Premium Member Ode to the Night Sky

When you feel the spark of life dim,
look then to the twi-lit skies:
each sunset is a painted
promise of tomorrow,
possibility within each
brushstroke cloud.
The ghosted moon,
only half realized,
reflects gently
the divine course
for us to follow, or
reject as we desire.
And all cannot be lost
while the stars still shine:
by them, ancient sailors
plotted course back home, or
explored the farthest shores.
After all, the gods had
placed them in the sky
to teach us how to dream.

Tomes of Twi

a curious coin flipped free and fell forever fishing forgotten wondrous waves woven wide in a wishing well.
on it wandered heeding head and telling tale of a decisive certain self as written in "the tomes of twi,"
(tw0 t1mes as binary transcribed, preserved there once for each possible i)
deep deep down in mother drowned the coin where by and by
such hopeful heat grew glorious great and there where through and through
rock flows into and knows each other as it's one true self.
the coin once tossed now at a loss for ways as it draws near:
it felt the sway it knew so clear at start was at an end.
no longer flipped, but rather dripped,
as the heart it did approach with glee.
shuddering round and up and down it came to rest right here:
and here, the tomes of twi concur, some miracle occured...
for as a dot.
will light a line
the coin this time did rightly left decree:
to be nothing more than mystery?
the one true way, as some might say,
was told that day upon a sphere,
and there we see ourselves entwined
upon a perfect mirror.

I think I have a grem/in, lurking in my words
I'd left a win/ow open and thought it was the birds
But then I heard a thud and a cry for he/p
Saw the little blighter, the elf upon the shelf.

He got very hungry, some letters he did eat
Put slashes where the letters were, do / admit defeat
It was for a contest, no time to put it right
hope that when its judged ,'twi/l be the dark of night.

Oh well I'll send it off, I've got nowt to lose
Meanwhile I'll write another if / can find my muse
That elf upon the she/f has caused me some grief
Never would I have had him down as a letter thief.

(a rhyme but some of the letters have been eaten away and replaced with forward slashes by a wicked elf)

Premium Member I Am Robot

I wake up to the dawn of each day
As I lay there in the Twi-light zone
I momentarily wonder, have I awoken
Or am I still somewhere in my dream
Like clock work
I realize that I woke up to yet another sunrise
I promptly head to the head, wash my hands and brush my teeth
And then, I head straight for the coffee pot
As I sit in the same chair as I do every morning
I sip my coffee that I have diluted
With the same amount of milk and sugar as I always do
Then click, my lap top goes on
I immediately go to PoetrySoup or Facebook
And then, I see all the other robots on here.

the Fall flame
died back
became
           twi-lit,
phased out
not
      dead,
            dormant
              sleeping
'til
 the sun
             returns
to spill..
        it's warmth
                 again

Twee Twee, Twi Twiti Twi

Twee…Twee,
Twi…twiti…twi;
We are birdie sing a song,
wake up Sun,
It’s time to work;
Ghosty night gone,
was past,
Now in bright side of life;
‘O’ my Sun give us warmth,
Glisten us with your ignis;
Twee…Twee,
Twi…twiti…twi;
Florets they bloom,
Wet in ravishing dew,
Strewing tipsy scent;
Wavy breeze cooling us,
We flutter dance;
Its a time beak to beak,
We are birdie sing a song,
Twee…Twee,
Twi…twiti…twi;

Women Secrets

WOMEN SECRETS

Someone stretches his neck
Whenever she passes
Someone makes a nodding chuckle
Whenever she was heard talking

At times we brawled in pepper arguments
And she never suspects one thing
Theres nothing seen so better
What is seen is geometric triumphs

What is heard is hypnotic octaves
A walking triangle talking Ewe, Ga and Twi
A walking rectangle eating Akple, Komi and Fufu
A walking hour-glass dancing Atsiagbekor, Kpanlogo and Adowa

Yes ! a miracle of a woman
What set us yowling
Never seen from the side
But always from the her back and her face

That beauty of a woman
That buttocks of a woman
That breast of a woman
Her worth that scaled down Bank of Ghana

her voice that down-pitched the Beethoven
A babies thrown where they are nurtured
Fathers heaven where virility trives
Woman Ayekoo !

Jabberwocky Redux

                  After reading too much Aquinas

Would an aphid reside in an onager’s ear
if the onager’s master spoke Twi?
Or a Gascony scop with a leper elope
if a civet leapt out of a tree?
         You doubt it? Read Thomas and see.

Would an addax in Denmark gyrate
if an emu in Sweden bore freight?
Or an eland in Chile complain
if jerboas in Goa refrain?
         You doubt it? Read Thomas and see.

For really I thought ‘twas the onager taught
the aphid the tenor of Twi, and
that Gascony scops with Norwegians eloped
when Danes had lepers to tea.
         You doubt it? Read Thomas and see.
