,
what drove them to their gruesome fate?
Alas, if only these broken windows
or the bloody shards of glass can tell the tale.
Maybe, as the tale is being told,
It's the tragic tale of star-crossed
lovers who were pursued, persecuted
and thrown into an oubliette
never to see the light of day.
Why does love exact such a dreadful wage?
Was it their lost souls that
spooked the birds to their death?
Ha, if only these grimy walls can breathe in
even a dismal whisper of the past.

Barefoot I could walk this beach
Forever and yet never reach
That fabled land where sand meets sky
I never will, though I might try
Barefoot among empty shells
With hermit crabs’ permit to dwell
And none or all to call my home
I take comfort in the ephemeral foam
Barefoot by this misty bay
Where spindrifts spill their silver spray
And strands of kelp can’t help but scroll
Love letters in the sand and soul
Barefoot I will stroll this shore
Forever and for evermore
In driftwood dreams, I seem to fly
I never will, though I might try.

Why wallflower hearts need such a hard shove
tho' reckoning an endless friendship grown.
Wi' turned pedal eyes' slow blossom to love
in yesterday's finest summer wind blown.
Wonder will unquiet heart stop midbeat
boyish peril calm and sweat'd palm betrays.
Enticed perfume's smell as trembling lips meet
fulfilled in deep need under heaven's gaze.
So easy said as two friends forever,
could I've but known alone's high price to pay.
Promise kept in knife's sharpest endeavor..
when fool bravado'd soul gave yours away.
Once so familiar heart left at love's feet,
still savor days heaven chose ne'er complete.

Staples were traveling on the
epiderm, thanking the wounds.
The dust, the eternal ugliness
were growling.
Riveting drama:
a royal swanking for a macabre
heist. A bizarre charisma
overtakes the cozy lips.
I was green,
and I was a cloud
where the sunflowers meet
beneath the sun.
Blind poppies assert themselves
unfurling a flag of milky sap.
The wasps were going-
to become stingless.

soaring upon a brisk winter breeze
my mind on fast forward surfing
along in opposite directions cant
slow down the breeze up lifting
my entire self my cheeks blood
red twisting, turning whizzing by
flying thru the sky white fluffy
clouds a hand span away
like my mind almost so
close to scramble back
together thats creeping its
way slowly slipping away
in this unquiet mind.

Serious trouble!
Shooting barbs at
each other
While the moonlight shines
overhead
Once there was
a "kind of love"
But the illusion
may have passed
Shards of what
was
exist in the
even
g shadows
If we can light up
the flame again
Then we came warm ourselves
together
But an uneasy
feeling
is growing
Let us have
peace
Let us enjoy
the time we have
left
Love is a gust of wind
passing quickly
A brief moment of
relief
From the difficulties
of life

The Great Unquiet - 2
Aye !
Before the dark madness
Before the lost
Before eternal embraces
Before silence
Aye !
And after time
Has waited
Too long
And for too much
Aye !
Perhaps too late
Yet never stops
In its yearning

The Great Unquiet
Wherefore you this incandescent lit
Should you turn all your light
To sorrow
Wherefore you jewel amidst pebbles
Should you make from diamonds
This sadness
So
Come my love think not
Break nothing against frustrated walls
Do not my love
Strip illusion to threadbare patterns
Tune not this needles twine
To pluck inharmonious chords
Wherefore the heat of your tears
Should you trace your love by their fate
To this weariness
Wherefore you this petal of tenderness
Should you so paint your colours to answer drear
In emptiness
Quiet now my love think not on
Take this salted pinch to toss it wayward
And do not my love
Burden your dreams with such as arid sands
Or make their dunes
To mountains unattainable
Hush now my love
Do trouble not
Come rest your tired soul
Hush now my love
Be at peace
Come rest in my quiet soul
Wherefore now my spirits light
Should it not dance with you
To forever
Wherefore I if not by your side
To mark such sorrow, such sadness
Into I passes all weariness and emptiness
