Premium Member Somewhat Injury-Prone

First grade, pelted with eggs
  Second grade, broke both legs
Third grade, fell down the stairs
Fourth grade, clawed by a bear

Fifth grade, ran into a tree
  Sixth grade, twisted a knee
Seventh grade, concussed my head
Eighth grade, fell out of bed

Ninth grade, had meningitis
  Tenth grade, appendicitis
Eleventh grade, torn hamstring
  Twelfth grade, acute bee sting...

So, to allay any fears from admission committees
I wrote the following college application ditty:

You may consider me somewhat injury-prone
But I have yet to break my first wishbone
And I give you my whole-hearted assurance
That I will use my parents' health insurance

Homage To My Father

From a farmer cottage, he was a naive villager
Being orphan he got admission in madrasah
Completed memorizing the holy Quran
Till tenth-grade general learning he ran

In several madrasahs and mosques, he worked
At the age of fifty, he quitted all kinds of jobs ark
No, he was not frustrated, chose grocery business
Still, he is activated in him at seventy, one less

Greed for the earthly affairs defeats not him
He is full of life learning and self-esteemed
Lot sufferings come and go; he in strong patience
To his family, he's spending whole life conscience

As a burden child still I couldn't do anything for him
Feel proud to salute as my father and prayer hymn

Voluntary and Involuntary Sportsmeet Contributions

This January, I was in the tenth grade,
when our Head informed
that we couldn't contribute to sports meet next year,
and we all did our best this year.

I volunteered for two,
signing up for badminton and long jump
then they asked me to have a go at TT too.

I didn't know anything about table tennis
But I said yes anyway.

I went for badminton,
(I was reserve)
I floated above the sand pit,
But stopped right there,
not reaching the top three.

What about my Table Tennis?
Please don't ask:
I was so bad that I couldn't get my serve through,
and my opponent donated me some marks.
("TT is like badminton" - you liar!)

So that was how I played all my sports,
but I couldn't do anymore.
I had keep the big day free,
to play my trumpet - and also to stand straight until the whole thing ends.

* based on how I contributed to the sportsmeet this year. I didn't gain any placement or certificate, but I'm happy because our house turned out to be the first, and I felt proud when I played the fanfare as a player in our brassband.

note: almost everything in this is consisting of true incidents.

Premium Member Jimmy Our Class Clown

Jimmy was our class clown in tenth grade.
He especially liked kidding our over-wrought, hand-wringing English teacher.
She droned on and on and on in such a dry, dull way, every 55 minute period.
It was especially exasperating to those of us who could read.

After about thirty-five minutes of it,
Jimmy would slide himself onto the super wide window sill
And disappear out the window, screaming all the way down,
as if he had been killed.
We would all laugh and some idiot would yell
“Jimmy fell out the window!” as if it was unusual.
The teacher nearly had a heart attack each time.
Of course I did not realize until later why it was a big deal.

Jimmy landed quite softly on a rather large Mulberry
bush under the window sill, never getting hurt.
We would all rush to the window and look out.
Laughing at our grinning Jimmy who had brought joy to class again.

The principal would soon bring a grinning Jimmy by the ear back to class.
If our English Teacher had ever looked up from her book or stopped her droning she might have seen Jimmy sliding onto that cement windowsill.
I marveled that she never changed her routine in any way.

MY HOBBIES---

Since the dawn of 60's
Art and music been close to me
The colors the canvas papers and inks pens
Art drawings Ahh!! yes those Stan Lee Marvel comics
A collector I was and still am
This was and is an activity I engage in for historical reasons and pleasure

Forming a comic club first before role playing cards became popular
In music in high school was in a few groups
But mainly vested in lyric/songwriting my best friend and I
From tenth grade in creative writing class until present time-now
Yet still I write songs and poems
A total of three published works

So I love to collect and read, Marvel comic books
Love to create and draw my own super heroes
Love to write songs and poems praising God
An activity I engage in for historical reasons and pleasure
These are my hobbies I love
An activity interest pursued outside my regular occupation I engaged in primarily for pleasure.
Collecting drawing comics
Reading creating poems and songs
Listening to Christian and Gospel music and K-love
These are the hobbies I does...

Couples' Skate

Bright lights grow dim throughout the rink,
An amplified voice then resounds:
“Now boys and girls, let’s couples’ skate,”
So, girls drop speed, coast off and stop
While on, I roll, with all the guys—
Some lag, they pause, inviting girls,
Pairs slowly crowd the roller floor
Though I just eye my current crush,
A teensy blond with eyes soft green,
I pass her once, subduing nerves,
My thighs I swipe with sweaty palms,
Then, arcing back, I spot her face
Just lifting to some tenth grade lug;
She shrugs and nods and takes his hand,
They sway and roll and smoothly glide,
Her face content and tempo light.
With sinking heart and throat gone tight
I sit and watch her ponytail:
It sways and bobs with each dark lap,
I brood and loathe her happiness.

Sonnet To the Pupil of My School

Hey I wrote a sonnet. The subject is the agony of leaving behind friends after tenth grade, cause i am leaving tenth grade this year. Its my first sonnet, tell me how is it Rate it out of ten

Few months, till we become unknown strangers
Like a book is unknown to a hoodlum
Memories raise their hand like front benchers
Tears in my eyes should come
Bouncing from department to department
Traveler of a new path like a water droplet
Can’t sail much longer, old river ends
Some notes of love, some of hate
Still for something good something is bad
We will make new friends for sure
Leaving behind the best time we have had
For a life, a boring braggadocio
You may meet each other in your sphere
Remind you, Kanji won’t be there
