Premium Member THUNDERSTORM

The sky has forgotten
How to be polite,
Undulating clouds arrive
Needing no invitation
Demanding attention,
Echoing with loud shouts
Restrained by nothing
Short of celebration~
Tonight I am honored
Only to be here
Responding to the wildness,
Merging my soul to the storm.

Thunderstorm

Crash! Bang! Boom!
Thunder crashes,
A million voices
Roaring as one.

Lightning flashes,
Dancing across the sky
In perfect rhythm
With the storm's spring song.

A thunderstorm

A scary thunderstorm comes raging in across the sky screaming and yelling. The skies turn dark gray with lightning and loud booms of scary thunder. Rain pelts the sky and objects as it falls down. The lightning strikes over and over again until with a last mighty flash it gives up. The thunder slowly dwindles down into a grumble. The rain slowly lets up to a trickle until it too stops completely.

Whisper of Hooves

In the dark night of the jungle,
During a thunderstorm and heavy rain,
A lone fawn appears in flashes of lightning,
Separated from its mother,
Frightened by wild creatures and wilderness.
The roar of clouds
And the terrifying roar of the king
Force it to hide behind a mound.
Time stretches like years,
Yet its endurance bears fruit.
The clouds lose their fury before the fragile fawn
And drift away like a defeated army.
Stars emerge; the fawn’s hope strengthens.
The moon lights its trembling path.
After a few dreadful hours,
Guided by patience and faith,
The fawn reunites with its mother
In the silver light of the moon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
winter's fist slams frozen earth.
frozen thunder trembles through
the bones of the oaks and pines.
night cracks like thin ice.
Premium Member Sound of a Thunderstorm
t sounds like there is an angry conductor in heaven
Loud crashing and banging that startles me
Was it supposed to rain tonight? I ask my echo dot.
She verifies that thunderstorms are expected
They are here now; it is frighteningly angry-sounding.
Did monsters escape from the bowels of hell and go up there?
Another loud clang of a giant symbol makes me wonder about electricity.
Will it be going out? This often happens during storms like this one.
It sounds like a Ferris wheel has collapsed.
Without people, for there is no screaming.
Only the loud angry thuds of destruction.
I visualize people being carried away downstream
Premium Member midnight thunderstorm
Because death is the only thing that could have ever kept him from you. ~Ally Carter
     midnight thunderstorm
     the low rumble of thunder~
     our bed half empty
Premium Member A Thunderstorm Is Beautiful
The art was most beautiful on the dark canvas:
a background that set up a stage for unfolding
explosions of light struck beneath growls of thunder
as swift swords of steel slash full clouds once holding-
the deluge, escaping as a glistening wonder.
The art was most beautiful on the dark canvas,
as Moon hid behind the large battle, ongoing.
Her sky was at war, and the bullets were flying,
and lightning exploded, while clouds began flowing.
The art was amazing- though fright left me sighing.
Premium Member Full Blown Thunderstorm in Kansas
a tiny drizzle or an avalanche of water cascading like Niagara Falls?
April is giving us a joyful nod, emptying her clouds one at a time
Clothes on the line went from being sprinkled to saturated
robins had been hopping happily; now they are in hiding
I was dancing with joy for the garden and I needed rain
But this is a muddy mess, the lawn is swampy, grass seeds washed away
my umbrella is inside out, for this storm has brought intense wind
It feels like a monsoon.
I have stopped splashing. Electricity is zapping across the sky.
God appears to be moving a piano up there.
Loud sounds of crashing and thrashing.
A full-blown thunderstorm.
Thunderstorm
The fury of a thunderstorm
Should not be a surprise,
For prior to its sudden booms
Come dark-as-nighttime skies.
The wind whips up, the branches sway,
The air cools down a bit
And lightning zigzags right before
The thunder seems to hit.
Then with a crash the storm attacks,
The booming close and loud,
Which causes shrieks and running feet,
Dispersing any crowd.
Umbrellas open, wipers snap
And car alarms might beep
While anyone caught napping
Will be jostled from that sleep.
Most typically, the storm won’t last
As rumbles move away
And rain lets up to save itself
For yet another day.
Quite often, then, the sun appears
And brings with it the heat,
The only proof of the event
The puddles on the street.
We loved like a thunderstorm
We loved like a thunderstorm
Brief, but powerful
Before the thunder even started
There were warning signs
Like a slight breeze
And when lightning struck
It destroyed yet stopped after a while
But there would still be more lightning
And the rain drizzled
Like the tension always between us
The grayish blue clouds
Were like the barriers
Hiding your secrets from me
A thunderstorm always ends
And that's exactly what we did
Rainbow In A Thunderstorm
Darkness surrounds me on the path I walk,
Isolated and distant from everything,
Secluded from everyone,
But I keep going.
Rain starts to pour,
The world is crying with me,
Thunder shakes the soggy ground,
And lightning strikes a fallen tree.
My heart knows it’s over,
Life doesn’t give a second chance,
But just as I start to give up hope,
Something catches my glance.
The shapes of the clouds start to deform,
I see a rainbow in a thunderstorm.
Premium Member Morning Thunderstorm
The house rocked with the power
Of the thunder this morning
As I was sipping my morning coffee
I could hear the deluge of rain
Hitting the windows and roof
I am thankful I am safe inside
But every storm makes me so aware
And in awe of the power of nature
as my thoughts and emotions
Converge into their own perfect storm
Thunderstorm
• My day be so fine
• Then boom! A thunderstorm
• I found a nearby college and they let me stay
• They even allowed me in a vacant dorm
