Time has run out
Wish i had prepared
We take for granted the ones in our lives
We carry on our everyday like we have forever
But then reality smacks you in the face
The ones you took for granted are no longer here
My life is a complicated one
But my world was blessed by so few
The ones you will always remember
The Johns The Tims The Chriss The Hectors
The Marthas The Miguels The Dorothys The Joesphines
The Elmers so on and so forth
The people that no longer here to share your memories
The days so short
Life placed these few here to reward you
To let you see there is so much more to you then yourself
As i get older i wonder who has took me for granted
I wonder will they ever realize what they have
The answer harder then the question
Life is about cherishing every waking moment while you still can
Pushing to be better in more ways then you know
Remember to pause and truly see what you have in your hands before it becomes to late.
Love every person that is and has been a part ot this man's complicated life.

From the eyes of a child
Like the rise of the Nile
Are brown rivers of soul and bold green chemistry.
Disobedient despite being scold
Never believing they'll get old
Creating cliques of tribal frenemy
New shoes Nikes or Tims painted white
worthy of slim boy girl fight
Running on black street growing ice cold
Fearless as the bullets fall
Silver gun tossed or lost
Like grey asphalt rose
From the eyes of a child
Once celebrated but not now
For cops and robbers no longer a game
Puberty is a dark cloud
Hanging stranger fruit found
Adults who train them never to blame.

I thought she had all the remedies
As at first seemed like such a blast
Perhaps on my part the insecurities
Why things between us never did last
Was it maybe just diffrent personalitys
Though at times felt a stark contrast
Though there were many opportunities
For answers to questions never asked
Now though it would seem just memories
What once was is now of course the past
Becuse this girl l once knew it seems shes
A faded out picture of my everlasting cast
NOTE- abstrats from 1996 poem worlds apart like poems
You,gone take from ame poem about two diffrent relationships at diffrent tims 1998,and 2014

Salute To Michael Jackson
Fade from black to grey
Fade from red to pink
Fade from white to yellow
But no matter what
You always stood mellow
No discriminations
No racism or ignorance
Could stop you…
For you were a true king
And it was in you we believed
You inspired us all
So we know that if we fall
We must get bck up
Stomp the dust off our Tims
Say a prayer as we look up
And we’re back at it again
Salute to Michael Jackson
As we stand side by side
Forever we’ll respect
And keep your memory alive.
Rest In Peace: Michael Jackson

Thugs in the street with their pants hung low
White T's and Tims with two golds in the front row
Philly fades or braids, du-rags, and fitted hats
Sweat towls around the neck
Baseball caps turned to the back
See some people would call them hoodrats
because of where they live at
Not knowing the situation
Seeing the problem
Or trying to give back
Instead they just judge the book by it's cover
Instead of calling the book your brother
See if we don't stick together
And if we don't love each other
And stop calling us women B's and Hoes
for we all know that's not the way love goes
So black people lets take a stand
Reach out and touch your brothers hand
Lets make this world an equal place
Because we've proved that we can

I couldn’t zip up my pants and walk out the door
Ground floor the sleeper
So much weaker, no, you are of importance like the
Tims, the hat, and the shoes while rockin’ the wife beater
Who’s the speaker if two become one
Authentic mirroring like moon eclipse on sun
Darkening the light towers leaving other ships
Cold stranded forsaken
If we should kiss forever, who would be clever
to stay with the one lip, wrinkled and shaking?
Why do I lay here breathing and taking in an individual
Personality
Holding the hips and arguing that it’s a technicality
And you are special
Because you are the hold
I’ve never held before
