A prisoner she’s not - breaks out of cage.
In absence of spotlight, still darkness fades.
We’re thunderstruck, she’s breathtaking on stage.
Audience favorite, her star pervades.
Her proverbial voice does shatter glass.
In absence of spotlight, still darkness fades.
A full-range tone, full of comedic sass,
as she sings, “Good Morning, Baltimore,” gold.
Her proverbial voice does shatter glass.
A bow and bounce of curl, her “Hairspray,” bold.
My soul is moved, my eyes are proud with tears,
As she sings, “Good Morning, Baltimore,” gold.
Her lilting song: “I Can Hear The Bells,” cheers
With heart and soul, with angel’s wings, their lift.
My soul is moved, my eyes are proud with tears.
A bashful child no longer hides her gift.
A prisoner she’s not - breaks out of cage,
With heart and soul, with angel’s wings, their lift.
We’re thunderstruck, she’s breathtaking on stage.

I had no idea it was love I was falling in,
But through the freefall I saw his eyes,
And from the eye of the hurricane we stood within,
He saw through my every disguise.
He bent my will and lit up my sky;
His thunder silenced my fear.
Coppery clouds have me wondering why
His violent storm makes my eyes see so clear.
Broke me and fixed me, he promised to carry
My burdens tattooed on his veins;
He was the thunderstorm in the valley
And I was the girl who smelled like rain.

How lovely is the lightning that leads to relaxing rain....
As the thunder rumbles away my pain....
My heart is pure, my soul unstained, yet I cry all the same....
Tears of joy? I remember not, most oft tears of disdain....
I shed them as I smile gently, for they are mine to claim.

The clouds shook
A thick, black, very wet blanket out
In the Southeastern quadrant
Of the New Mexico firmament,
Complete with lightning
And growling, crackling,
Massive basso-profundo sound effects,
Inviting the sun to rest,
Take a load off,
Reeellaaaxxx!
Abrasively radiant,
Helios glared a brilliant, heated, passionate,
Steamy smile
Into the arid monsoon skies
And refused Storm’s invitation
To lie down and go to bed
