JULY SEARING SWELTERING
Heated hot placement boils torrid;
Desert a blazed atomic fire;
Summer hot breath balmy pungent;
Searing aromatic spiced boils;
~
Summery canicular toasty;
Seething is fervent fiery;
Heated hot placement boils torrid;
Summer hot breath balmy pungent;
~
In this muggy sizzling fervid
Scalding warm glowing July day

Cast your bread upon the water
if you like it soaky
As for mine it’s in the oven
‘cos I prefer it toasty

If my heart was a house
You would feel warm and safe
I would cuddle you and cherish you
We would be toasty in winter
Cool and calm in summer and spring
The daffodils would delight us
We would be excited about life
Enthusiastic about our hobbies
Happy to have each other
We would not need a fire
For we would be the fire
If my heart was a house

Icebergs floated all around me –
frozen is no place to safely flee.
I fell down on an ice crystal,
then I heard you whistle
and felt myself turn towards bold
so I could leave this place so cold.
So many crevices and cracks.
Frigid ice coated my back.
A glacier's huge backhand
flew our memories to slush land.
As my shivers began to shake,
I felt my knees tremble and quake.
Love never knows its hold on tomorrow.
Days are not warm laced against sorrow.
Your repeat, sleety emotion
will not ease glacial commotion.
Frozen mist will not reinstall
your flaming, toasty love recall.
I bear your gift of numb fraught,
that will thaw in icebergs not.

My feet are toasty
Sun has warmed porch to biscuit baking hotness
I consider going in for my shoes
But pups are lying in front of the door sleeping

It's a New Year again,
Time to turn another
page -- though I am
far from new~
closer to Old Sage.
Time to forgive...and let
go... -- as seasons flow
the cold of January
will leave our North~
Southern breeze will again
melt the snow, thawing
Nature's frostier thermostat --
(a subtle lesson in
there for all of us) --
Myself, never much for skiing --
having taste closer in line with toasty-sand
and dazzling-shore
however, no need to further bore anyone with
my own preference -- mindful that we all have
personal deference -- but more than enough
in fond common not to foolishly feel need to share any
affections not deemed innately neutral, amiably acceptable when
cordially meeting and passing -
My this year's resolution:
To make a little less fecal
pollution
to love a little more
a welcome mat not far from
the bell camera at the front
door --
I won't be naively foolish -- but maybe
a bit less frightfully ghoulish...

What the Dickens! Santa ain't wearing knickers
well his pants got caught inside the chimney
now here's the kicker...
Little Joe woke up in the middle of the night
and gave Santa such a jolly fright
now here's the kicker...
It was drafty there wasn't any gas nor heat
Mrs. Chump snored upstairs like dead meat
now here's the kicker...
Mr. C was 5 feet tall and wasn't a Clause at all
he didn't know how to rob Peter to pay Paul
now here's the kicker...
The real Ms. C owned a solar panel, Oh what fun
gave it to Ming Ming who flew like a Son Of A Gun!
now here's the kicker... Eh !
He burned Santa's pants then laughed, giggled, scoffed
but as Santa danced around the sun poured in the loft
now here's the real kicker...
Christmas was a blast now little Joe C could finally be,
toasty as a glow worm in a house built for three.
Merry Christmas Everyone !
Love,
From Santa's Girl :)

I wish I could prevent frostbite.
But sometimes that’s impossible.
Ice that is rugged and sleek.
Tapping my knuckles on it.
Brand new ice.
That came from nowhere.
The avalanche.
Almost killed me.
Now I’m hundreds of feet high.
And my arm and leg are visible just above the snow.
I try to move my arm.
It moves but I feel nothing.
Thinking.
Icy thoughts.
Forget the toasty fireplace at home.
Family around the couch.
Thinking about…
Ice cream. Ice skating. Icicles.
Will somehow keep me alive a little longer.
I hope the helicopter sees my red coat.
Before it snows again.

Pic's of friend's grandkids,
my son, his girlfriend
A wooden mallard
A wooden mustang
My grandpa's paintings
My game keyboard
December chill
An itchy back
A cold, wet nose
Neighbor's chat
Creaking walls
Toasty dryer
Hot tea
ginger
Scone

I'll wrap you in my loving arms
?
Tonight my love, tonight
'Neath my old blanket, toasty warm
?
Tonight my love, tonight
I'll kiss you while soft music plays
?
Tonight my love, tonight
And on your eyes I'll fix my gaze
?
Tonight my love, tonight
I'll whisper to you pretty things
?
Tonight my love, tonight
And forget the world if you would sing
?
Tonight my love, tonight
I'll get real close, 'tween us no space
?
Tonight my love, tonight
And say I love you to your face
?
Tonight my love, tonight
When will it be, not now t'would seem
Tonight my love, tonight?
T'will happen when of you I dream
Tonight my love, tonight

autumn sparkles with shiny colors
her leaves twinkling and winking in the breeze
the forest is full of golds and reds today
walnuts are piling under my tall leafless tree
there should be a coolness, it is autumn, right?
but it is ninety-two degrees, odd for Kansas
this is nearly mid October, too warm for fall
I sit outside and smell charcoal from neighbors
homecoming game will be toasty warm
plaid skirts and tennis shoes can be replaced by tiny dresses
wraps unnecessary this year, even though it is autumn
unnaturally warm, unless the weather changes fast

toasty variegated yarn from Oskaloosa
the hues of colors
red blue yellow green
knitting needles are clicking along
warm mittens and slippers
afghans and shawls
a dress for a toddler
clickety clack clickety clack

Indigo ink dreams
Dripping from heart
Tattoos tongue with kinetic kiss
Green electric buzz like sip
Of fine blueberry wine so sweet
Dreamy turquoise love touch
Filling me up with red desire
On fire for your romantic antic
Sweeping me off my feet
Carrying me with ease
Of a blue breeze to deserted love island
Where tan sands caress like brown hands
White waters flow warm and toasty
Fast slow then in closing cold
Never let go of this love
For it floats like a boat

I could die today by walking outside because of the wind chill factor.
or die tomorrow if I accidentally stepped into the way of Mr. Jay’s tractor.
I could die on Wednesday choking on a piece of pepper steak.
If I did this too early, I would not get any of the German chocolate cake.
I could die on Thursday if I froze to death by not being toasty warm.
Friday could take me out if we were invaded by Mexican bee swarm.
I could die on Saturday or Sunday, or I could even die tonight.
I wish we could choose our dying way, it might take away some fright.

Let's start ourselves a fire
And I don't mean the kind
That's started up with kindling
I've something else in mind
We'll build it up real slowly
Until we're toasty warm
Who cares what's going on outside
I want a big snowstorm!!
Each of us a matchstick
We'll strike at the same time
Combine our flames together
And watch the celsius climb
Our hearths aglow in love light
Slow burning firewood
This may just be a long night
But it will be so good
